The option to hide was already there. Least in the inv screen.
Before, you had to right click and select show/hide. Now there's literally a checkbox on top of the item, so it's just one click.
How the hell do you people target with a controller? Ugh must be horrible.
There's two ways; the aforementioned "select target with your stick", or, when there's too many targets (as indeed is the case with WvW melees), I have cycle next/previous target mapped to D-Pad left and right. This is actually more intuitive and faster than Tab/Shift tab.
Unless you target enemies by clicking on them, which is all well and fine, but I find it much more prone to error (especially with allies in the way, etc).
So you're in WvWvW and it always targets the person you want to attack in a group of 50 targets?
50 enemies
within attack range, aside from meaning you'll be dead in a couple of seconds, would mean easily 200 players fighting at once (at least 100 per side). Good thing I've never encountered anything close to that number, even defending forts, because I'm quite sure my computer wouldn't be able to handle them at all.
Thanks a lot for spreading the word!
Wow I could definitely see some actual competitive games of Keg Brawl. Shit is fun!
"Fun" may be an understatement here!
So you're not going to WvWvW?
I spent quite some time in WvW during this beta, and only died when severely outnumbered. I killed quite some people in zergs as a melee (sword/sword) mesmer, how about that? I'm not "good" by any means, and I'm sure most people here would mop the floor with me, but the thing is that they'd be able to do so as easily (or more) if I was using Kb+m.
Playing with that "complex" controller setup. Seems to have most of the important stuff except...how do I initiate an attack without using a skill?
The very first weapon skill (1, or X in both of my configurations) is what would be an auto-attack.
Yeah I've found that out, outside of a mouse click on an enemy. Starting a battle with a skill seems good enough.
No, no; you misunderstand. It's not that it's not mapped, there IS no autoattack, unless you count the first ability, which is usually a regular attack of sorts, has no cooldown, and is set to auto-attack by default.
Was able to visit Skrittsburgh. Pretty cool little system they have for it. Sort of a preview of things to come later on?
That sounds outright amazing. So eager to see it, now.
screenshot time - brace yourself
I like your Sylvary much more than I thought I would a bluish-skinned one (although your blue is bark-gray so it works great). And yeah, the night-glo Asura eyes are awesome.
Barely got to play, but I hope I helped test the stress.
I cannot fucking WAIT for this to launch.
Is that why your character was sitting in the middle of Metrica Province for most of the stress test? I see.
btw this:
Is fucking badass.
It really is; loving it so much now that it's all antialiased and smooth.
Ok, that is FREAKING AMAZING. i can't believe they actually went that far to make racial skills attractive to Engineers. Man, are they spoiled or what?
Also, I realized the turret abilities are in addition to making them explode (you have one out, it explodes; you don't, the other ability fires).
but I'm not sure how much I NEED that 3 extra inches either...
Four posts apart or so, too.
You can make your armor look like literally anything you want, so it really doesn't hurt anything for them to go crazy with the armor set design.
That's a good observation; no point in making a lot of normal-looking sets when a few is enough (if you like them, transmute). Give something for everyone. (haven't seen the pics, imgur is down).
The mushroom head is so bad....
Oh, I did't know this forum censored "ass" as "...."
Weltall took this picture.
Read about her here...
Oh yeah, forgot to upload an Ultra-HD version of it. There you go:

The fact that they also seem to get their own unique dodge animation that also looks like a teleport (or at least my human female does) is pretty awesome as well. Makes you feel badass if you're playing well.
Didn't know about that! Only thief I played was a Norn (so as to try a combination I'd never use in retail), and I don't think he had that.
I know choosing a World is supposed to be a serious decision and you shouldn't switch servers whenever yours is losing in WvWvW, but wouldn't it be a good idea to let everyone change World free of charge during 24 hours every, say, 3 or 6 months? It'd be good if you took the wrong decision when playing for the first time, or if your friends picked a different server.
I would be totally for this, but ArenaNet has to get their money from somewhere... :/
Where is your 'second', Brett?! I'm a progression Nazi and this shift from 'First' to 'Third' is killing me.
Was about to post that.
