Yep in 2010. IIRC Marn won it.
I just saw it and HOLY SHIT at the 3rd and 4th rounds!

I can't believe I learned about EVO until this year.

What about Duo Lon, who the KoF community considered low tier, but was used to win Evo?
Anyway, point is, lots of games that are still good competitive games have really stupid s-tier characters. Kabal being s-tier doesn't really seperate the game from other games. If anything, having 1 or 2 really stupid characters is the rule and not the exception, though obviously this isn't ideal.
I just finished watching the UMVC3 and SSF4:AE Grand Finals.
I am salty as fuck.
Fucking Champ still managed to win after Ifrit handily beat him the first time, but then let him come back in Grand Finals, gave him a round, and then messed up for him to take it all. It really should have been Ifrit's win, so disappointed.
I think the only person that could have gave Infiltration some trouble last night was Xiao Hai. Cammy tends to give shotos a lot of problems.
Decision making is a major skill. He deserved to lose because he made bad decisions. Champ is also the better player in general, if not by a huge margin. My issue was not that Filipino Champ won but that Infrit lost. I would never argue against Filipino Champ being a dominant player even before he won EVO. What upset me was Infrit's decision-making in grand finals.
Waking up late so I did not have to watch a second of that lump of shit SFxT. Shout out's to Inf and Laugh for taking Capcoms money and car though.
They didn't win a car what are you smoking
1. Champ used his Phoenix team, which isn't his best team. This isn't vanilla, she isn't even that good in this game.
2. Champ didn't even respect him. He played with his shades on, and when Champ has his shades on he doesn't respect that person.
3. In GF when he went back to his best team, he made Infrit look like he didn't deserve to make it out of pool play.
Champ haters make me rofl. "Let him come back" ha...
just made this one but i don't know if its the one you are talking about.Where's the JaHa coooking GIF? It's gotta be up

Wait duo lon is considered low tier? How the fuck is that even possible with the move set he has.
As good as Xiao Hai was playing(I bet on him vs gamerbee, which was really close), no way anybody competes with Infiltration the way he was playing. I was awestruck the whole time. Every year I think SF4 is figured out, and every year I'm completely floored. His defense, his setups, his reactions and understanding all outclassed the other competitors cleanly.

I hope you're joking about that third point, the final set was hardly free.
I'm not sure why people were surprised Chris G was on par with champ either, did they miss CEO? Have they even been paying attention?
If people dont happen to follow TeamSp00ky/BigTwo streams, they wouldnt be exposed to ChrisG very much. The more popular FGC players are all West coast and play WNF.

His CEO play wasn't even close to how good he was in loser's finals yesterday. That shit was nuts.

Probably getting EVO confused with the SF 25th Anniversary tournies. Winner of that gets a car. They didn't win a car what are you smoking
What is wrong about the way he plays?I've seen plenty if chris g and did not rate him. He stepped it up again yesterday and was almost good enough. I have to respect his play now, if not exactly the way he goes about it.

Well put. Infiltration was on an entirely different level but based purely on matchups, Cammy definitely has the right tools to challenge Akuma. I would have loved to see Infiltration vs Xiao Hai in the grand finals.
Chris/Champ is a 5/5 matchup. Was just a matter of who eked out the win that day.Not even just against fchamp but chrisg over came a lot of his demons to get there. Beat the Modok player, beat Wong who beat him at CEO and winter brawl, beat combofiend who beat him at ect and finally beat flocke who put him in losers bracket at evo. He was playing the best marvel he has ever played but his best was just 1% under fchamps best.

FC played very well. What upset me was Infrit's decision-making. This is always what upsets me when I see players lose not because of executional errors or being overwhelmed. It's when they understand the game, are comfortable playing the game but for whatever reason decide to do one thing that to me as a spectator is not optimal and it backfires. All of this is easy to see spectating, even in real-time, and we heard commentators all day saying how the biggest stage affects all but the most experienced players.
The problem, I think, is that he didn't have a good set up to snipe her, so if DP activated, he was probably dead. This is where I'm at with it. Champ had a good chance to win, but bad decision making by Combo, Chris G, and Infrit is what got him over. I'm still made at Combo, of all people, being scared enough of Phoenix to try to run.
But Infiltration picks Gouken for bad matchups.
I would agree with this. Match between them was decided on last game, last character and last moment. We would have had a different result of that last moment was played out differently.Chris/Champ is a 5/5 matchup. Was just a matter of who eked out the win that day.

3) PLAYER 1 ADVANTAGE (p1 wins all trades)

I suspect it might be in a lot of players' best interests to force blind pick on him.And Ryu and Hakan.

Not accurate. The priority system is still awful, but it doesn't automatically assign priority to 1p, it chooses one then alternates every frame.
-quote from THTBConfirming it's real.
Player 1 priority exists.
I guess noone read my trip to netherealm thread.
P1/P2 is unfixable. Confirmed back in February before game was released.
And player 1 has been winning trades in MK games for 10 years. I'm sure @m2dave remembers my studys on trades during MKA when i was finding frame data for him.
*goes back to being a ghost for another 10 years*
Counter-picking has been a thing for a long time. Just in AE, Floe and Kindevu do it all the time. It's just a part of the game.
Just finished watching everything - Amazing.
Is Akuma's super a little broken or is Infiltration just amazing at using it.
It seems you can use it after block stun.
And Akuma's Ultra does insane dmg.
Oh, I don't have a problem with it. It's just that you're probably better off playing mindgames with him since the blind pick forces him to make a guess in the dark.Counter-picking has been a thing for a long time. Just in AE, Floe and Kindevu do it all the time. It's just a part of the game.

Errrrr I meant Canada.

I repeat. I hate PSN!
kadey worked me :C
Dhalsim is so annoying@!
I was playing SF4 and I looked to my right and saw this happening. I think I lost the match due to laughing.
