So, I just noticed. No Gems? What a stupid system.


I've never seen this game at high level before until right now, and damn. I like what I'm seeing. I would watch this over Marvel BS any day of the week.

You'd get bored quickly. It's this over and over and over again.

One player gets a lead, then plays really defensively.
 
Huw_Dawson posted this earlier in the thread, I'm just saving this to copy/paste every time this question is asked, it seems to come up often and this is a pretty good summation.

I see... seems pretty rough... and sorry for asking the same stupid question that was already answered. Literally haven't ever seen anyone play this game though.

Trust me, this game has a lot of issues.

1) Grey health regen
2) jabs having a super low risk, and really high reward. Especially +3/4f start jabs that are +3 on block. Yes I'm serious
3) Damage Scaling
4) Time counting during cinematics
5) throws are TOTAL ASS. The range is stupid. Making the counter to jabs total ass.
 
Wombo Combo aside this is same 'ol same 'ol. I still don't know how you fix something that is shit at a fundamental level.

Only problems I see are the jabs and the timer should slow down during long cinematics.
 
Increased timer length or a negative penalty like mechanic, to discourage complete runaway, and some of the changes they showed at the panel could make this a pretty good game.

The game isn't broken on a fundamental level. Its broken after all the cake layer shit on top of it. All the issues of this game can be fixed, its whether or not capcom wants to fix it.

I'm not saying it doesn't need any work(hell, Marvel needs work), but I like what they have done with the game and the approach. I also enjoy watching this type of play over Marvel.
