I'm still smh that people think those are bad movies.
The first half of Captain America I thought was great, I really enjoyed it, all the way up until after the montage of Cap speaking to troops (which was also terrific imo). After that it went downhill and I don't remember much. The whole setting, time period stuff etc. all of that I really liked though, and also bought the relationship between Cap and the lady. I felt genuinely sad for him when he wakes up and realizes everything is gone including her.
Iron Man 2 was very weak but not terrible. They shouldn't have replaced War Machine, Downey was barely able to carry the film. I thought Rourke and Sam Rockwell were good it's just the way everything was executed. This film should've been dark imo and really make Stark into a piece of shit alcoholic who redeems himself. Instead it went jokey jokey YOU'RE RUNING MY PARTY LOLOL LET'S SUPER CGI FIGHT. Changing war machine completely killed the relationship between Tony and him also from the first film and reset everything. The first film had heart and was just all around very good in a world where Dark Knight raised the stakes for comic films.
Thor was absolutely dreadful, I could go on and on about it but it's not even worth the time, it was just bad. I feel bad that Natalie Portman had to be in this one when she's worth much more.
