I wasn't annoyed about launch day issues as they were to be expected, but this is ridiculous.

What issues are these? I am level 53 and had smooth sailing for the past few days.

I am very impressed how the instant joining of friendlist games works. Remarkable. The ability to switch acts, join and play so rapidly is unprecendented.

I loved running around with 150+% MF through normal/nightmare but in hell, I found it quite impossible unfortunately :/ I only switched to the MF-stuff whenever I was one hit away from killing champions/bosses or opening special treasure chests!

I guess there's no way to quickly change gear builds?

This game seems ... very uninspired? Almost like Blizzard saw 'we want Diablo 3' everywhere and so copy and paste Diablo 2 into the WoW engine.

... they haven't really innovated the formula, merely just refine it down to a more casual level.

Starcraft 2 was roughly the same, however the extensive online mod support opened up a whole new world for that game. Diablo 3 however lacks that extra ... something.

However even the scraps from Blizzard are good to consume ... I just expected a 3 course meal.

Unfortunately not... with the years of practice in Diablo 2, I've learned how to quickly switch gear almost instantaneously :lol But yeah, put the MF gear in the bottom right corner or something so that you don't accidentally sell them or something XD

Can't be more than 5-10 dollars, unless they're ridiculously rare. There's so many legendaries at the AH already and if you post up you can find some nice deals. I already have two legendary weapons for my Monk... I just reached Act 3 on my first playthrough of normal. :/

Very good, perfect rare (yellow) will sell for far more. There is already rare better than legendary at lv60. 1000-1200 dps on the weapon insane !

Hey guys, I, have some rares I can trade. Interested in green/red gems, DH gear whatever. Here is a screenshot of what I have in my stash. If interested in specs my bt is plbelanger#1923 in game now

Diablo 3 is a highly regulated single player game that has an always online DRM to prevent you from doing things that Blizzard don't want you to.

Diablo 3 wouldn't work as an offline game. Blizzard needs online connectivity to allow patching and hotfixing, to let players trade and play multiplayer, etc. By having servers run the games, progress is easily tracked, and it can be made sure that items are legitimately obtained.

If Diablo had a offline mode, what would prevent someone from hacking their client, then flooding the market with thousands of >2000 dps weapons, effing up the economy in the process?

There are so many arguments in favor of always-online, and so few against, that it baffles me people keep bringing it up. If you were Blizzard, you would have made the decisions that they did as far as this issue goes.

You would just not allow anything from an offline character interact with the online community. You can never take them online, you can never use stuff they get in the auction house etc.

Yep. It's kinda scary thinking about it lol. We're just mentioning items lol.
And this is the point where I just lay back, drink my soda and praise the lord that it's their job and not mine :D! I don't have to go through their headaches!

I have a 3 bank tabs full of rares, I can never bother logging out looking at prices on ah and selling them, 10 at a time makes things worse if nothing gets sold, I have like 500 essences, probs gonna sell them

It's sunday so it's not like I WANTED TO PLAY. Geez, thanks Blizzvision.

How long did it take everyone to run through on Normal? Haven't had as much time as I'd like to play, but I'm currently sitting at 17 hours 16 minutes at the beginning of Act III. Playing through Normal solo-only. Feels like I'm taking so much longer than the average person.

I played with a friend and it took us 20h 35mins.

It seems to take everyone between 13-19 hours :3 You're just taking your time, that's a good thing!

But you've allowed them a local copy of the loot/ai/scripting server. There's thousands of nerds salivating over the thought of getting to disassemble that and go over the code with a fine toothed comb.

Why wouldn't it? Can they not release patches without it being always online? And a LOT of games offer online play without always requiring you to be online as well. And exactly - the main reason for the always online is to stop people from cheating; no two ways about it.

Yea I know, is that it?

Have people on GAf play online games before?

Easy to say when you can actually play.
Just because it's an online game doesn't mean I should accept and expect not being able to play for 4 hours on a Sunday.

The problem is giving the code to people to play offline is giving hackers all they need to break whatever safeguards they put in place.

damn, should have used darkd3 from the beginning. It's worth it just for the sharpness alone, can't believe blizzard thought the vaseline covered game looked better than this...

Oh and being able tone down the rainbows is a nice bonus. Game looks gorgeous in balanced mode :)

I think HArdcore one is the best. It looks more like gothic diablo now than high fantasy. I love IT

Diffrence is spectacular sometimes:

What i find weird is that Dark3D actually improves texture quality. Or should I say it removes blurr filter.

Actually I think it's more like 20 to 30 hours...
How is 30 hours even possible? You could literally sit there and listen to every dialog, read every book, go into every dungeon, pick up every loot including the white stuff, be AFK for 2 hours and still not reach 30 hours :lol

Anyone know why i cannot post or create a thread on Blizzard D3 forums, when i am on the create thread icon i get: the game license has expired or been canceled.

I've upgraded my blacksmith to 9 (I have more than enough money to get it to 10) but I'm wondering if it's worth it... that's why I was asking :/ I've bought all stash tabs, it's definitely worth it, especially if you're like me and want full MF gear, full EXP gear, full gold find gear in your stash :3

I think you might have to get level 10 before you start getting plan drops. Mf'd for a while not finding any and then I upgraded him and they started dropping.

Interesting, thanks!

Logged in on my US account for the first time and saw 98 friend invites... what the fuck, guys :lol

Still trying to figure out how effective MF is. Always stayed above 50% MF with my Barb until lvl 33 and have yet to get a plan/ set/ legend item. So far the biggest difference I've seen with MF active and not has been the number of blues and yellows.

I see you didn't play Diablo2 at all.

I finished last night at 19 hours and 45 minutes, and I didn't feel like I was going especially slow. Especially towards the end, I stopped checking every corner and just sped through it. So it ended up taking longer than I expected, reading other peoples' times.

Honestly at level 60 the nephalim valor buff is enough to get you decent drops consistantly. My mf gear is only for killing treasure goblins with my brother and very specific bosses that are easy to get to.
