So instead of talking about hud toggle options (which I agree with) let's beat a dead horse and ask for skill based ranks in halo 4.
I'm super seriel guysss

This guy knows what he is talking about :P

I wish 343 would just tell us what they are planning for a competitive ranking system. I have been waiting to hear about a competitive ranking system since 343 took over from Bungie. Sadly they used the "we are putting all our efforts into Halo 4" and did not fix the ranking issue in Reach. Now that some Halo 4 news is out, I still don't see or hear any form of news regarding the ranking system except that there will be no 1-50 or an Arena styled system.

I'm just hoping that 343 doesn't make the same mistake as Bungie did with Halo Reach.

Well this is depressing... How about we chat about a lighter subject, like what your main starting weapon will be in Halo 4 MP! BR for life!

Actually light rifle, if it's a spawning weapon

Depending on the map size, I'll always be using a combination of BR/DMR/AR/Storm Rifle with the "overkill" perk.

In BTB, I will almost always be using DMR and Plasma Pistol. All of that may change though, depending on weapons we haven't seen yet.

SWAT is so terrible, I'll never understand why it's popular in Halo.

yeah SWAT is such a horrible hit and miss game type.

only playing it to get my challenges

It's bad enough shooting into people's domes in regular Halo and watching them not die off your final shot. SWAT is like that but even worse since they can just take you out.
I never really liked SWAT. Always have mixed feelings. I was conversing with a fellow teammate in the past and his only reason for getting Halo is just for SWAT... Odd and uncommon imo. But I do enjoy some SWATGUN. Good and Underrated.

I've actually thought about using a setup similar to that. DMR, stickies, and PP. BTB dominance achieved. The light rifle looks like a good weapon for me... Fell in love with it the moment Chief picked it up in that livestream. As long as it's headshot capable....

THREE MONTHS
That is neat to think about. In exactly 3 months, Halo 4 will be in my hand.

I wonder if it's a loadout weapon?

The light rifle sounds pretty powerful because it basically combines the strengths of the BR and DMR into one. 3 shot burst when unscoped (good for midrange) and single shot when scoped (for long range).

Not sure how this is going to be balanced in multiplayer but we know very little about the gun damage wise so who knows.

If its kill time is on par with the BR/DMR I can see this weapon becoming the new precision weapon of choice.

It could easily get fucked over by rate of fire or clip size though. Not to mention there's some ambiguity when taking people on with the DMR/BR; if you use something as flashy as the light rifle, it's going to be more obvious than the Sniper Rifle as to who and where you're getting shot from.

Yeah, there's a lot we don't know about the weapon. If it is a load out weapon, I'm assuming they will balance it somehow by giving it a drawback. You make a good point as well that, because it is a flashy weapon that shoots glowing projectiles, it may be easier to track where the shots are coming from which certainly would make it less desirable.

It's derived from gypsy. It's a common one that people don't really understand still they see it spelled.

Gypsy's are a race?

Ram: "Still haven't preordered this game."

Funny because I really haven't, heh.

Also, 3 months is still a long time. :( I was thinking the other day in the shower, the NFL season will be about halfway over with when Halo 4 hits, that's a long time from now. :P

Could Tunavi or Domino Theory confirm that Light Rifle is an only Ordinance Weapon?

So are we getting 15 primaries? We already know about six, what could the others be? I have a feeling that there will be some useless weapons.

Guys, we just saw an image be sent from another planet only minutes after a rover landed and we still have Waypoint lose it's link data half the time when you click on links to it.

FUCK YEAH SCIENCE.

For awhile I thought smh meant So Much Hate. It fit like every post that someone used it so I just assumed. Still kind of fits.

I love these real truths posts though.

Le sigh.

Never, ever liked the Laser.

I wasn't sure which of the several reasons in the image you could be sighing for until the edit.

That is the most correct sigh.

Edit: at least from that build, we now know it has a multiple of 2 as its max ammo. Would ideally like 2 shots total, but keeping Reach's 4 over returning to the original 5 is something.

Anyone ever find out why Select was removed from the Arena playlist but Uncaged is still there?
There's a broken piece within the map that can be exploited with two players using jet-pack. It's located on which if I remember correctly the red side of the map and in between a corner of the ramp that leads to the bottom lift and sniper spawn. Once they pass through this opening, they're able to get out of Select and there's no kill barriers or soft- kill barries to discourage players.
