So...how about this past week's content? Managed to catch up on them and I just died during NBA Live '95 portion. Vinny just casually schooling Jeff even though he was pretty much scoring at will. The several Tetris Battle Gaiden close calls were intense too.

Still have Flight Club from the week before to go.

Like most people here I went down the number station googling road and now Im a little freaked out.

It must have been messed up living through the cold war. I would have been one of dudes with a bomb shelter in his garden.

It's been great, for the first time since before last Christmas the are at a proper pace.

Couple weeks ago they had a really good week.

I was worried the move to GS (as well as loosing all the people from the sister sites) might have capped them for good.

If they can get Last Save and Random PC game back with any sort of regularity then I'll happily resub (something that I settled on not doing months ago).

The 3 hour SNES-TNT was absolutely amazing. Exactly the kind of stuff I subscribe to GB for.

I couldn't stop myself from laughing every time Vinny scored from halfway across the field, casually destroying Jeff.
And Tetris Battle Gaiden remains one of the wildest multiplayer games I have ever seen.

I want to get tetris battle gaiden at some point, but I can wait. I just dug out some of my old nes and snes games and started building up a collection again due to the retron 3. So many goddamn good games. Plus I picked up a gamecube for cheap as hell, who needs current gen?

Sunset Riders for the Snes and Robocop vs Terminator for the Genesis just showed up in the mail today.

I did a few months ago I'm loving the game.

There was another one about Syphon Filter 2, accusing him and all ZD publications of being casual jerks who conspired against Sega (and Syphon Filter, apparently).

The other night at work I was listening to an old bombcast from before the site was fully launched, he said something that is really true: even if you know you don't agree with someone's (he used Ryan in this instance) reviews, there is still value in that, because you can still base the reviewer's taste against your own.

Jeff rules, even when I don't agree with his take on something. And totally unrelated, but these periodic tweet updates of his housecleaning today has been pretty funny. "It's a lot more orderly in here", and you can see the carpet! Baby steps, sir.

Jeff posted about Hot Dance 98 randomly in May 2000 in that usenet group you totally failed at not revealing to the world. Good jokes apparently live for a decade.

I'm thinking about paying for a premium subscription to GB, but before I put down the money for an entire year I'd like to check it out if I like the premium content. If I go for the monthly payment option, is there an easy way to cancel my subscription if I don't want to continue it?

Last year they did some half price deals around thanks giving, you could wait till then.

Brad was 16 in February 1996. Fun thing, too: vidgames.com seems to still exist and doesn't seem to have been updated since April 1996.

Edit: Brad seems to have been involved in some sort of anti-anti movement against
Aeris' dying
in FFVII. The entire argument sounds like the Mass Effect 3 ending. Brad's easy to stalk through Usenet because of his alias.

Edit: Uhh, this can't be the same Brad Shoemaker, right?

I'm sure there is, as many gripers as there are in this thread, if subscriptions were one of them it would be on every page.
