Regarding the Mario Tennis/Mario statue fiasco, after a couple of e-mails back and forth with Gamestop (in which I expressed my dissatisfaction, but went out of my way to be polite and courteous), they asked what systems I own and offered to send me a goody bag, which was a nice gesture (I didn't even ask for/expect any kind of compensation of any kind).

Today I received a package which has absolutely no note or return address, but I can only assume it came from them, because I have no idea who else would have sent it. It has Battlefield 3 on the 360 (a promotional copy, but it's the full game), some Mass Effect 3 N7 dog tags, and a Resistance 3 Chimera teeth necklace.

If any of you want to try your luck, I'd advise against saying "you gave somebody else something", as aside from the fact it makes you look a bit arsey, chances are they'll immediately draw a line and refuse to do the same for anybody from that point on, as they'll think I've told tons of other people that they can demand free stuff. If you want to e-mail them, simply express your dissatisfaction in a polite manner, and just hope (don't expect) that they offer you something too.

The email they sent me about not being able to send out mario was that to let them know with my next order to get free postage and something as compensation, so i'll bring it up if I order from them again soon.

I thought I might mention that those Atelier games are listed to ship "within a month", so it might be a while until you receive your alchemy goodness.

In addition, Hyperdimension Neptunia is also 15 pounds at Zavvi. NISA games sure take a while to drop in price.

The first HN had been sold out everywhere for a long time and was going for £40+ on eBay/Amazon Marketplace just a couple of weeks ago. GameSeek seem to have it in stock now too for a reasonable price, so I guess they either printed some more copies or found a forgotten shipment of them sitting in some warehouse.

Has anyone ordered a game or console from Amazon Warehouse before where it's marked as Used - Like New? Wondering whether that just means the box has been opened, how it's covered for warranty etc. My brother wants to buy a PS3 slim so if it's just a case of open box and the console's not actually been used, I think that could be a good option for him as long as it has some form of warranty.

I've ordered loads of games marked as that.

It varies greatly.

Some are great condition while others look like standard used items from somewhere like CEX. I even had one game marked as Like New that had a manual that looked like it'd been through a washing machine.

It's pot luck, but at least with Amazon you know it's easy to return.

I've ordered loads of games like this and they have always arrived as described and resealed by Amazon. I think they're generally customer returns.

Thanks, seems like it might be worth taking a chance since they have the returns policy. Do they include any sort of warranty on warehouse items?

Amazon Warehouse products have ~90 days of warranty I think (bought a monitor from them a while back). I emailed them about this and they specifically said I had a free return for any reason for those 90(?) days, but after that I'd be on my own. I wouldn't even have a manufacturer warranty as the product would be marked as 2nd hand.

A little OT but my brother wants something that is able to stream his 1080p video files from his computer wired connection is preferred to eliminate any lag. Any recommendations that is cheap or if not, where's the cheapest place to find a ps3. (he'd prefer something cheaper and not the ps3).

Ordered a copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia from Zavvi. Hope they still had copies left.

I ordered El Shaddai like over a month ago and it's starting to look like I'll never get it from them. :(

WDTV Live. Even has n-wireless.

Get a Bluray player

LG BD650 - plug in a hard drive.... playback perfectly And it also does DTS not sure if wdtv live does or not but the BD650 is about 50-60GBP :)

Germans can buy gift cards at Media Markt tomorrow and Tuesday: Buy them for 50€ with a value of 60€. Is a great deal for non-gaming related stuff like smartphones ;)

Does Zavvi send things bundled in one package if ordered at the same day, or do they ship each order in one seperate shipment?

Each component of the order ships separately. Does anyone know whether they've gone back to using cardboard boxes for packaging? Last time I made an order they shipped it in bubble wrap packaging which obviously didn't hold up very well on the plane.

/edit/ Typical.

They use padded envelopes. I'm sure they ship large items in boxes, but anything relatively DVD case-sized comes in those.

bought a game from zavvi 4 weeks ago and it came in a very thin cardboard envelope, no padding. the game was ok, the artwork booklet that came with it ... not so good :/

Well I wasn't fully serious when I made the comment but I wouldn't put it past them if enough people put orders in.

Didn't stop them last time despite the Mario deal being a featured promotion on the site.

Arghhhh to buy or not to buy. Haven't played Peace Walker yet, am I missing out on a lot by not playing it? It's on PSN, but that makes the price of the full collection more expensive than the PS3/360 version.
The Vita version is only MGS2 and MGS3. Peace Walker is not part of it.

Edit.: My bad. I am so stupid and read your post wrong.

How is Gamestop.de for preorders? I don't care about fast delivery as long as I get the item which is something I can not say for Zavvi or play.com from past experiences :(

EDIT: I'm out of Germany btw (Spain).

If you live in Germany and they're anything like Gamestop.ie if you pay for express postage you'll get the game the day before release. I've gotten games on release with normal shipping as well. No other online store can get things to me by release date.

-edit- Ah Spain, I wouldn't count on it then. Gamestop.ie ships on Wednesday for games releasing on the Friday. Gamestop.de is likely the same.

Yeah, but I don't care if I get it 1 week late. As long as it arrives I am happy.

EDIT: Tried to order it and it seems that they do not ship out of Germany... Tough luck
