Really bad title should have kept te jli name. Also who is the guy with the gun next to Catwomen. It's is an interesting line up for sure but johns JL has been underwhelming so far.

O___________O there were rumors of another Justice League book....i dunno about this. Catwoman? Katana? I have to wiki who Vibe is.

Weird stuff. And another book where Stephanie Brown doesn't exist is :(

Also, Johns' isn't exactly knocking Justice League out of the park on a monthly basis, a second League book would be more exiting if were loving the first.

So this is their "Dark Avengers" period, eh? That makes this... Justice League Dark? Wait, that already exists... Dark Justice League? Justice League Black? Night of Justice?

I can't believe Johns managed to shoehorn Stargirl into that roster, she looks so out of place. Bright and sunny personality surrounded by scowling grimdark pinched faces.

I think that's Steve Trevor? Alive?

So something bad must happen to the Lion team, now it's time for the Car team to save us all.

I was going to say, no team with Stargirl in it can be considered "dark".

also...i'm probably buying it. Combo digital code version if possible :P

JOHNS! FINCH! JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA!

YESSSSSSS

well there is renewed focus and emphasis on the JL this time around. Not to mention how desperate WB seem to replicate the movie success.

Because they are the premiere team in their rebooted universe?

So much jaded negativity. I'm about done with comics forums. I'm starting to think it's better to read them in a vacuum and enjoy them without this kind of mess. The month ban was a kind of sanctuary.

Marvel NOW has all kinds of great ideas and I see so much "oh it will suck". Comics are wasted on the fans.

come on man, I was making an observation. There is a more concerted effort to expand the JL brand with multiple titles recently.

I hear you, brother. I think this particular forum still does okay, comics-wise. I think DC gets a little more flak just because they have demonstrably let a whole bunch of things spin out of control, quality and vision wise, but I think overall the tone is "Hey, what should I read, I heard it was good?" as opposed to "Have you read this shit? YUCK!"

But overall, yes, I left comics-based forums years ago.

Because Marvel NOW is a revamp done right. They aren't throwing out continuity and origins just for the sake of change, leaving hundreds of plotlines left dangling, and they seem very organized about it. They also seem to be giving all their creators plenty of room to tell the stories they want to tell unlike DC where its all editorially controlled now and they keep changing their mind month by month. There is a reason writers and artists are leaving DC in droves right now. It's sad and I say this as a hardcore DC fan.

There are so many shit ideas in Marvel NOW. Like cancelling the amazing Uncanny X-Force and Uncanny X-Men, Bendis writing the new flagship about the sloppy, whitebread, teenager originals, Daniel Way writing the new X-Force, Avengers controlling the X-Men school....

There's a pattern here.......

aw krypto dont bounce, its natural for most comic fans to fear and hate what they dont understand.

and people are jumping off cosmic marvel like a sinking ship. bendis and loeb in one overall community?

"Martian Manhunter is way cooler than Superman! And Catwoman is hotter than you! See? See?"

Or maybe Martian Manhunter shape changes into Wonder Woman.....

Batwoman 8-11: The book feels all over the place due to the fact that it is literally all over the place. Anytime each page reads " now, five months ago, ten minutes from now, five days from then, three hours from then from now" from character to character, my attention ticks a little down. But that's not enough to lose me. Almost a years worth of issues that accumulate to very little progression combined with JHWilliams' not drawing most of the issues is what does it.

I'm trying to figure out if Marvel double shipping has ruined my perspective on pacing, but DC feels infuriatingly slow all over the board. Or maybe it's that too much of the new 52 didn't have anything mapped out to begin with. One of the chief complaints to double shipping were the art rotations and *stares at the new 52* dc needs rotations just shipping monthly.

What?! When? Where?

The only thing I don't like about Marvel Now is X-Men getting shitted on.

Not shitted on, but completely massacred, torn to shreds, destroyed beyond any recognition, chewed up, swallowed and shat out and put through an incinerator. Daniel Way and Bendis......... man. Wtf.

What?! When? Where?

Idk, I thought it was confirmed but it might not have been yet. Daniel Way is taking over X-Force and Remender has some new stuff so that is what will most likely happen.

There is a 25% chance Bendis' All New X-Men is good. We need to remain cautiously positive while knowing SOMETHING of Marvel has to suffer in order for us to get Hickman on Avengers and New Avengers. Also hoping that New Avengers line-up is radically different/Academy/Runways stuff and not another place for Spidey and Wolverine to hang out.

Sadly, it's what sells books.

I can't stand Bendis anymore. I was a huge fanboy during Alias and his Daredevil run; then he lost it.
I think he has good ideas, but can't properly write them. He should be an editor or something, just throwing good marvel comics ideas out there so better writers can do them.

The only thing I can take away from internet forums is that people hate Johns and Bendis now because they are too popular. I wonder how long it will be before people start complaining about Snyder, Lemier, Hickman, and Gillen.

I don't hate Bendis. When he's good, he's great. Like his Daredevil and early Ultimate Spider-Man run, but both have been overshadowed by his years of bullshit Avengers stuff. I have no hope for All New X-Men because even Ultimate Spider-man has gone down the drain.

Hell, even his more recent street-level stuff is shit, like the clusterfuck that is Moon Knight and the disastrous Spider-Woman. I have no hope in anything Bendis writes now.

That arc was just poor all around. Reading it as a miniseries it might work better, but as single issues it's awful. It just tries to juggle too much when all I care about is JH Williams drawing double pagers.

Popularity does not bring dislike here in comicville from what i can see or from my own tastes. Bendis is disliked because his Avengers run consists of unremarkable filler stories along with some very bad events like Secret Invasion.

As far as Johns goes, he was my favorite writer for awhile and he was popular during that period ( action comics, green lantern, adventure comics, etc) and he still writes some good books even though Green Lantern got derailed after Blackest Night and Justice League hasn't gotten into its stride yet. Rafa will shed some brah tears if he leaves Aquaman.

I don't look at it as "they're canceling Uncanny X-Force." It would be one thing if UXF was a concept that could run for years and years and years but was cut down in its prime, but I don't see that as being the case here. UXF as a concept, the idea of a black-ops mutant kill squad, is something that was going to have to eventually end, and when it's over I'm willing to bet that it will be because Remender decided it's over, that he got to tell the story he wanted to.

They need to make a Liefeld Kills The Dc Universe limited series.
They did; it's called the New 52.

*ba-dum tssh* :p

So fucking right. That attitude is mind boggling to me. It's all Remender that book. He wants to move onto something else, why on Earth would anyone be against that or, even more mystifyingly, take it as a sign of creative bankruptcy on the part of Marvel NOW!.

"Sopranos is ending? HBO sucks."

"Breaking Bad is ending? Real creative, AMC."

Okayyyyyyyyyyy
yyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

All New X-Men and Jeph Loeb on Nova is the only thing I'm down about. Virtually everything else on Marvel NOW looks great on paper. I don't even mind Land on Iron Man and dig the new armor. Hickman on Avengers should be great as long as he can actually stay on for the long term, if not I fear he's going to seed a bunch of interesting things that never get the proper payoff.

Marvel and DC have both jumped the shark in the last few years..... DC decided they wanted the Big Shoulderpad era back

Then Marvel's current writers refuse to spend any time creating New Super Villians (because deep down they forgot how to write character motivation) so they have their Heroes conflicting with each other all the damn time.

Except that they're putting Daniel Way and the most pedestrian artist I can think of on it.

.

Sure, shit art and awful storytelling is something you definitely deserve, as a 'real fan'. I wouldn't count on most of those creative teams staying intact by book 4 anyway.
