I still say that the only really fucked-up thing he's done was poisoning Brock, which was, admittedly, a dick move.

It'll take quite a bit more than that to get me off #TeamWalt. Luke Skywalker killed more innocent construction workers with one proton torpedo shot than Walt could hope to kill in 1000 years of selling meth.
 
The video is great but it only half "gets" Breaking Bad.


The first episodes were about a man taking back his life, his family, fighting to survive.

What it leaves out is what happened when Walt's symbolic triumph over the death sentence became a death sentence for others. The question this show answers quite brilliantly is "Once you've taken your life back, what else can you take?"

Luke didn't kill any construction workers, dummy, he blew up the Death Star that was already completed.
 
In the next episode, Walt feeds Mike a casserole consisting of his granddaughter's remains.

Puddles will argue that a man has to eat.
 
There's:

Skyler being incriminated
Walt's kids basically having their lives ruined
Walt paid for Hank's rehab
Walt is his brother in law (both sentimental and logistically it looks bad)

Plenty of reasons Hank finding out will only complicate things.

I do feel that people are too hard on the characters in this show. We like to think that we'd never stoop to such depths, but how can we know? Most of us have never been tested to anywhere near that degree. For example, how many of us can claim without any hesitation that we wouldn't have fucked Ted, if we found ourselves in the same situation that Skyler was in? Not many of us, I think.

To me, that's part of the beauty of the show. It lets you see viewers at their most self-righteous.

I swear to God if Walt winds up
arranging for Mike's arrest somehow to get rid of his influence and keep Jesse in the game
I will be so unhappy.

I'm also foolishly hoping that, whatever his plan is, Walt really can arrange an "everybody wins" scenario. Mike can retire and hang with his granddaughter, Jesse can hook back up with his girlfriend and peacefully raise Brock (until Walt somehow pulls him back into things) and Todd and Walt can go off into the sunset cooking meth together. I do think at this point Walt's cancer is probably back and he's just empire-building until death.

Guess you don't know that security versions don't have that release tab. Now Mike could have picked up his restraints at Home Depot but I doubt it.

The real problem is that he only did one hand, even though he knows Walter will do just about anything and has the brainpower to find a way if there is a way.

After sunday's episode I'm officially out of team Walt.

The way he manipulated Jesse at the diner in his house nailed it.

We've all been there. Trying to have a nice social gathering, and one person just gets WAY too drunk and ruins it.

I've actually been that person before, so I can't be too hard on SkySky. It's just never comfortable to watch.

Personally, I would be more surprised if he survives by the end of the season. I think the question is how he dies.

If You are worried about me being Psychic, than just stop reading... :)

Does he manage to build his empire and then the cancer gets him? Does he sacrifice himself (knowing that the cancer has returned and he was dead anyways) for the sake of his family? Does the DEA kill him after they find out he is the real Heizenberg? Does Mike or Jesse kill him?

There are so many outcomes (all highly plausible) involving Walt's death that it is pretty hard to believe he will survive the series finale.

Personally, I expect Walt sacrificing himself to save either His family, Hank and/or Jesse... It will ultimately lead to his redemption.
 
Probably late on this, but does anyone else think something important is going to happen with Walt's watch? It seems to get a decent amount of focus and it didn't seem like Walt was wearing it on his 52nd birthday. Kind of thinking it could be the lead up to Hank clueing in on Walt.
