After he stuffed Chael's takedowns in round 2, Silva starting taunting and landing effortless, accurate shots, and as so many times before, the fight was shortly over after that.

This isn't my first Saturday away from home. I understand the fine line between stopping a fight too early, and preventing potential damage to a fighter. Just seemed a bit early.

For the record Sonnen was not coming back.

Had the ref not stopped the fight, Chael would have just taken more punishment. Chael was curled up in the fetal position after that knee. He was done.
