Only do it if Dr. Doom leads them and is with the villains from the movies. Now that would be cool.
i heard they're making the First Class sequel based around Magneto... a FF movie based around Doom as the main character could be so good.
You know what really doesn't age well? The first X-Men movie. I tried to watch it again on DVD some months back, and it felt like a goddamn TV movie. :/

And Civil War, the concept, is as classic as you can get. Big fight between superheroes. Just make their reasons to do so less stupid and make Iron Man less of a nazi.
I'd like to see Stark to come up with some more specifically themed suits. The Mark 7 wasn't very different from the one he had before.
X1 is really terrible for every possible standpoint.
I think that's a given for Avengers 2, and it will be glorious. So would I. I'd love to see a Hulkbuster armor at some point. Even if it's just in the background in IM3, or something.
For some reason, by the movie's logic, the frog is propelled for about 300 feet.do you know what happens when a toad is struck by lightning?

I might be the only person on the planet who actually liked that joke. The delivery was terrible, but the joke itself is so wonderfully bad.do you know what happens when a toad is struck by lightning?
The entire comic movie industry owes Singer for what he achieved with X1. That's not to say it's aged well, but that's only because there was nothing like it before it's release.

Why does everyone forget it was blade that started the revival of the comic movies?

I guess I am. Most people seem to pick the Doc Ock train fight, which I didn't take issue with outside obvious CG shots. The Aunt May scene to me was just beating the "BE A HERO!" stuff in my head that I just groan at every viewing.

Because Blade made $70M while X-Men made $160M.
As a team comic book movie, yes. Also that director for Blade and Tim Burton for Batman.
Taking the topic to the MCU thread. ASSEMBLE!: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=37668574#post37668574I'm really not seeing it. I'm open to see what you have in mind though. Maybe you could propose it in the MCU thread. I really think the entire idea is terrible to the core.![]()

Because it wasn't that comic booky. Blade feels like something that could have been created on its own, without being based off a comic.
It wasn't until X-Men and Spider-Man that people went "oh, so superheroes can be done".

Hahaha
I wonder how many children looked that word up.

Not shitting on it, it's just hard to watch these days. It really shows how far the production values have come since Singer started this wave of modern comic book movies off.
X-Men is still watchable to me, except for Magneto's God-awful helmet.

Magneto: Nazi Hunter was a good movie, though there was too much non-Magneto.
And it's not like Civil War is the alpha and the omega of Avengers stories where the team is at odds with the government. The scope of CW is not doable in the current state of the MCU anyway.I'm really not seeing it. I'm open to see what you have in mind though. Maybe you could propose it in the MCU thread. I caught it on USA this weekend and yeah...not really that good. Actually it was only the CG that was horrendous. Still stuns me just how much better X2 was and what a colossal piece of shit X3 turned out to be.X-Men is still watchable to me, except for Magneto's God-awful helmet.
Magneto and Xavier's dialog at the Capital building was awesome. The movies should have always been about them. Nothing was wasted in the dialog or the performances in that scene.
I'm still waiting for my dream X-Men movie. With the proper Claremont-Byrne lineup. I'll probably never get it.
With that sexy brown and yellow Wolverine costume.

Yes! And a proper Colossus fastball special.
God, yes. Not this "oh, look! Wolvie is on a wire flying towards some lights that they say are a sentinel." Ugh. That was so horrible on screen. Thanks, Brett Ratner.
"Mutants detected."
Last Stand and Origins Wolverine made me lose interest in anything X-Men without Fassbender. I was kinda hyped for Wolverine 2 but Aronofsky jumped ship so I'm not entirely convinced it'll be something I want to see even though the setting seems to be interesting.
Deadpool movie can die in a fire after what they've done to him in Origins. Just a big wtf.
