More Code Geass isn't a bad thing. But I don't know if it would be a good thing either. Dat ending etc. Akito gets a pass cause it's a spin-off but R3 might end up sucking.

That final moment with Taichi and Nagase can bring tears to your eyes. especially when she said she didn't want to die. I wonder if they will pursue a relationship since they have a second chance at it.

feels like her resurrection served more as a reset point than a continuation trigger, plus Inaba is still demonstrating that she is still not completely 100% out of the game. Wouldn't be surprised if things didn't change to full-on in that direction just yet.

I think so, it's supposed to be set between R1 and R2 or at least in the end of R1 so we might see his actions mentioned.
My feeling on Aoki is that he is
going to lash out on Taichi and the group. He is the odd man out right now and Taichi is close to all 3 girls. I can see jealousy becoming a problem.

I knew they weren't going to go through with it, since the series is 8 novels and still going and this was just the end of the first, but that's not to say the scenes weren't effective. All the seiyuu are doing an outstanding job with their roles, and it'll be interesting to see where the story goes from here now that the first "arc" is complete.

Actually, the last "new" anime Goro Taniguchi directed (a Jungle Emperor Leo TV special) was decent, if not particularly popular or anything.
At the same time, I've generally enjoyed most of his other works myself, so I'm not that cynical. Thankfully.
Still...there's really no way to tell if this will be good or bad in advance, although I'm admittedly not too interested in cosplaying as a subject matter.
Honestly, it probably won't have anything to do with Code Geass at all. It looks like they just hired him to make a promotional piece.

Ok, after eight episodes, i think i can pinpoint what problem i have with this anime: The way the characters act doesn't make any freaking sense!
First, we have Hamdo. He's an insane dictator. That's ok. Our history had its share of insane dictators too. The problem is, Hamdo is just insane. Hitler was out of mind too, but he also was a capable orator and strategist. Hamdo is crazy and incompetent, how the hell did he rise to power? Also, his plot armor is fucking ridiculous, what was the point of that stupid
Then, we have Abelia. Why is she so devoted to Hamdo? Certainly, her character type isn't rare, but they usually have strong reasons to be so attached to the evil dude. Abelia shows no sign of them, she just is.
Sara character is fine, but she seems to exist only for drama.
The only character i can relate is Nabuca, his internal conflict makes sense and it's well constructed.

Just as a bit of mental exercise, and in wake of the twist and turns in Eureka Seven AO's plot I've started compiling a list of BONES titles with needlessly convoluted plots that may or may not resolve into cluster-fuck endings. I really don't know why this problem afflicts BONES and it's writers but really, it must be stopped. Piling ridiculous sub-plots and bizarre story devices on top of your core narratives rarely strengthens the characters or the emotional bond that you want the audience to have with them. It just makes a mess.
Here's my list of examples:
- Rahxephon, to a certain extent
- Darker Than Black, towards the ending but especially
- Darker Than Black S2 because of obvious reasons
- X'amd was clearly made up as they went along
- Un-Go, while being an extremely confusing mess feels extremely deliberate in the way it obfuscates everything.
- Eureka Seven AO - I don't even know where to begin
Is this just a natural consequence of creating an anime from scratch, rather than basing it off of a manga or is it simply to do with the writers at BONES? Oh, and yes, I am aware that not all those titles I listed are wholly original in nature.

The loss being all those scenes in various either black and white or sepia at times, repeated scenes that weve seen, etc. It was pretty tragic for Seirin to loss and they didnt even replay Kise!

As long as Haru belongs to Kuroyukihime and Chiyu lives, it's never over.
Let's hope this doesn't happen. Also, have you seen the sexual tension between haru and taku? Or haru and sky raker? Or haru and niko? Or haru and anyone that isn't haru?
Full metal alchemist 1 would fit right on there, it was clearly made up as it went along.
I still need to finsih un-go left off at ep6or7 3rd best thing to come out of bones.

I think after getting this far, i'm on Team Maria. For second place it's a bit harder though, because there's Saki, Hinagiku, Normal-chan, Hakase, and the Student Council Trio. Normal-chan is just really endearing.
And with the strawberry licking, I got as far as I could in frames before they censored the rest of her eating the cream off it, out.
Hmm... Well at first that seems like an amazing couple. But when i think about it, they are a bit too similar. I'd rather pair one of them off with niko.
Niko can suck it. Almost as bad as Chiyu. She exists solely to make Kuroyukihime look even more cool.

Meh. I still dont' see the appeal for yuri.
Gonna have to add Soul Eater to that list, or at least the ending. Even after the transition to anime-original material, it never truly reaches clusterfuck status until the last episode, but good grief what a clusterfuck that finale is.
If we can list films as well, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa is an easy addition to the list.

I'm glad the anime-original material didn't start till like the last two episodes. I mean, that entire end event still happens in the manga too, just the outcome of it and how it gets resolved is different is all.
