Honestly, only Infiltration and Gamerbee seemed to be playing at the top of their game. Most everyone else was pretty tired and beat, making stupid mistakes in their matches.
 
after reading about DOA5 on freestepdodge, it might not be at EVO... Rikuto a very well known member of their community and 8wayrun is putting the game on blast
 
Shoutout to Haunts, Spooky and all the people who brought us that great stream. Had very little trouble with lag and most importantly no drops during finals day.

No way in hell DoA5 will make it to Evo. Only an act of god would get some of the fighting game playerbase to jump on "Tits or Ass" after it's revamp.
Though, given that some people are starting to turn into hype after the trailers it could be possible
. As much as I want it to.

Again, scheduling of this years EVO wasn't exactly 'smooth sailing'.

Better plan next years EVO's scheduling more flexible.
 
It would be nice to see Evo go to four days next year and split their final's into two days - have AE, UMvC 3 and KOF on one day and everything else the day before. I understand it would be tough to get everyone to show up on Wed/Thr, but I think it would make the event run more efficiently, and you don't get into a situation where your audience and competitors are too tired to really care about the final event.
 
I think next year's EVO main games will be:

Mahvel
Persona
Tekken Tag 2
AE(maybe)

The rest I feel are up in the air, yes even AE. I mean shit Capcom could surprise everyone with DarkStalkers being out early next year or something, and that becomes more hype than AE. Who knows?

Exactly my point. To be honest If the 4 days is a total hindrance from your personal schedule, then don't go. 4 days will help segregate the finals, the openings, and everything else to a more flexible schedule.

I'm okay with this. The level of hype watching a gdlk Korean player vs a gdlk underdog non Korean player in SC2 is amazing,so to see that for fighting games would be fantastic.
 
AE was probably the least hype of any of the games this year, absolutely abysmal top 8. Crowd wasn't into it at all, and it was entirely 1 sided. The rest of the top 7 were not even remotely close to being up to the task.

After Daigo got his ass kicked, I fell asleep trying to watch the rest. A mix of it being 2am in the morning, and all the hype being sucked out of the remaining matches. Just make EVO be on the east coast to avoid all these time problems.

AE finals was the most anti hype thing I have ever seen. Dead crowd. Akuma play is not fun to watch. It was so one sided.

Marvel is still America's game after like 12 years. At least we got some international competition this year. Although one has to wonder what the state of Marvel would be if the Koreans jumped on the bandwagon...

Akuma play at full potential is the best character in the game, He can do whatever he wants. Infiltration was just there.

If this "shitty" game takes another game's place, it will be SFxT's slot. I think KOF is an absolute lock for next year unless the KOF community literally gets wiped out by a virus.
 
Some of you guys are nuts questioning whether AE will be on the lineup next year.

Marvel might become the main game, but AE will still be there. They aren't going to say "oh, Top 8 wasn't hype so let's not add it" despite it having the most competitors if I'm not mistaken. Pool play/Top 32 wasn't bad at all either.
 
I dont get the PersonaA hype yet, not impress with what i've seen so far.

I'd like if the new GG update made it to evo2013 lol
 
No way AE won't be the main game. It revitalized the genre, they won't drop it as the finale for quite some time.

We *always* do. Other than Marvel we've always done bad, and it'll just get more difficult as more nationalities pick the game up. I'm finding it laughable like it's some surprise the only thing we took was marvel.
