Dota 2 Beta Thread 2: Real Talk Discouraged [Magnus, Teams, 6.75b, 150+ Shop Items]

Wow, that's sooo many games tomorrow, I'll only be able to watch a couple!!

Are there any particular matchups that are expected to be the most interesting that I should make time for? (Although I might idle during the matches I don't have time to watch if I have that team's pennant.... >.>)
 
Sharky from MUFC managed to lose his passport in Hong Kong and is facing difficulties making it to TI.

"Firstly, about the visa issue. The team were unable to transit to Vancouver because they do not have a transit visa. The starting point of this issue was because we encountered some technical problem for our previous tickets. Thus we purchased new tickets with new routes for all of them. However, o ur team has been arranged to depart to Seattle via New York. The problem has fixed.

Second issue, rumors about Sharky. He lost his passport in Hong Kong and that's why he is going to be late for the tournament. Our management team is working with valve to do our best to send him to Seattle. However, the situation is still unforeseen.
We will update on Facebook about how the situation is progressing. Sorry for the troubles and we hope that the rumors could be ended.

I've been having problems with loading for the past couple of weeks I'm not sure which patch caused it but essentially when the game loads the map and after the grey loading box fades out I stay at the loading splash screen for an additional 3 mins if I start clicking about or minimise the game will crash without fail. I've defragged my hard drive and verify the game's files. I usually load a live game before searching just to make sure the map is loaded so as to not crash while in the queue and I always end up in games with 88mins played and it isn't the live game I clicked on but something else it also always sends me to the end game screen with the ancient destroyed like the picture below. Is this a known issue?

Down for me too now, but basically it came down too the fact that Sayuri lied to him plenty of times, he lent her a lot of money and she never paid him back ever, when he confronted her about it she kicked him out of the team.

Hey guys. I'm sure Emily has already told you her side as to why I'm not on the team anymore, but I first and foremost wanted to apologize to you guys for having being affected by our dispute and I wanted to get some facts out there in case there is any uncertainty. Earlier this year, Emily expressed her interest in becoming a professional Dota 2 player and her wish in getting sponsored. I decided to help her out and said that I would join her team. We had our earlier preliminary roster of her/me/Bdiz/Korok/PIG and we had received an invitation to DreamHack after she had talked to some officials. However, we didn't want to announce without the backing of a sponsor. So she talked around and managed to get SK interested in our team. She and I actually signed contracts with SK and said that all five contracts and stuff would be done within the week and that we would announce team SK and go to DreamHack with that roster. I waited a week and asked her about how the sponsorship was going, and she said that it wasn't taken care of yet. I later found out that Bdiz wasn't interested in playing competitive and that she had gone to ComeWithMe and Freezer (then a part of team Dignitas) to be part of our new roster. However, there was a conflict because CWM and Freezer were still on a team and bound under contract. Realizing that this jeopardized our contract with SK, Emily decided to approach team Dignitas instead, but they didn't have a response for her by the time the DreamHack officials wanted a response from us (they had given us a week). So instead of handling it appropriately and telling anybody the truth, she just didn't talk to anybody and let the whole situation go to hell. Dreamhack released the roster with CWM/Freezer and announced that we were sponsored as a team even though we hadn't figured anything out. Korok/PIG denied to their sponsor that they had any intentions of joining our team because SK and Dignitas were both pissed. SK was upset because we had gone behind their back without telling them anything and Dignitas wasn't happy because we tried to take their players without telling them. So after the SK & Dignitas fiasco, that team fell apart.
After most of those other players found new homes (PIG/Korok to Quantic, and CWM to Mouz), she had to look for new players. Miggel was kind enough to play with us and ended up being our third player. As everybody knows after that, we picked up Demise and Bonzajajaj. In the meantime, Emily had run into some financial issues. She had quit her job earlier in April/May in order to pursue DotA full time and had run out of money. She told me that her roommate had misplaced her cash and she needed money for rent (I later found out this was a lie, she simply didn't have any income). So in early June, I loaned her $$$ for rent and she promised to pay me back later that June. She found a job, but ended up quitting it two weeks later even though she had no source of income, citing that she thought that a Dota sponsor would be able to support her even though we were nowhere close to having a stable roster and a stable sponsor. Then in July, she had run out of money again, saying that she had no money to eat or to go to the LAN center to play our MTW match. I loaned her some more money and she promised that she would pay me back "asap."
Fast forward to a week ago. She told me that her lease on her current apartment expired shortly after TI2, and she asked to move in with me or if I wanted to move in with her. I told her that it was a bad idea given the amount of financial irresponsibility that she's shown (I've also lived with her before and knew that this was a bad idea if I expected her to contribute anything to rent/utilities. I had paid for absolutely EVERYTHING in our previous living arrangement.). So after denying her request, a few days later she told me that she was moving to Copenhagen and asked if I wanted to come with her. At first, I thought that this was some ridiculous joke, but after she showed that she was serious, I told her she was selfish and irresponsible for deciding to go to TI2 and deciding to go to Europe even though she couldn't afford food, rent, or pay her trusted friend back who had loaned her a decent amount of money. I told her she was a bad friend, and she exploded at me, insulted me, and removed me from all social media (Facebook, Skype, Steam, etc.) and removed me from the team.
I hope that this clears up any uncertainty and I'm sorry that things happened this way. I wish you guys the best and I still hope to remain friends with you guys and to play Dota with you guys as well. Best of luck, I'm always here if you need me or have any questions.

So I just realized something. With First Blood being one of the triggers for item drops, you may want to keep your camera on directed for the first few minutes of the game, as I'm pretty sure the directed camera always catches first blood. Kind of a little cheat.

Maybe make it soonish and just edit the rest in later. Only 19 hours and 38 mins left till the playoffs!
 
I wanted it up by last night, and have work in 30 minutes. Find milk and figure out whats up. If he doesn't get back to me before I get home, I will just have to make something my self, but I don't really have anything prepared.

I don't think it matters what it's in the thread at this point. As long as there is a thread to discuss TI2. Can always edit the rest in later on.

Most info is just on the main site anyway. A lot of people are coming in this thread already asking the same questions every 5 posts lol.
 
Guys I'm out in Berkley right now with some friends, I probably won't be home until Monday afternoon. So of someone wants to make a simple thread, go for it. Make sure you link to the spectator client and let people know they can watch in game for free, even if they haven't been invited to the beta. Thread doesn't have to be complex because the actual dota2 website had most of the important information.

Also Slark looks ducking perverted, what the hell
