Not particularly... the matchup is pretty important. I guess you could make a Street Fighter-like tier list for matchups in mid, but it'd be like a 50x50 grid if you cut out all the heroes that don't belong in a mid solo. Actually I might do this now, it kinda sounds like fun.

For a basic list of top-tier mids though, mine would probably look something like:
1. Invoker
1. Tinker

1. Shadow Demon
1. Templar Assassin
2. Obsidian Destroyer
2. Leshrac
2. Bane
3. Windrunner
3. Axe
3. Rubick
3. Lone Druid

Going off the top of my head though so I'm probably missing a bunch.

both destroyed by my shadowfiend LOL u bad

Does his head move in the animations? I could see some issues with his collar if he does.

I would taper it more as it gets towards the end. Right now it looks like its all one size diameter then poof, its at the end of the horn.
Yeah you're right, I've since shortened the length to reduce clipping by a whole lot! I've also tried to taper the end a bit more, hopefully it's more noticeable.

What program are you using Kamaki?
My main modeler is Maya, I use other programs depending on if I can get into uni or not :P By the way I tried adding you on steam the other day, i guess without anyway warning which is why I got totally declined! D:

Anyone create items for the dota 2 store here? I would like to learn how to do this with Maya preferably. I have been reading about requirements and cost before I jump in. I read that only 32 bit versions of Maya support the importing/exporting of valve files but I'm not sure which version to buy. 2013 seems like the one to go for but on the valve dev wiki it says that it only works with Maya 2012 and earlier.
You can get the plugins working but I'd personally say you shouldn't bother at this point, just make items for the heroes the put up here.

Anyway I've gone ahead and finished the horns and uploaded them to the workshop, click the image below to be whisked away! I'll be putting a video up later, looks pretty rad if I say so myself.

Is there a particular way to shut down KotL? Yeah, he has low HP and would be easily ganked, but he really doesn't need to be anywhere near enemies to do his thing. I've played him twice now, and he seems kinda OP. He's as good, if not a better pusher/counter-pusher than Tinker. Plus the free mana is great for all sorts of heroes.

I'd expect to see him picked at The International at least a few times.

Yup. He's definitely not easy to play. It seems like a lot of people expected him to be a better Riki.

I randomed him yesterday for the first. Now bearing in mind that I just started playing Dota on Friday then you'll realise that I was a bit shit. Luckily it was 3am and I was playing against bots because I was too tired for proper online.

Is there any good guides for jungling? I'm not sure what neutral are easy/medium/hard etc,

Speaking of degrees, in pt. 2 we’ll look at this secret weapon of Dota 2. The real reason people will sink hundreds of hours into it like coins into an arcade machine. It’s because you never stop learning.
Based on what I've played so far there's truth to this. Seems like every time I play I learn something new. Just last night I had my dozenth game or so playing Tinker and, although I'd known how you abuse Boots of Travel and Rearm, I hadn't realized just quite how powerful Boots, Rearm, Soul Ring, and March of the Machines was. We were losing with like a twenty kill disadvantage but for almost ten minutes I would just teleport, drop MotM, Rearm, use Soul Ring, drop another MotM, teleport back to base, Rearm, and do it all over again until our creeps were pounding on their base towers. We still lost but it was a blast.

Keep working on it! Good Tinkers are one of the most frightening things in dota, and one of the biggest comeback heroes in the game. Long tinker games are just exhausting though.

I've been thinking about restricting my hero pool so that I can work on learning some of my favorite heroes at a much higher level instead of just having a general capability in every hero like I have now. I'm at 1000 games now and I still only have one character with more than 20 games. Though at the same time I still love rediscovering characters I had dismissed as not my type of hero.

I'm constantly learning myself after having put in around 1400~ legit hours into Dota 2 and even more into Dota 1. Currently putting in a lot of effort to master my Lone Druid, he's my favorite carry hero at the moment.

The Tinker game you had to call in 10-man ganks to win your lane.
The Invoker game the lane was even or tipped in your favor. My Invoker is pretty shitty.

I haven't seen Nyx Assassin in a game for a while. Did people realize they were terrible with him?

Yup. He's definitely not easy to play. It seems like a lot of people expected him to be a better Riki.

I love playing Nyx mid, he really is a perfect ganker and sets your team up to win the early and mid-game laning phases. He falls off late game though, since he isn't a carry, and if teams counter his invis he is almost useless.

I like to start with stats/regen, then build bottle, null talisman, regular boots, urn, arcane boots, drum, dagon. Orchid, scythe, butterfly, etheral blade are situational.

I max his Impale and Spiked Carapace first, then his mana burn. Ultimate is picked up at 6, 11, 16.
