I still feel the same way about Begins and TDK as I did on their initial viewings... roughly. I like TDK a little more now than I did at my first impression.

Yeah it should follow like any other big movie release. Keep this thread spoiler free and for people who haven't seen it. If you want to chime in to say you liked, loved it, or hated it feel free.

But there is a spoilers thread. Maybe the mods can make it "unmarked" spoilers and by the natural order of things most of the discussion will move into that thread anyway since tons of people will see it sooner than later anyway.

No, he's very much into the past films. He did the big TDK podcast with Kevin Smith back when it came out. I'm very curious to see why he thought it was a disaster.

I mean, Neil Gaiman and other films directors who've seen the movie loved the shit out of it. So this is very surprising to me.

Then again, I haven't seen it yet.

I like BB a little more, TDK a little less, but still 4/4 for both of them. I don't see my TDKR opinion changing too much, not to make a noticeable difference.

Even though Nolan gets his fair share of overblown love/hate, I really do think he's fantastic. All three films are some of my favourites.

I am actually different. BB was so damn good for me, it built up this hype level within me that could not be matched. Then the reviews pushed it even further up.

I loved TDK right away but I think I appreciated it more on my 2nd and 3rd watch.

This thread will likely be spoiler-free for a week or two, the spoiler thread will go its course, then unmarked spoilers will be allowed.

That's pretty much how it went for for Avengers/Prometheus.

It becomes this weird combination like Prometheus, where there's an OT and then there's a Spoiler thread, and over time the two kinda combine and you don't know which one to post in and you post in the wrong thread because you have both tabs open and it's a good ol' mess.

I dunno, but seeing as you've seen the movie, you could make the spoiler thread anytime now. Might not be a bad idea to make it before the Kiwis and Aussies see it.
 
The impressions thread should be different. I was one of the first last time around for that viral campaign screening. Good times.
 
It is a necessary evil. Otherwise people will post spoilers freely in this thread ruining it for the rest of us.

I mean its up to the powers that be. I'll avoid this thread starting Thurs anyway since I am seeing it Sat and I don't want to get accidently spoiled in the last 2 days.
 
I remember the Avengers situation, spoilers were a-ok after the weekend it opened Stateside.

I think the reasoning was because The Avengers opened up everywhere BUT America the week before. So now everybody had a chance to see it.
 
I was honestly having like heart palpitations when I saw TDK and the ending shook me up like crazy. I was in trance watching that damn movie, nothing else mattered, the world just melted away, all critical faculties on hold.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of how it worked in the Prometheus thread, where I was juggling two conversations at once.

But that's the way it's gotta be, I guess.
