Jabba's Palace and Skiff are from the original trilogy; the other sets are from Clone Wars and The Old Republic.
OK, that makes sense. Still seems like they're running out of exciting vehicles to make into sets.

Set 7869 is probably the cheapest way to get Rex, aside from just Bricklink'ing him.
Only working on this for like an hour a week, but it is slowly evolving. It started as a regular bar with a stage for a band, but it is slowly morphing into a coffee bar for acoustic night or poetry readings. Think I can add more little details with that.
Trying some weird stuff with LDD. It is neat having unlimited bricks, but really, REALLY hard to get the chains to do what I want in the program. Was going to use string parts for ropes but could not find them.
Looking good so far. You might want to turn the brick highlights in the LDD on though, just so you can keep track of the stability of your building.
what are you using for the curves around the door? Looks really flush. Is it a normal curved brick and then a slope to blend into the wall? Can't see the seam which is confusing me.
you going to share the LDD when you're done?
looks like a small 1x1 sloped tile, next to a 2x1 tile followed by a normal arch
Ok, quick question. Which set will be going OOP next?
Grand Emporium
Pet Shop
Tower Bridge
VW Bus
Imperial Shuttle
Would like to get a big purchase out of the way.![]()
I've been reading this topic since I purchased the Imperial Flagship, of which I swore it would be my only Lego purchase. I just wanted to say that it's your fault that in the last two months I purchased a Volkswagen camper van, a Space Shuttle and an Imperial Shuttle, am € 390 poorer and still can't hate you for it.
Pics, because my post is even more meaningless without them:

And the one that would have stood alone:

The shuttle has yet to arrive, because Lego couldn't fulfill TC-14 demand, or something like that.

Edit: I'm sorry for the poor quality, my phone doesn't like to take pictures in the dark.
THANK YOU! Was looking for an option like that as I kept going. I am always checking what I am connecting to as I lay bricks down, since it adds a highlight when you are about to connect stuff. But seeing an outline all the time is a godsend. Had no idea to look for that. Thank you.
The outlines show a bit more how I did it. It seems to work, but need to actually build a piece of it with actual bricks to test it.

Don't have time to find the bricklink pics of the pieces used, but if you click the pics for original sized ones and zoom in you can tell. It is only a slight change to the Fire Brigade brick texture, with the end being a curved piece going around behind it. I then used a 1x1 piece with inlaid stud with on stud sticking out to connect to the bottom of the curved piece.
I know the wall is unstable at the front for now, but once the pieces across the top get connected above the door it should stabilize. Basically only as stable as the front of the Fire Brigade second floor wall.
Had the sidewalk clear at first but started to think of tables and whatnot. I am still on the fence. I don't want to push the wall back though because then it would not line up with other modulars.Looking good, I'd personally push back the building a bit to give it some more sidewalk, I can imagine it may look a little odd having clear sidewalks on official mods to have a blocked one. Just my opinion though.
I'd drop the little lamps on those chain things, you already have street lights and the 2 lights in the entrance, they also seem a bit oversized.
orange trans orbs then definitely.
they might be patio heaters? In which case maybe remove the entrance lamps to avoid confusion? Or redesign them.
Brainstorming interior details now. Trying to figure out a simple yet neat espresso machine to build for the coffee bar.
Unfortunately, changing the color scheme is not an option. My MOC is Orthanc, so all black. I'm absolutely thrilled with how it turned out in LDD, so I'm dying to actually order the pieces and build it. I may just settle for the steep price because a lot of the other pieces are actually quite cheap, so that will somewhat offset the high cost of the rare pieces. It will eventually look like shit. Maybe consider changing th color scheme.
Market Street is a retired modular set, too, right? The blue building.
Dropping the front cheese slopes for sidewalk access is a good idea. I do like the ones on the sides.
As for the lamps over the tables, perhaps dropping them down or making them space heaters could be neat. Or perhaps into plants. But looking at it, the lamp on the chain post next to the tall lamp post is overkill. The lights near the door will most likely stay.
The spacing for the pegs and sidewalk do match modular guideline. Was sure to keep that. Brainstorming interior details now. Trying to figure out a simple yet neat espresso machine to build for the coffee bar.
I posted a MOC x-wing design a few weeks ago. The pieces from bricklink arrived a while back and I wanted to post the pics of my completed x-wing. I made many changes to the design while building it. When designing in LDD you don't exactly get a feel for the stability in some areas.

That stand is just temporary for the pictures only. I was debating whether or not to build an actual stand. Maybe one day.
It has been the case with all past UCS sets so I say you can hope to at the very least make back your investment.Ok guys, advice time.
They are selling the imperial shuttle locally for 200 instead of 260.
Personally I'm not too fussed about the model, but I'm thinking I can sell it in a year or two for a healthy profit...
Am I correct in that assumption?

Ok, the box has a minimal rip on the side.
And how much would building it but keeping all the origimal wrapping and parts diminish its price?
just came back from our local lego store with this bad boy:
![]()
on the counter they asked for my vip card but since i dont have one yet it was possible to do it right in the store.
the clerk forgot my hulk minifig, good thing i remembered just when i went outside.
so i went back and got my lil hulk.
the mini tie fighter was from my order on may 5th, it came in the mail today.
i also wanted to take a look at the lotr sets but they didnt had them instore, also no sign of the marvel sets.
althought they seem to be available on amazon.de.
but it is better this way since my lego limit of this month is reached![]()
How's the Shuttle Expedition set? I'm digging the price-to-pieces ratio and it looks like a good build.
but im scared that his will lead to the dark path (aka i want all minimodules...)The mini modular is so worth it. I know people say it's just cheap little pieces but that thing looks like ART you can decorate your home with. Good pick up!
but im scared that his will lead to the dark path (aka i want all minimodules...)
they are so expensive...
well they do look very awesome.I've walked that "dark path", and its awesome... You come out the other side of it with some of the best lego sets on the market. So be not afraid, and walk that path with your head held high.
