I think a Hulk movie with Leader would be interesting. We've had two-ish movies of Hulk duking it out with Gamma-radiated massive creatures. Why not have an enemy that really challenges Banner inside Hulk instead of just a one-on-one physical confrontation? You could also have Hawkeye or Widow show up for some support. These movies don't need to be made in vacuums anymore.

I believe it when I sees.

But I did see the Avengers and the best scenes he had involved Tony Stark. I just think he works best as a support character. And you're giving me reasons as to why he's an interesting person, not why he'd be interesting to watch. I can't imagine a movie where he walks around helping people being all that entertaining.

Well, it was entertaining enough to build a successful show for 5 seasons. I think an excellent movie could be made with Banner trying to solve someone else's dilemma. Much like The Avengers, he isn't trying to cure himself anymore, just trying to hold on to get a job done.

I do think there should be a strong character for him to play off of. Not Betty Ross moon eyeing him for 2 hours.

Yeah, She-Hulk is probably never going to happen. :lol

If they add She Hulk, we need to get this then:

And if we are lucky and get Hercules in a Thor movie as well as She Hulk, we can get this:

I also think a Planet Hulk film has the potential to be amazing. Sakaar is a planet that can actually contend with the Hulk rather than the cannon fodder that Earth usually offers up.

I don't think this would be too bad an idea; however, if they went this route, I'd want them to first have a darker, hulk-solo movie where he gets pushed to the point where he loses control. I'd love a movie where we witness the downfall of a hero as the resolution.

But in all honesty, as much as I'd like a planet hulk Ruffalo-starring movie, it doesn't seem like it'd really work.

Imagine a Hulk film where Banner succeeds in creating either Professor Hulk or the Grey (Mr. Fixit) Hulk, at the same time that the Leader starts doing his thing. Then by the end of the film, Hulk transfers back to Savage Hulk (or Marvel's semi-Savage Hulk) to take down the Leader. Sounds like a good pitch to me.

We also need to see the emergence of intelligent hulk if PH is ever to be a possibility. Can't have a PH movie where he hardly talks.

This movie (and thread) made me order Avengers comics, going to start with Ultimates.
Feels good going back into comics again!

I think Hulk going savage as was the case on the helicarrier and him turning on the Avengers leaving a lot of collateral damage in his wake would be a good precedent. It would also be a fight that I would love to see.

But in all honesty, as much as I'd like a planet hulk Ruffalo-starring movie, it doesn't seem like it'd really work.

That's the thing though. In PH, Banner rarely makes an appearance. Sakaar is that dangerous that Banner NEEDS to be Hulk. I'm okay with this.

We also need to see the emergence of intelligent hulk if PH is ever to be a possibility. Can't have a PH movie where he hardly talks.

This shouldn't be a problem since both Banner and Hulk saw the whole being shot into space thing as a betrayal. An emergence of personalities or rather an agreement between the two would be enough to see the rise of an intelligent/talking Hulk.

I don't care what anyone thinks of Avengers if it ends up getting people back into comics. Or better yet, into comics for the first time. :D

The best thing for a Hulk movie is to introduce She Hulk since they want him to be a mainstay on team. And she would give us a break from Hulk smash.

Plus, Marvel already has one of Whedon's favorites on call for She Hulk's voice in Hulks Agent of Smash. Eliza Dushku.

No. No. FUCK NO. Not even a cameo for that hack.

Apologies. For some reason I remembered you saying you don't watch animated movies and assumed Incredibles fell under that list.

Oh. I really don't watch barely anything animated. Just not my thing. But a select few titles have done it for me. Mostly Bird's stuff, a few other Pixar titles, and a few 80's/90's Disney ones.

Hulk putching Thor
still tickles me every time I think about it.

And now you tickled me!

Just came home from seeing this, finally. And holy shit, I haven't been this happy after movie since Star Trek. On my way home I felt like a child again.

Great crowd too, laughed appropriately and people actually started cheering and clapping when Hulk did his thing. I usually hate that kind of stuff, but damn if it didn't feel good this time.

Interview with Clark Gregg at AICN.

