Dishonored E3 Gameplay Walkthrough

This looks pretty fantastic. The environments seem a little unfinished and sparse but I love what I am seeing with the gameplay.

This gameplay video has made this a must buy for me. It looks so utterly fun and sandboxy. All the trouble I'll be able to get into is wonderful.

They made the mistake of outsourcing those boss battles to another studio, that's why it was so shitty. The boss fight in Missing Link was classic Deus Ex though, and it was so much better.

I really need to play through that. (own it on steam.)

yeah, from the trailer from a few days ago i had the impression that some things weren't quite in their finished state yet... but maybe it's part of the artstyle.

Gameplay looks amazingly fun though.

This really does look quite promising. Also what's Arx Fatalis? I guess what I'm asking is how does it play? I've never heard of it before.

Do so as soon as you can. I just recently completed it after putting it off for months and it was mind blowing. I'm even thinking of creating a LTTP thread for it after all this E3 stuff dies down in a few days.

I've had a good feeling about this game ever since it was released. I think it has a chance of being my GotY.

I just hope the mouse aim on PC isn't laggy.

Arx Fatalis is a first person Dungeon Crawling WRPG. One of the best games of its kind. A spiritual successor to Ultima Underworld.

Their first game (I think). It was kinda like Ultima Underworld, but more "modern" if that makes sense.

Looks great, can't wait. Hope there are some stronger enemies around though, with a similar skill set as the player, cause the player seems pretty overpowered.

Holy shit that looks AMAZING! I am really getting a Bioshock feel, which is good. I really hope they will nail it.

Game looks amazing unlike the PR up to this point :)

It will probably bomb :(

I'll get to play it :)

<3

The you can play it without killing anyone bit probably refers to the non lethal weapons rather than the ability to ghost it though...

The aesthetic mash-up of Half-Life 2 and BioShock Infinite is appealing, though it feels less than fresh. Gameplay looks up to snuff, though I want to see more of the power combinations they referenced in action.

Ok, this was what I wanted. Now more, more!

Also, they need to do something about that FOV fast. I predict tons of induced vomiting if not.

Holy crap at some of the gameplay possibilities they talked about. Those sound fantastic. Possession seems like it opens up a ton of stuff.

I don't get it Levin, look how great teleportation works in Dishonored.

Wait, what am I saying, better yet to leave Bioshock like this, for me to use it here.

Didnt you guys read the other thread? this game is a confirmed piece of shit. There's no dx11, normal mapping, clothing shadows, the ground is too flat.

This game looks awesome. And being directed by Harvey Smith, the lead designer of the original Deus Ex. So good.
That's incorrect. Lead designer (or at least creative director) of Deus Ex was Warren Spector. Harvey Smith played director in the much hated sequel, but at least he's admitted "they fucked it up with IW" and seems to be hitting all the right notes with Dishonored.

Spector was creative director, Smith was Lead Designer though

I hope we see an extended preview... something at least, say, 20-30 minutes in length.

Ok I never really paid much attention to this game until now. That short video sold me. I instantly think of Bioshock (hell I swear there are some sounds from Bioshock in this game where item acquisition is concerned) and Assassin's Creed. The combination of the two is SEX.

So yeah, I definitely want this now.
