Defenders is the best team book on sale at the moment. I don't know what the fuck you're saying.

Issues 1-5 of defenders, mostly crap ( at least i disliked it a lot). Issues 6 and 7 when it went Iron Fist heavy, enjoyable. I've yet to read my copy of #8, but nothing in Defenders makes me confident in Fraction writing FF/Fantastic Four.

Opinionssss of course.

What happen to one book a week, Marvel Now? I think we're on 8 books relaunching in November alone.

I think they said it was gonna be a mix of relaunches and new titles altogether so, the secret hope for new Black Panther is around. Not to mention they did just launch new ongoigns for Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, and *sigh* Gambit.

Finally burned through a three week backlog. I really need to make an effort to get out to my comic shop more often. Highlights for me were:

Earth 2 (#4)-- This book continues to be amazing. Loving the art style. The introduction of the Atom was bad ass.

Worlds Finest (#4)-- I don't enjoy the "current" art very much, but the "flashback" scenes are absolutely engaging. I didn't like them at first but they've grown on me. Love some of the dynamics between Helena and Karen.

The Flash (#11)-- Watching Barry interact with some of his Rogues on the DL was interesting. Curious to see where this particular storyline is going to go.

Green Lantern (#11) / New Guardians (#11) / Red Lanterns (#12)-- Yeah, we all know the Guardians are dicks, but with all the shit about to hit the fan, I can't wait to see the fallout.

Someone from Valve and Naughty Dog asking for a portfolios that deal with concept art (no deadline). Someone from Pixar and Blue Sky asking for a polished portfolio of storyboards (I don't draw them in boxes--6 months). Starting work as the window display artist for Whisk NYC and Brooklyn.

Manic Depression, I use this bitch to my advantage....I still feel like crap though.

I have no idea but this guy seemed to like it. I only like it because I wanna draw fedora Batman, dominatrix Madame Catwoman, and Swagga Joker. Also:

In my script it's a commentary on corruption, crime, prohibition, and sex during the turn of the century and Batman being both a vigilante and speakeasy owner/too much of that pen in DC's ink---I really hope this editor (he seems really young) gets that and not y'know...

Really they want a completely different outlook from the standard origin after origin story

Fables is absolute trash to me. brah can't even do anything with established characters. Fairy tale characters being violent and sexual is neither cute or sompelling. This is why Alan Moore did not want Before watchmen to happen. Not worth the newspaper it's printed on.

Pretty much the direct opposite of what this guy wrote. Violent and sexual? Have you actually read past the first five issues?

I consider Fables the best-written comic out right now. I have all fifteen (sixteen?) TPBs and both my wife and I love them. The WTF moments when previously fringe characters come into their own as powerful heroes is so enjoyable.

Yeah, I've never had any issues with the huge Marvel stuff and I've read a lot of them but when I see some of my 400 page DC books starting to show wear in the binding, I'm not sure I want to go for bigger stuff.

They should always go for sewn, particularly considering the price they ask for sometimes.

Jack kirby had a few of his characters ripped by marvel. Challengers of the unknown(with his assistance) was flipped into fantastic four, darkseid was flipped into thanos.

metron was flipped into thanos then was given darkseids stature because metron was deemed too flimsy.

i really wouldnt say flipped , from what i understand Kirby had nothing to do with Thanos and Drax the Destroyer, Starlin was just a big fan of the New Gods and wanted to make characters in that mold, metron with his chair is by starlins own admission inspired the original look . Some other creator/editor just said hey bulk him up because clearly he thought DS had a badass look. Originally Thanos and Drax were purely Starlin's ideas though, and the only reason he did what his editor suggested was because he didnt think his comics career would last all that long. So of course he did whatever he was told to get one of his creations in the Marvel U. Cause you know that starlin hack, he wasnt gonna last long

90s cartoon Gambit is one of the most iconic xmen charecter as far as I and legions of others are concerned. I remember in high school every time a new X-men movie was announced the first question out of everyones mouth was "is gambit gonna be in this one?"
