I've been checking out several recordings of plane crashes. It's incredible haunting, but the worst thing is that 'woop woop' sound that starts playing seconds before every crash. Goddamn scary.

Who knows, we weren't there. But yeah, i would imagine putting the car in neutral and pulling the e-brake? Also doesn't putting the car in neutral and then turning the key just lock the engine up. I havent read into the story, but there had to of been a way. Unsettling stuff.

When panic sets in, it's hard to think clearly. Pretty sure you can't just hit the engine start/stop button when you're in motion (at least during the time this stuff all happened, Toyota may have changed that), but best thing to have done was shift the car into neutral. The car will start banging against rev-limiter, but at least it'll be taken out of gear. At that point, you should be able to brake normally.

But like I said, panic will take you out of your comfort zone. And if you're moving along at highway crusing speed (~70+ mph) and the pedal gets stuck, it doesn't take too long before you're past 100mph and towards 120mph.

I just listened to that 911 call. That one got me shook up more than the others. :|

I tried, but failed, at finding the recording of the Australian guy allegedly calling in to a radio show (Coast to Coast I think) from an psyche ward he was in. He talks about his car breaking down and this yeti/monster thing drags him into a cave filled with legs?

Probably a fake but the guy sounds utterly terrified and convinced this really happened, he gets progressively more and more frantic as he tells the story.

If anyone could find it that would be rad it's totally worth a listen.

I don't think that was the people being burned, I think it was the people being trampled/crushed at the exit, but yeah, that shit was nuts. I remember when that was all over the news.

I watched it late last night and it is one of the most gut wrenching things I've seen. Your watching a building with over 100 people still inside go up in flames. Terrible.

These crazy sounds from Kiev last year were awesome/haunting/terrifying. I remember a good number of people thought it was Mass Effect 3 viral marketing. Dunno if it was scraping metal, or something else, (or fake), but it was totally awesome either way.

This vid is pretty convincing. The sounds sound a lot like War of the Worlds (the newer one), but quieter. I'm actually quite surprised at how long the sound continues; certainly something that would scare the crap out of me if I were to hear it firsthand.

Also, Saturn makes radio waves. They're unpleasant.

That is really scary, actually. It's like it's screaming out.

Linked to it were the sounds of Neptune.. That one is completely different, and so peaceful. Equally as mysterious and haunting, however.

Good post. Man Jupiter sounds so calm and relaxing, Saturn was just pure hell. Sounds like high velocity wind with no matter obstructing its force.
