Sums up how I felt as well. My only major complaint would be Bane's death but other than that it was very enjoyable. To sum up my post-watching reactions in one word: satisfied.

If what you say turns out to be true, I will be SO fucking disappointed. I don't even care if Bruce comes back. I mostly just want some more Robin and Catwoman action. They were both so good, and deserve more screen time. There won't be a sequel. There WILL be a new Batman movie in the next 4-5 years, but not featuring this cast or crew or storyline.
I disagree with Lucious and Blake. Bruce when he fixed the Bat autopilot software at that point was probably not planning on faking his death at that point. I'm also not sure if Blake knows either.

Blake probably doesn't need to know he's alive, if that's how you think it is. Wayne's supposed death, the act of valor and heroism he displayed to his end, and Blake's frustrations with authority are enough to push him towards "the will to act."
But regardless, he knows. How the fuck could he not when he got the coordinates? Bruce wouldn't give him those coordinates after first meeting him.
I think that is by far the most likely scenario, with the tiniest of chances WB will try and get JGL to actually be Batman and continue on from here. Absolutely no Bale or Nolan, though.

I definitely agree it doesn't matter whether Blake knows if Wayne is still alive.
It depends on when the will was altered. Blake could probably very easily find out if Wayne was still alive if the will was altered after the nuke.
JGL is too short and small to wear the classic Batsuit. I'd be ok with him having a Redrobin suit I guess, but I'd rather just have a new Batman.

Didn't Nolan say he's done with batman forever? I heard somewhere that Warner Brothers is already rebooting the batman franchise now that DKR is over (of course this will be YEARS from now)
It doesn't matter when the will was altered. The fact that it was altered is all you need to know. There is absolutely NO reason Bruce would amend his will to include Blake if he weren't planning to move on and pass the torch.

I think he's supposed to be helping to produce a new one but that's it. It would be bad if he was directing it anyway as the tone will probably be radically different compared to this trilogy.

If this movie didn't feel so much like Dark Knight Returns, I would have loved to see a DKR movie with Nolan and Bale returning years from now for a final swan song.
Hell, I'd still like to see that.
I don't think JGL would do it, he's too much of a Nolan fanboy to make a random Batman action flick.
Pretty sure he shot this notion down a couple weeks ago. He is 100% done with Batman in any capacity.
What was the part about Blake being in the will? I missed that. I'm assuming they told him he got a cave?
The real question is, when is too soon for a new Joker? I imagine that character won't be touched for a long ass time. Then again, you never know with Hollywood.
Could still do it in like 15 years. Pick up with Blake as Batman being killed by a new evil in Gotham that makes Bane look like a teddy bear. Bruce, unwilling to just stand by, returns to Gotham a crotchety old Batman.
Didn't he say something after TDK that he wasn't doing another Batman movie? I have no doubt he's not directing but he still might help out a bit with writing supervision or some other level.
So Batman Beyond the movie? *thumbs up*
Let's shelve Joker, Two-Face, and Rhas for a while.
I want to see Black Mask, Hugo Strange, and a serious take on Mr. Freeze.

With the director talking to press over the weekend for "The Dark Knight Rises," he revealed that he has finished with his involvement with Batman and has no plans to take part in the franchise moving forward, in any capacity. “No, none at all. We’re finished with all we’re doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character,” he told EW when asked about future Bat-plans, also denying reports he will be involved in any reboots. “Batman will outlive us all, and our interpretation was ours. Obviously, we consider it definitive and kind of finished. The great thing about Batman is he lives on for future generations to reinterpret, and obviously, Warners will have to decide in the future what they’re going to do with him. We’ve had our say on the character..."
Yeah, I was considering the possibility of JGL as Batman, too. I'd be 100% okay with that. I don't particularly care, though. A reboot seems so utterly pointless to me. Not just pointless, but wasteful! There's too many awesome characters / events left to explore from the Nolan trilogy. I don't even mind if someone else directs. I kind of agree with this:Didn't Nolan say he's done with batman forever? I heard somewhere that Warner Brothers is already rebooting the batman franchise now that DKR is over (of course this will be YEARS from now)

Well there is no chance they would do a sequel where he wasn't Batman. Nobody is going to see a Red Robin or Knightwing movie. Being too short isn't really a problem in movies, and he could beef up a bit.
Freeze played as well as Harvey was would be fantastic.
Christopher Lee would be a good Strange if he wasn't so old.

A serious Freeze would be hard to pull off.....
Black Mask or even Great White Shark would be quality.

The pinnacle of the film was Bane blowing up Heinz Field.
Clearly, he's a Browns fan.
