Does anyone find it ironic that after everything Bane did... He didn't mind his surroundings and it cost him his life? lol
:lol
Good one *claps*

Dude, my IMAX didn't play anything before the film. Just started it right up with the Warner Studios opening. So according to Slashfilm they sent out two different Man of Steel trailers. Did anyone get the Russell Crowe voice over version? Our theater had the Costner one.
She never met him before. He left before she was born. He didn't even know she was born in the dungeon.
He wasn't even Ras al Ghul back then, just a mercenary. So she doesn't know anything about him.
So how is a basically nameless 6 year old who escaped a dungeon in a random foreign country supposed to find someone she has never met or knows nothing about?
Btw, where the heck was that cave? Didn't look anywhere near America, but sure seemed like Bane was able to casually drop Bruce off there. And once he got out how did he make it back to Gotham? But then again this is the part where the movie skips ahead 5 months without any warning.

This is the same Bane who gave a very public execution to thousands.

Sometimes the truth is a terrible argumentI agree with you, but this argument is terrible.
How is this liar not banned yet?
That's the joke.The Dark Knight's villan is a clown.
Besides Anne, I think Nolan has trouble directing women. None of the women in his films have been very engaging or good. Anne Hathaway somehow escapes that curse in this movie. I really liked her performance and she was what I most worried about. When Cotilliard died, it was so so over acted and fake. I'm like, Nolan, you were happy with that delivery?

The heck is that business? I wanted my Skyrim, Hobbit, Man of Steel, etc. trailers. =(
Guess they're trying to get as many showings in as possible. Showed up at 4:30 in the afternoon and they told a couple that they were sold out until 5:30 am.
Scarecrow > Bane?
Not even in the fear department

Solo is really pissed he didn't quote this first right now.
I couldn't tell who did the voice over in the one I saw.So according to Slashfilm they sent out two different Man of Steel trailers. Did anyone get the Russell Crowe voice over version? Our theater had the Costner one.
Dude, it's a valid gripe but in the end it's whatevers.
How about this?
In Empire Strikes Back, (a movie just about everyone loves) Luke Skywalker travels to Dagobah, looking for a person he has never met and lands within yards of where he lives.
That would be like if I was flying to Earth (and I had never been here) and I happened to land a few yards next to my destination.
What are the chances?
But in the end, it doesn't really matter because, that plot hole isn't enough to destroy the film for me and the one you are calling out isn't enough for me here either.
It definitely wasn't in America.
He's TOFTS at the end of TDKR.
I get it's not his only reason for stopping, but when you have Bruce Wayne -- the Batman; the man that started it all; the man that swore he'd dedicate his life to fighting injustice, no matter the cost -- throw in the towel after only ~2 years of active Bat-duty... It really cheapens Bruce as a character, in my eyes.
If it was shown that during those 8 years, only Bruce Wayne turned into a recluse and that Batman was still active, I'd have no problem with it.
Dude. The force. This isn't even a bullshit sarcastic answer.
Totally. Such a shame. I'm positive we would have at least seen Joker when all the prisoners were freed.
TDKR felt more like a spiritual successor to BB than TDK.
Weird. Mine was a Cinemark. I guess if they save 15 minutes per showing they can get an extra one in on Sunday-ish?Me neither. Museum so I guess they don't do trailers. I still would have thought Man of Steel would have been physically attached to all prints.
You'd be fine. Free promotion. I did already see that one in the other DKR thread. ;D It was kind of boring compared to the hard-to-see ComicCon footage. There is a crappy cell phone leak of the Man of Steel trailer online. Could I post the link or would I be banned/risking being banned.
It definitely wasn't in America.
Don't ask how Bane got on a plane and transported Bruce without anybody noticing.
Don't ask how Bruce got back into a quarantined city.
Roger Ebert in his review recognizes the actual prison and says it is in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Obviously the film doesn't elaborate if this is the same place.

So Bane and Talia were willing to sacrifice themselves from the beginning to destroy Gotham? Did they really only want to do it to honor Ras?
Bane had the resources of a billionaire which he subsequently killed, surely a comic book movie evil billionaire can smuggle people in and out of a country?

Fuck it, it's time to continue the Nolanverse through an animated series

That's a fucking cop out answer.
Ra's saved that 'mind your surroundings' tip for his favorite disciples.

I should mention it's not a prison IRL. It's just a well.
Oh, I thought you meant his 8 year exile after TDK, not his presumably permanent one after TDKR. In that case, I don't think it was age so much as the physical limitations of him as a person. He was in horrible condition just from fighting R'as, Two-Face, Joker, and Scarecrow... none of which were serious physical threats. After being pummeled by Bane a couple times (and taking a pretty serious shanking from Talia to top it off) I'm sure that he was truly too battered down to effectively be The Batman any more. With the barometer of realism that Nolan's films are held to by himself and the fans, I would find it very unrealistic to think that a guy who has been shot, attacked by several dogs, stabbed, fallen several stories several times, whacked repeatedly with a crow bar, set on fire crashed on his bat-pod, having his back broken, and then taking a few more heavy blows from Bane to top it off could possibly be in any condition to pose a serious threat to anyone. I don't think it was a choice so much as a necessity.
It's still kind of strange. People move great distances and across huge time spans with barely a shrug from the editing department.
The movie plays very loose with geography and time.
IRL, I don't even think it was that. It was something the production crew set up. It's just the fortress itself beyond the well that's real.
No, that's not how film-making works. Most of the movie will have been pre-vised extensively and I get the impression that's how Nolan wanted it. If you listen to the commentaries in BB you'll learn that Nolan wanted the fights to be a flurry, and vague, just like the bad dudes would experience them as Batman struck from the shadows.
I know this sounds like a cop out... but when talking about batman and bane, isn't the fact that one is batman and the other bane enough justification to believe that they could pull off both respective tasks? I think it's to be assumed that their abilities and cunning exceeds the typical Gotham citizen.
He had a final scene...
"You will just have to imagine the fire!" And then takes a propelled grenade (or two) to the chest... it was an extremely fitting way to do away with him if you ask me. I don't know why anyone would want a character like Bane to go out as he lies on the ground whispering sweet nothings to Talia or something.
His one weakness was sleeping in during that day. Oh Bane.Bane was kicked out before the Mind Your Surroundings course came up in his training montage.
He never had a chance.
