T2, Predator, and Die Hard are all tied at #1 for me.

Predator as far as i am concerned is more of a horror/suspense/action film but i guess you could make a case for it...

Terminator 2 is one of the best action movies. But THE best?

That title belongs to Die Hard. Coincidently, it is also the best Xmas film.

What a coincidence. Almost all of the Hollywood stuff being mentioned over and over in this thread (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Aliens, Terminator 2) is exactly the same way!

There is little CGI in T2? Not that it isn't good. But as good as these films are, and they are good, they lacks the amazing choreography and utterly crazy stunts of the Asian classics. Like Hard Boiled's amazing one take that last minutes. Or that three storey fall in The Raid, a flick made for a mere 1 million but so damn good.

since there's talks of Hard Boiled, lets not forget A Better Tomorrow 1 & 2. Let's try to forget about Part 3. As flawed and ridiculous of the continuous plot of Part 1 & 2 were, there's no denying these movies kept setting the action benchmark and build up to Hard Boiled.
