I get it - send them here where there are checks and balances already in place. Good idea! They don't want people spamming the site.
Thanks Retro, was just curious.

That would be me
Win7 pro

AMD Phenom II x3 720 2.8ghz
Game is smooth as silk on my shitty PC
It makes no sense that I'm getting worse performance on a better rig.
That said, I haven't played since I updated to the 12.6 drivers. Hopefully that helps somewhat.
Pretty sure this is a Retro exclusive problem.
It's not going to happen, you should not expect it to be. Maybe in the months post release... but in a week... no you're falling into the same trap that people have before.
I honestly find all the races appealing aesthetically, i'll be rolling an Asura to start with purely for their wonderful animations.
I definitely wasn't sold on the Asura at first, but after playing one and seeing them in action I'll be playing one for sure. Hell, I've spent the last couple of days deciding whether I want to give up on my badass Charr Engineer and roll an Asura one instead... in the end though, I had to go with the Charr. He just looks too cool; http://i.imgur.com/LRBqF.jpg?1
Yes, it's beautiful, but am I the only one who thinks the game is poorly optimized/does not make good use of your GPU?
Yeah so is this actually confirmed and true or still a relic of the first BWE and just guesswork by players?
It always comes up again and I didn't see any actual confirmation of it.
I don't think there's anything in the rulebook for designing a game that says you can't have your processing done on BOTH the GPU and CPU. Honestly, I think this is ANet's way of making the game more accessible. As a result when you have one aspect higher than the other, it creates problems. I could be wrong but I don't think the game is going to do processing mostly on the GPU. I think it'll be split between the two.
What in the blue fuck am I reading.
So do warriors only get access to a total of 10 unique class unique skills at any given time? One for each set of equipped weapons?

A few other classes have a few skills that give another set of skills as well - Guardian Tomes for example. All other five skill slots (healing, 3x utility and elite) are choosen from a large pool of class unique abilities as well. They also get a Burst Skill for each weapon set. Otherwise, yeah, they work like all other classes except Engi and Ele. Not sure if you're seeing something different here.

Warriors have an elite which will change your five weapon skills, kinda like the Guards tome elites.
Ye there are too much skills on this game it's crazy. ^^
You left off the best part; it makes you grow into a giant juggernaut and lets you stomp people into paste.
can i then spread that paste on a piece of toast and eat it? cause that would be awesome
Zomg spoilers man!
Actually, I couldn't remember if you transformed or just got a flaming aura around you.
hey, I was bored and created a short compilation video of sPvP footage I recorded during the last stress test (Ranger/Mesmer/Necro)

What is home world guesting?
Guesting on a Home World
Sometime after the release of Guild Wars 2, we will introduce free "guesting, where players will be able to visit other worlds as guests as long as they have friends on those worlds. This feature will be free, but guest players will not be able to enter world-versus-world battles. In addition, the Power of the Mists bonuses from their home world will continue to apply to their characters.
Props for using the Mario & Zelda Big Band

You damn zergs! We're still the biggest guild on Stormbluff
That means we lead Stormbluff?
Sometime after release?
Should we all roll on Stormbluff then?
(for those 10k+ kill shots)
You aren't kidding. Note to self: if a warrior stops dead and aims their rifle push my Virtue of Courage button.

Well then they should really get to work on that /airplane emote. If that's not there, I will be extremely let down.Guild Wars 2 Lead Producer Chris Whiteside Doesn't Want To Let The Community Down

They're most likely saying sometime after release to cover themselves in case a bug crops up and they don't have it right away.

http://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9184I travel frequently. Will I be able to play Guild Wars 2?
Yes. The one-time verification system simply confirms that you have purchased the correct version of the game for your area of the world. Once that has been confirmed, you may play from any location you desire.

Oh shit. I bought my copy from GMG which has all its prices in USD but seems to be located in the UK with a UK support number.
I hope this doesn't screw me up on launch day.
My speeds vary A LOT while patching 5kb-1.5mb(not anywhere near my cap). So I was wondering if anyone has seen any info on what ports should be forwarded?
I didn't think the GW2 downloader was a P2P system (meaning ports really shouldn't be affecting you) - this leads me to believe it's a very common port that might be closed for your system if it really is a port issue.
Try opening all of your ports (for a short while) before the next update and then download, just to see if that is it or not.