Quint: Now speaking of Jeremy and Kevin and those guys, Joss mentioned I believe in his recent AMA on Reddit that the order for Coulson’s demise came down from Marvel and didn’t come from him, which I think is another thing that’s getting a lot of the conspiracy theory fanboys like me all in a thither. So, I guess my question to you is will Vision just be your regular name or will it be an acronym like S.H.E.I.L.D.?

Clark Gregg: (Laughs) I have no idea. I love all of those theories. To me I just enjoy it so much that these guys have a Tumblr thing where they’ve got all of these pictures of people like writing “#CoulsonLives, “Coulson Lives” in sand… someone painted it on a bridge, another person arranged library books.

I just love all of that stuff, but you know I think I really am trying to kind of… And I never know what Marvel is going to do, but I have to kind of feel like I’m trying to do my own business with “I probably won’t get to play this guy again.” I love it, who knows? Who knows what the fans can make happen, you know what I mean? That would be hilarious to me if the fans somehow managed… It would be the fans who brought Coulson back to life, but I don’t think there’s any plans. They’ve got enough superheroes to now bring in to take his place, you know? I think people would rather see Wasp than me come back.

Quint: I don’t know about that, but I think that’s why a lot of people are grabbing on to these Vision rumors and they are grasping at straws admittedly like “Wanda was a cellist in one of the books, so maybe that’s the in” or all of that stuff.

Clark Gregg: Scarlet Witch?

Quint: Yeah. I don’t know, I think it could be done well…

Clark Gregg: If they can come up with a scenario where it isn’t lame, I’m sure they will be open to it. They would have to kind of field that kind of swell from the fans and they’d have to come up with a scenario where it didn’t undercut what happened in THE AVENGERS and it ended up being another moment in a theater that was really thrilling.

Quint: Are you contracted for more movies should they decide to go that way or would they have to do a new deal with you?

Clark Gregg: Um, I don’t know. I never know. I have to go back and look. There were so many movies at first and then some counted and others didn’t. I don’t know. That’s a good question. I’ve got to call my lawyer!

I’m not worried about it. Do you know what I mean? If it comes up, I’ll call them, but I have a feeling… I’m just trying to do my own grieving.

"I lost my one good eye."

Search your feelings. You know it to be true.

I liked Coulson as the straight-edge, humorous minor character that appears in most of the MCU films --- but as the guy who's death launchpads The Avengers finally teaming up? LOL

I don't remember anyone loathing Coulson, I always liked him as have my friends since he's what ties the movies together in their layman perspective of the stories. Especially in IM2 where he's heading to New Mexico.

I don't get the hate if there ever was any, tbh..

I always thought Son of Coul was awesome. Shame to see him go out like that.

As for Planet Hulk, you realize the budget on that film would end up being insane? Not to mention who's he going to fight in the arena? They can't use Silver Surfer because Fox holds those rights. Beta Ray Bill was in the animated film and he'd look weird as shit in a live-action movie. Planet Hulk will never happen beyond the animated film we got.

That bit seemed like it was more directed with Tony and Steve and it affected Tony a lot more. Bruce never knew him not to mention Thor was not even on the ship for Fury's card push.

Phil Coulson, way more effective than IM1 cave scientist, you know?

Hope IM3 brings it on home with Stark visiting the cemetery for the both of them
with Riggs visiting his late wife in the background.

Yeah, it was more for uniting Tony and Steve. Widow and Hawkeye already had their motivation. Thor was already going to be up his brother's ass anyway.

Yeah, I was genuinely surprised when they killed Coulson. I always liked him, although not enough for his death to really mean a whole lot, but it was still kind of shocking.

The best option for hulk would be to costar or support the heroes in the upcoming films.

I would love to see the next Thor or Ironman end up with Ruffalo as an assist.

The internet says that ""The Avengers" is an American sentai show."

Wich means Scarlet is the pink ranger and Hulk is .....the giant robot.

Funny how Coulson went from being loathed to loved.

I never got the loathing for the guy, to be honest. He was this quirky, persistent guy that seemed to be annoying Tony in IM, but you kinda had a feeling up until he reveals that he's with S.H.I.E.L.D. that he was going to be important. He definitely became a favorite for me after Thor as well as his one-shots.

The way he died, definite shock to me and my friends.

Hopefully we find out about the cellist in Portland.
