VvV dropped their fighting game division (Reo, CD Jr, RTD and Romance).
It's sounds like they were upset that the fighters didn't wear the VvV t-shirts and do interviews. Makes sense to be upset about that.

vVv's owner/manager is the guy that got on a live show and popped off about how terrible the FGC is, right? Jerry something?

I'm really perplexed at the KoF discussion.
Those grand finals were incredible...easily my favorite part of EVO, and I don't even play KoF.
I expect more people to pick up the game (including me) based on what I saw; the stream numbers were ridiculous.
They aren't gonna move it to another day lol

No AE team tourneys this year
So many great moments like Kazunoko making everyone free, proceeded by Kindevu bringing bitter salt to HeadKrones with his own medicine.
Sigh. First, it's not an issue of priority - it doesn't take a lot of commitment to figure this stuff out. Second, when a good player learns a character, that player learns everything about the character, even the stuff that is considered useless.
I think folks are saying is that the game has some flaws in it. FGC is treating this game like it's the greatest KOF when it isn't (98UM is best KOF- 02UM folks have an argument)
Game is hype with a good community and interesting players, and deserves the reception it got at EVO. I'm glad it did well, I just don't really want to play the game anymore (KOF got kneed by an angry black man)
It is absolutely an issue of priority. Fatalities can't even be performed until the game is over, which makes them completely non-essential to competitive play. Even "useless" moves can be an option from time to time, and it helps to know their commands anyway so that players know what to avoid using or unintentionally throwing out.Sigh. Chris G, Justin Wong and evidently the Kenshi player were good players and they didn't know the fatalities. So the second part is wrong or to be more diplomatic no one learns everything about their character they learn what they feel increases their likelihood of winning.
In regards to the first part. I can pop that out anytime I want to look it up so why I should do that instead of practicing for the various scenarios that would occur in game?
You two make it sound like you have to spend time in training mode to know a fatality input or something. Ridiculous. It is absolutely an issue of priority. And you're criticizing players for not knowing something that has absolutely no bearing on whether or not they win or lose a match, which is quite literally one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. You two make it sound like you have to spend time in training mode to know a fatality input or something. I agree, why not just have the tekken, injustice etc. on a separate day. It killed the hype watching that Snoop Dogg thing right before Marvel.

I don't care if they don't know the inputs. I thought it was clear that the tone of my posts has been more one of surprise at them having to look the inputs up than them being inferior players for having to do so. At the very least, they shouldn't waste everyone's time by looking that crap up. The shock comes at them apparently wanting to do fatalities yet not knowing the inputs ahead of time. You should come to the game prepared for whatever you want to do. It's not training mode. And you're criticizing players for not knowing something that has absolutely no bearing on whether or not they win or lose a match, which is quite literally one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

Having to look up the move is pretty bad. I can't imagine needing to look up the input for any character I play in any fighting game.
When I played UMK3 as a kid, I knew the input for every single fatality, babality, and animality for every single character in the game. I find it hard not to learn these things while playing normally. It puzzles my mind.

Jerith left VvV to join Riot Games. I think VvV will probably focus on that.
