Nice coat guy confirmed!!!!
I'd kill myself, my life would no longer be necessary. I've seen it all.I feel like it would be a big loss for that not to come full circle. If the last shot was Batman being killed (unmasked) then the bum coming over and laying his coat on him I'd actually be very happy.
In fact I'd be ecstatic.
The character, as with the rest of the story, is the creation of David S. Goyer. Goyer is the co-writer of The Dark Knight Rises, which also shares a similar story featuring Bane as Batmans primary antagonist, who starts a class war aimed against the rich and privileged of Gotham City with the backing of the common man.

Agreed. I liked that there were more comic book parts of this film than TDK, and a few more fist pumping hell yeah moments like in BB.

Already made $25m in advance tickets and WB puts weekend tracking between $165m-$170m.
From Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, Dark Knight Rises has already racked up $25 million in advance ticket sales, one of the best numbers of all time and underscoring the keen interest in the film, which returns Christian Bale in the title role. Newcomers to Nolan's blockbuster franchise include villain Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway and Marion Cottilard. Returning alongside Bale are Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Liam Neeson, who starred in Batman Begins, also is featured.
One veteran box office observer believes Dark Knight Rises could debut in the $185 million to $195 million range; Warners insiders say $170 million is a good starting point. "Anything above that is going into unknown territory," one insider said.
If Avengers crushed expectations by a wide margin, and TDKR is apparently an even more hyped film, all bets are off IMO.
Typical studio lowball to say it exceeded expectations. They know it'll hit between 190-210m
Hope lost.207.3M is the magic number. Anything below that is a loss
Hope lost.
Box office lost.
GAF lost.
250-300MWhat's the budget?
Our expectations.What's the budget?
What's the budget?
This pleases me.
I'm actually really happy that opinions are so varied on this one, at the moment. It made me deflate my ridiculo-hype balloon a bit, and will go in with a clean slate.
What's the budget?
If only Nolan did Mr.Freeze, then every action scene would be on ice and thusly, the camera could not get close enough to shoot dudes flailing around on ice.Even Dark Knight was a touch above Batman Begins action scenes... the best fight scenes in Batman Begins were Bruce vs the "devil" and Bruce vs Ducard on the frozen ice.
Can I inflate it again?
I'm especially pleased to report that the action scenes, specifically close combat, is improved from the previous films, and is a huge leap up from Batman Begins' quick-cut confusingness.
Batman hits a dude in the nuts with a bomb, what else do you need to know? That's not hard. The scene where Bats squares off with 4 LOS Ninja's towards the end is maybe the most poorly shot/edited fight scene I've ever seen in a high budget production. Like, seriously. I've seen the movie about 15 times and I still have no idea what happens in that fight
I wouldn't be able to handle it if Batman bites the dust in this. I will bawl like a child who just had his dog killed right in front of him.
Last time I cried for a movie was Lion King... when I was like 8-9.
100% agreed. Then again the fight scene in the building at the end of TDK wasn't that much better either. That's not hard. My favorite action scene*. Nolan plays it tight, but it's intentionally supposed to be with regards to the SWAT guys getting tricked. There's still a logic to where it flows and great money shots like Batman tackling dudes off a ledge.100% agreed. Whedon will save us!*Cherish this folks , unless you get a Cameron or Aronofsky or Someone of consistent status to make a comic trilogy this is as good as it gets
I would love it if Batman's fight scenes looked like the ones from the Arkham Asylum/City games.
If you didn't already know, DO NOT READ EBERT'S REVIEW. Fuck that guy.
Have they said how long it will take before there's another Batman film?
I imagine it'll probably be somewhere between five and 10 years. But I think at this point, given how much money this franchise is making, it's going to be closer to the five-year mark than 10.
