Useless if they have no plan to let you transfer. Frankly there's too many issues with the XL for me to even risk an in-store transfer and trade. I want to get the XL home, use it a week, do the transfer, and then trade/sell it. Peace of mind.

So I preordered my 3DS XL at gamestop but now I am worried about whether they'll give me a hassle exchanging if the 3DS XL has a dead pixel (They didn't do an exchange for me when my DSi had one and I had to go through Nintendo). Should I be worried?
I forgot to ask them, but I plan on going back tomorrow, so I will ask then.

I asked my Gamestop and they said that they will let you do it right there on the spot.
That's impossible without Wi-Fi
Remember you need internet and about 40 minutes of your time for the whole ordeal.

I gently placed my regular 3ds in my ample pocket earlier for some steps/streetpasses and when I got home I noticed the right trigger was........unresponsive

I stopped caring about warmer screen after 30 minutes or so. Now I don't even remember why i hated it at first

That's going to take forever... 3G is painfully slow. My brother tried it with his phone, and after about 45 mins the transfer failed. I don't think he managed to get halfway through before it crapped out.
Thankfully, the guy at the store allowed him to take it home so that he could do it over wi-fi instead. It took about 15 mins before it was done.

Does New Egg ever ship preorder stuff out early to meet release dates? If not I guess it won't get shipped out until maybe Monday. I should get it by Thursday I guess, I got 3 day shipping.

Did they really fix the stupid glare on the XL's screen while playing? Pisses me off on the regular system.
Picked up the LL cradle today (1180 yen, 15 bucks). It feels like a bit of a ripoff buying the AC adapter and cradle separately, but now that I have them, all feels right in the world.
I've started to notice the poor quality of the speakers with DQIX sadly. Not too noticeable, but when you do notice it, you feel kind of sad.

Yeah Nintendo said a new anti glare tech they have been looking at for a long time finally became affordable so they put the new layer in. It is nice

Not sure how much the cradle will retail for in NA. My theory is $14.99. I grabbed it from Play-asia and it's costing me $25 shipped.
Also, there is a higher res Nicholson.gif floating around.
I got a vertical line of dead pixels for a split second as I was wiping the screen.
Hopefully it doesn't come back.
They haven't come back after three more hours of playing.
I don't understand them, but perhaps it was a quick glitch for touching the screen a little too hard? It didn't happen where I touched the screen though, and I didn't touch the screen that hard.
In any case, it'd be covered by the warranty I'm sure... I just don't like speaking Japanese on the phone (to call Nintendo of Japan).

Something about the way the high-res one is cropped and timed differently makes it less funny to me.
