Dishonored E3 Gameplay Walkthrough

That gametrailers vid looks pretty sweet - only four months left. I was expecting this game to be released November-December.

i'm okay with this :)

hoping for modding tools though... based off of what we've seen and how fucking awesome this game is and how awesome the devs are.. I'm sure we'll get mod tools :)

and if we get mod tools, we'll definitely see a multiplayer mode / tons of new content

eat that skyrim

seriously, I have officially become the number one dishonored fan boy

cannot fucking wait for this :)

The Engine is UE3 so I really don't think you will get a mod tools or any mods if all here.

Looks neat. I didn't see anything in the video that showed limitations to keep the game from being a cakewalk though. I'm sure there's something.

Gametrailers just posted a new gameplay walkthrough

The game looks great
Nice, had missed this video. I'm loving how Raf emphasizes the simulation part of the game, I get the feeling this is one of those games I play a dozen times to try out weird ways to exploit the AI and stuff.

Aaand I think my first playthrough I'm gonna try killing all the targets by possessing them and jumping off rooftops.

Making OT and remaining not spoiled will be hard....

Here is your OT:

Looks cool, Morgan is so annoying to listen to though. She kept cutting them off and injecting herself into the representation of the game.

Same boat. Dishonored > Watch Dogs >>>>> AC3. That's about it for me so far. (come on Thief!)

Agreed. But that's because I don't trust Watch Dogs at all, it's gonna be another AC1 in the making. But the concept alone puts it above AC3 for me.

And also because of the pedigree behind the developer of Dishonored.

I was hesitant about this game because of Harvey Smith, but it looks like he's learned from the Deus Ex: Invisible War debacle. I'm going to get this.
Am I the only one who thinks this setting evokes China Mieville's New Crobuzon?
That's a good comparison, and both settings get inspiration from Victorian London. Dishonored seems much lighter on the fantasy/non-human stuff, though.

I'm worried about how overpowered you are here though. It seems like it will make everything (stealth, kills) too easy. Like that teleport move, it recharges FAST

day one though. Looks like GOTY

It also seems like if you are seen you can be in trouble but its good they give you several options.

It bothered me when she cut them off as they were explaining the various inspirations behind the game, especially since it was a response to a question posed to them. I find it hard to believe that time was so precious such that they couldn't be afforded a further ten seconds.

He possessed a fish as one way to get into the target building and went in through a sewer pipe.

Game of the year.

Wait until you see a rat bomb.

Summon rat swarm -> sticky grenade rat -> bend time -> possess rat -> walk rat to guard -> dispossess. Nothing but net.

Haha it sounds so cruel yet amazing. Hopefully we can do that to humans too, make them glorified suicide bombers on their guard friends.

Don't see why you can't. One of the devs told a story - a guard was shooting at them, so they froze time with the bullet still in the air, possessed the guard, walked in front of the bullet, dispossessed, unfroze time, and the bullet killed him.

If anybody missed the presentation, you can still watch it on the stream, you just need to put the stream at 4:19:00.

The presentation starts exactly like the gametrailers one but goes on for way longer.

For a game that seems to put a lot of emphasis on stealth, playing the game as an action game seems like a lot of fun. The abilities are awesome.

He fucking possessed that walker at one point, that was amazing.

Thanks!

Dishonored is undoubtedly winner of E3 for me.

And by the way, I don't wanna be mean, but Raph's accent reminds me of Tommy Wisseau's in The Room. By half the interview, I was kinda expecting him to say "Oh, hi Harvey!".

I was really looking forward to The Crossing, and I got bummed out when I found out it wasn't happening. I've been so psyched for this since hearing of it, and it's looking fantastic.
