Highly enjoyed this film, thought it had great performances by almost everyone involved (Cotillard's acting was weak). But the writing was sort of a let down: pretty much the entire plot felt extremely telegraphed.

You knew Batman would "die" with all the scenes in the first act of Alfred spending so much time describing his fantasy and lines like "I buried enough members of the Wayne family" and then Blake's lines such as "I don't know if I'll have the chance to thank you later" etc. Way too much foreshadowing there.

Then Lucius saying about how all the armory stuff was developed in complete secrecy since it could be dangerous in the wrong hands, which of course means it gets robbed by Bane shortly after. And Bruce saying the clean energy project device should be destroyed since it could be used as a nuclear weapon, and sure enough that's exactly what happens.

And about a dozen other examples like this with overly obvious foreshadowing.

also something OT but JESUS fucking Christ was The hobbit trailer TERRIBAD.... smh Jackson....looks so bad. and all the actors are old, and ..... :(

What was that shitty Vince Vaugn/Ben Stiller movie? They didn't even show the movie's title. God, that was some Adam Sandler quality shit.

Also, Ben Stiller is old now.

I think his box blew up from a separate explosion.
His booth got blowed up.
his press box blew up.
Yeah, he's dead.
Yeah he's LOST.
Thanks guys. I thought it was strange that they didn't hold a funeral or have a service in his honor, but I suppose everybody had more pressing things to do.

She was well above Hathaway at Wayne Manor.
What, no. No. No. Anne Hathaway was amazing and one of the primary reasons I saw the movie.

DON'T YOU DARE I WAS GIDDY DURING THE TRAILER.

even if it was the first trailer (#1) and i've seen it a hundred times, i was beyond giddy, i can't wait for the hobbit :#

Question:

How did Batman get back from the prison? No money, no resources... what the fuck?

plothole / he's the fuckin batman / it wasn't explained :lol

I loved when Talia 'stoked the fire' after sleeping with him; that, their conversation, and her scars were enough to make you suspect she wasn't on Batman's side, but I did not expect her to be the child which was awesome. Really liked the movie, even more after sleeping on it. A very good end to the story, which I didn't expect after Ledger's death. There were things I didn't like, but it entertained and hit the right emotional notes, and like TDK before it managed to really makes the situation feel desperate at times and I didn't feel like Batman was always in control. Want to see it again.

Yeah, seriously brah, it's the goddamn batman. Bruce probably has money stashed away in multiple countries under multiple accounts. How else do you think he was able to go live happily ever after with Catwoman out in Europe? She had no money to her name either, she got her slate wiped clean.

Why would they have a service in his honor alone when a lot of people were killed?

Hilarious, I had a friend who didn't like the movie just now list off a ton of supposed plot holes and nitpicks (most of which were pretty easy to explain), yet he completely ignored this one.

And the answer is: This movie is nearly 3 hours long. We better edit something or leave something out because if we go any longer the movie theater chains are going to get pissed.

lol I had my eye closed most of the trailers listening to DK soundtrack :P I fucking HATE trailers at the begining of movies. I just didn't time it right. Almost busted my swerve. :P

People talking about how the ending is like Inception's? I mean, maybe? I didn't have doubts leaving the theater. It's not like they pulled some choose your own ending, Blake sees Batman in the Batcave and Alfred sees Bruce on vacation, type of ending. It's only the latter.

Did anybody else like Bane more than they liked The Joker? I just liked how so physically overpowering Bane was over Batman. It also helped he wasn't a big doofus like he was in Batman and Robin. Don't get me wrong, The Joker was great, but it was great seeing Batman get his ass beat by someone.

If the auto-pilot had been fixed, why didnt Batman just blow the wheels of the truck and fly the bomb out to the ocean rather than attempt to direct the truck?

They could at least take a line to explain something like that then. They were pretty blatent with things like Ra's being a hallucination and actually flashing to Gordon putting a coat on little Bruce's shoulders. They smacked you right in the face with that stuff, but for some reason they leave out any explanation of how Wayne got half way around the world. It just shows how unbalanced the writing was.

Doesn't Ben Stiller basically make the same movie over and over.

I think the script is fill in the blanks.

Wow there is some overwhelming force, let me get a group of my actor buddies together and we will find a way to overcome this tradgey in a totally comedic way.

The Watch looks like Tower Hiest with Aliens.

:/ sorry I guess its because Jackson isn't using film and its on digital cameras.... I will see it to for one reason! :P

I think it's because it's still a source of clean power and salvaging it is possibly the better option of the two. I remember someone mentioning it's "the best hope" of somethingorother.

All we got for trailers were Man of Steel and that Will Ferrell/Zach Galifinakis movie. Where the fuck was my Skyfall trailer :(.

This right here. These terrible trailers and the missing (kick-ass apparently) Skyfall trailer is going to hurt this film at the box office.

Probably not, but it's how I feel. :(

I really thought the movie would end when Alfred looked up and nods, then straight into the credits. I think I would've preferred it that way...

But I guess that would've pissed off a load of idiots like inception. So what does it mean? is he alive? PLEASE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME! Derp

But then people would just be like "man we didn't need to have that explained, we're not idiots". Filmmakers just can't win no matter what.

Thinking more on the ending.

Alfred was broken up because he really thought Bruce was dead. Sometime later Bruce gets in touch with him to stay with him Europe.

I don't think the meeting was coincedental. Unless Bruce and Selina tracked down Alfred and came to him.

The autopilot thing went totally over my head, but it makes sense now.

yea stilll loved the JGL rise ending too.

ahahahah me too lol Still wouldn't have made since.... Fucking TOM CRUISE. :/

I mean, just don't mention her altogether, geez. It's like the opposite of fan-service.

I thought Batman was dead for sure. Alfred had imagined seeing Bruce when he was away from Gotham, and now he's imagining seeing Bruce again now that he's died. Makes perfect sense to me.

Then I found out about the auto-pilot fix so there goes that theory. It's actually very disappointing, it feels like it completely cheapens "the death of Batman."
