If Bruce actually fix the autopilot for The Bat 6 months ago why did he have to go along with it? Can't he stay back?
You do know he didn't stay in it, and lived, right?

Victory has defeated you.
That's a sweet one liner.
Completely unharmed? And I'm not just criticizing the realism of the crash but also how its handled. It was jarring to go from a hooray type moment for Gordon, which I thought was laughable, to a very serious death of a villain based on the same event.
I would imagine whiplash or cracked rib would be the worst case scenario for him.
Reading through this thread and
I agree with this, his voice in the prologue sounded much better. It was so loud in the final version that it sounded ridiculous.
Why was Bane losing his shit when Bruce began punching his mask? It was very unlike his character to begin swinging the way he was.
From that truck crash? I don't buy it for a second. I think there would be blunt force impact damage and maybe cuts from the hard metal. Again, my issue is not just the realism of the scene.
He wanted people to think he was dead
To make it seem that batman died
You do know he didn't stay in it, and lived, right?
Seemed pretty standard to and most viewers.
I meant is why can't he just set the autopliot in the beginning and chill with Gordon and Catwoman on the ground while The Bat fly away with the bomb but instead he activated it near the end and bail out into the open sea?
I have no idea how "most viewers" felt about the scene but I was and am only posting my opinion not theirs. It was one of many poorly executed moments in the film.
I don't see how Bruce getting back into Gotham is bothering people. The guy is after all trained by the league of shadows and not to mention he is the goddamn Batman which he uses darkness and stealth to his advantage. Getting into Gotham should be no problem for Bruce, doesn't really need a additional scene for it.
that was one of the parts that was like whaaa? cause i think he got out of that pit when it was like "!2 hours left" then all of a sudden, he happenned to find dat cat woman. if I got out that pit and it was 12 hours left, I would have been like "Fuck, I guess gotham is just done." but then again, I am not the GOD DAMN BATMAN
i thought he still had 20 some odd days when he got out of the pit

talia's death was horribly acted, it was so bad that part of me thought she was trying to fake her death
The film needed to show one transition scene between the prison and Gotham to give the audience a general idea of space and time. Bruce literally pops in and out of two places.
To make it seem that batman died
...and I'm responding why your opinion on this specific topic seems odd.

Because its at odds with how you think most people felt about the scene?
And I have to repeat this, they really fucked up Bane's voice during the prologue. It was SO obviously done through ADR. I really do not like bloggers for their constant complaining for month after month right now. Nolan should have stuck with his guns there.
But they were gonna bring the bomb to Lucius but Talia prevented it, it doesn't make sense within that few seconds Batman just plans to "die"

Fucking this. Easily the worst part of the entire movie. The new line readings were so horrible.

No, not really.
Gotham in Begins was a regular city. The narrows was the only thing that looks like the comics.
Agreed. Bane is a warrior, he should have been bested by Batman in hand to hand combat and not blown away by out-of-nowhere Catwoman on a Batpod inside a building no one saw or heard coming.
"Light it up" is going to make for an awesome gif for when someone returns from a ban.
It'll probably be for Sculli.
How do you know when he activated it and when he bailed out? I don't think I'd go out to sea in the batsuit. I bet it's a bitch to swim in. And he had to be at least six miles away not to be vaporized.
But I can't remember if there were cuts to him in the Batwing after that...
I thought Bats bailed out when he fired the missiles at the building for no apparent reason and made a huge could of black smoke, perfect time to eject undetected.
But I can't remember if there were cuts to him in the Batwing after that...
Why would it be for Sculli? It doesn't form a burning image of James Cameron!![]()
Right...this has been a very fruitful back and forth.
Alright BAT GAF.
Bane vs Joker.
Both are given a week of prep time and know about each other.
i thought he still had 20 some odd days when he got out of the pit
When the "new" Batman smell wears off I expect to see a lot of people back away from their praise. Ill give Nolan the same credit I always give him..hes a good idea man. But execution is everything and this movie is such a mess. Hes great at making people not think about what is actually going on because his plot, his story is sandwhiched between money shots and lines that sound cool (born in the shadows is an example).
wait what? is this true? can someone confirm, I could have sworn he had like 12 hours left.
meh, I didn't think it needed it at all. Bruce having ways into Gotham should be a given.
Moving from Bruce jumping out the window in the hospital to holding Gordon's hand mid conversation was much more jarring for me.
there was 23 days left when he climbed out
Better performance, or who would win? Because Ledger and Bane are the answers.
