I'm just telling how it's over here and, it seems, outside of America in general. People pay to see the movie, not some guys wanting to be lol so funny.
People trying to make funny remarks during trailers, or even the movie, would get nothing but annoyed looks and hush.
I don't know, it just seemed weird to me that it was so widespread. A bunch of people booing at a trailer is something I cannot really imagine.

If someone did it in the middle of the movie it would be annoying. You're talking about the fucking trailers. Who cares. It adds to the social experience, which is a major factor to go to a movie, especially a midnight release, in the first place.
I felt reallly dumb when it was brought up. I felt like I should have known what it was but I had never heard the word before.

Sorry, DM. My thoughts on The Avengers will stay as high as they are right now. Nolan is the only filmmaker whose work gets substantially better (Prestige, BB) or worse (TDK, Inception) each time I see it. But I will agree with you about whatever I say about TDKR in July - a year from then I'll probably be singing a different tune.

I forgot about Battleship. A guy next to me said, "Goddamned boardgame movie" and there was some mild mocking laughter.
Also, I have figured out the Marvel Studios pattern! Released in May (Iron Man, Thor, The Avengers)? It will be awesome. Released anytime else (The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America)? It will be crap.
Therefore I can tell you with absolute certainty that Iron Man 3 will be awesome while Thor 2 will stink. It's a highly scientific method.
