Decopon lost earlier in the tournament and was put in the loser's bracket and has moved up from the bracket to grand finals. Since he is in loser's, he has to win two 3 out of 5 sets to win.

That's how double elimination tournaments work. If you lose once, you go to losers bracket. If you manage to keep winning and get to the grand finals, you have to win one set of matches to reset the bracket first (so now both you and the other guy have one loss each), and then you have to actually win.
