Hope there is another space minifig.
Alright, let's get this party started

Assuming the cases are around the same size (60 packs), should contain 4 full sets with some extras. Right?
I'm an American (in california) Looking for 2 or 3 others in NA to split a case with. I'd prefer other GAFers
I think we should start planning now.

Sweet collection BomberMouse!
Makes me want to make a non riot/crowd scene. Just casually line up all the mini figs I have for one glorious group shot.
Think I will do that now, then finish the first floor on the Cafe MOC.
Yes, please! I don't really do the minifig thing, but it's cool to see the collection some of you guys have amassed!
Is the LEGO Store set you get during a LEGO Store Grand Opening limited to 1 per customer or 1 per $35 spent?

Be prepared for an onslaught of classic 80s Space figures then.![]()

Ooops, for some reason I was thinking the sets were 12 figs. But yeah, they are 16.
I'm glad we have a lot of interestKeep your eyes on this thread, when we get a little closer to release we'll figure it out. I hope they show off the figs at Comic-Con
During the Wisconsin opening it was one set per "family" when you spent $35 dollars.
I've always had a fascination with haunted houses...I keep imagining how I'm going to mod this set and display it every Halloween.
I think it should have been less green and darker, and there definitely should be more interesting things on the exterior, but overall it looks like a great design.
Let's see how it holds up when compared to some awesome looking haunted houses:
Sand Blue
Awwwwwww yeah, the original Space LEGO lunar baseplates!

I knew that last pic would trigger some nostalgia overload for us older GAFfers.
Also, original Blacktron minifigs are the coolest space minifigs ever. I just love the design on the body, and the opaque visors.

jointly ordering a complete Box of Series 8 Minifigs
So the idea is to order a complete box of 60 Minifigs for Series 8, they are then cheaper and one doesn't have to feel out the bags.
Now from all the Information we have, one gets 3 complete sets from a box and a few random extras.
So I am looking for 2 fellow LEGOgaf Members who would like to share in the endeavor.
I would order the complete box, sort out the 3 complete sets and we can decide what to do with the extras later (ie distribute them randomly among us or something like that)
We divide the cost of the order by three and well the other two have to additionally pay the shipping from me to them.
I am located in Germany, so you can roughly estimate how much the postage will cost you.
Residents of germany will inadvertently pay less postage than australians...
A new sealed box from Bircklink usually goes for arround 100-120€ in EU.
If many people are interested we might be able to split the whole thing up into regional joint order groups of three.
I would keep this post updated with people who are interested. so please indicate your location for possible grouping.

Add me to the list of people who will pitch in for a case. EVIL PIRATE. IT'S LIKE A SOGGY DREAM COME TRUE!!
whats your location?
I'm assuming this is no, but do any Lego sets have little picket signs? I wanted to do something involving a strike.
i love it too, totally going to do that
is the ocean king in s7 just balancing on the end of the brick because his relative depth?
Yeah he is pretty sturdy though, I had to do a few tricks for some of them to get them to fit in, like the lizardman, his tail is quite long so I have a 2x3 plate on top of the inverted slope so he'll fit, even then I had to turn the head slightly as well.
The ice skaters were blu tacked to the back as well. I really wanted to have the surfboarder/snowboarders holding their boards vertically but I just couldn't fit them in without it colliding with the glass.
For my huge display Ribba I had pretty much the same problems
But Ive been planing to break it down to the separate series for a while now.
I'll probably end up doing it the same way you have.
its gorgeous.

and some MOCs:
just ignore the crystal skullYeah I was *this* close to going with the bigger frames, but I figured individually it gives a nice separation for each series and it allows for easy expansion with future series.
I'm planning on doing more for non collectibles, Batman minifiguress ,I want to do at least 1 for indiana jones minifigs, probably 1 row in a frame dedicated to each movie (though thinking about it now I forgot crystal skull, may need to rethink that or do more than 1 frame)
One for Pirates of the Caribbean minifigs (I don't like the movies outside of the first one but the minifigs are pretty cool)
I'm thinking of expanding into star wars too, 1 row or even one frame dedicated to the main characters of each of the 3 original films.
On top of that my more immediate plan is to do my 4 ghostbusters, the keymaser, the gatekeeper, slimer and a little stay puff marshmellowman in one single frame. I'm tempted to do more TDK trilogy characters, scarecrow, raz, catwoman, gordon etc.
It also reminds me of the first Technic set I ever got as a kid, which was the desert racer. I don't think I got all the parts, though, as I probably got it used from someone.
