Yeah, chat channels have been buggy for me since one of the last patches. I think starting with the one where we got KotL. At least it left me in the Neogaf channel.
It's left me with no one, can't choose another channel either cause it resets after I watch a game or play one.

None of my channels save between sessions, it resets every time. Its annoying
hey guys, kinda have a question. As a support, like veno, am I playing right if I end up with something like 3/13/24? At the end, when pushing the enemy base, everyone ends up targeting the squishy support first so I end up dying, although I manage to get in an ulti, resulting in a decent amount of assists.
I usually build towards mek, arcane boots, then aghanim. So am I playing veno right or should I be doing something else?

As long as your assists are more than your deaths, you should be fine. But if you're going 3/23/24 then we have a problem.

So I just (apparently) got reported for map hacking. Oh newbies, you're so cute. I didn't even buy that many wards because I was giving all my farm to a terrible farmer.

You have to create a .cfg file to autojoin channels. Create autoexec.cfg in this folder:
<Steam Directory>\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\cfg
And add this for each channel:
chat_join "<Channel name>"
I got one of those yesterday by deleting an uncommon. Inspired me to play Sven for the first time in dota2, which was fun.Just found this

currently no, they kicked automatically after 5 or 10 min at the well or something like that.

It can also be a bad thing if there are two team mates telling you the opposite things, I played a game as Keeper and we didn't have any heroes viable in the late game against the oppositions riki, lycan and Dragon knight. I went for the mid push because that was the only way we could win and around 20mins we had their mid tier 3 down and the other lanes were pushing tier 2's. I'm inisisting on rax and a dumb bounty hunter is farming and saying over the mic that he got the late game. Obviously my low level team mates decide to listen to the guy with the mic and 40 mins we got stomped. It was infuriating and once he realised he didn't have the late game he just stopped talking. I check his profile and he only has 18 wins and he was talking as if he knew exactly what he was doing and telling team mates to go for the late game.
I've been playing a ton of nyx the past couple days, its been a lot of fun. Been using him as mid, then just pretty much constantly ganking as soon as I hit 6, only pausing to farm when no one is in a gankable position.
Really sets up the rest of the team for late game, since Nyx is not a carry but can easily guarantee that both sides dominate their lane and makes sure they are nice and fat while the other team is underleveld.
Obviously falls off late game, but good at shutting down a squishy carry or support in team fights.
Been starting with regen and gauntlets, going for an early bottle. Then trasitioning to bracer, boots, and urn of shadows, converting those into drums and arcane before building a dagon. At that point I generally either get an ethereal blade or sheep stick, depending on the other team's comp.
Also I've been watching Purge's videos, and his minimap icons are huge. I commented on a video and asked how he did it, someone replied that it was through the console, I checked ,b dota 2 wiki and didn't see anything that would do it, but would be easy to miss. Anyone know how to do this?

Just went 19/6/16 as Bounty Hunter, feels good man. I think I'm finally sorta starting to get the hang of things.

This is what happens when you develop a game that is the equivalent of five tight rope walkers attempting to cross between two 50 story buildings while they're all tied together by a chain with a few rusty links. Sometimes one guy slips and the chain breaks so he falls alone. Other times he drags everyone with him.

Oh wow, thanks! Can't wait to try this. I should have put "typing deaths" in that kryptonite thread.
This reminds me, I wonder when they plan to hook up the "missing" lines for the heroes (other than the bots). I would think they would trigger when you type "missing ___" or "ss ___" or something like that, kind of like "lol/haha" and "thanks/thx" does.
Also, they should add lines for "gg".

Agreed. I was stuck playing just a few heroes for a long time until I started getting items. I've avoided melee carries for, well, ever, but got a nice PA weapon from the summer stash and have had a ton of fun with her. It seems like that's broken a long standing mental barrier, even if I'm still bad for the most part. Getting late game with someone like PA is just so damned rewarding, and I wouldn't have experienced that feeling yet if it weren't' for Deathwielder dropping.
Speaking of summer items, I have two hammer times (tide weapon). I'd trade a hammer time and wheel of fortitude (awesome tide headpiece from the summer stash) for the Omni summer weapon, Hammer of Holy Words. Trading discussion in the trading thread, but figured I'd mentioned it while on the subject of the summer items.

Why does PB not go into the BO5 grand final with a game advantage over CLG? They came through the winners bracket, right? And CLG lost to them?
There is nothing worse than tournaments that don't understand the concept of double elimination. I'm pretty sure TI2's qualifiers had the same problem. Don't make no sense.

Apparently PB don't need it.
Looks like it will be 3-0 anyway. I prefer no game advantage myself. Best of 5 starting with 0-0 is more fair for that game itself. But we've already been over this before. Some people want there to be an advantage for the high bracket team and a disadvantage for the lower bracket team.
I personally don't agree a 1 full game advantage should be that though, it's too much to fight back from most of the time.
