? Why would Drogba want to leave, it was his dream to join Shenhua.

I remember hearing on the news around the time that Drogba signed that the team is in horrendous financial circumstances (the whole league's in the shitter corruption-wise and finance-wise).

No sympathy on my end but it would be nice to see those two come back to Europe. :D

They should turn the day Barton leaves England to go live in France into a national holiday of celebration

I'll wear my Barton shirt with pride.

I think the only ones who like Barton still are Newcastle fans.

I don't know how I feel about this.

Eh I don't really like him any more but his contributions to us during the 2010/2011 season were absolutely enormous. He truly was a fantastic player during that season. Our owners getting rid of him fucked him up completely which wasn't great considering he's a fucked up individual already. The booting out served to reignite the crazy in him, which subsequently saw his form dip massively.

Yep, Drogba still has it after that Bayern final, was immense in all the UCL games. Would help PSG aswell, as Menez is utter shit, that Bordeuax match, WTF.

I feel like Marseille is too good of a club for Barton considering his dip in form and terrible antics. I thought he'd end up in Scotland

I guess I should start watching Breaking Bad. I just finished Mad Men in about 2 weeks and need something new

I need to get back on Mad Men. Watched the first few episodes of the first season and it was very very interesting (I love that time period in the US). However I dunno, my mind kinda...wandered? Then I just stopped and moved on to Breaking Bad.

However, Dexter, The Walking Dead and Homeland start up again within the next 2 months so I dunno if I have the time to get in to another series from the beginning.

Srsly?

I stopped after the first series, it was terrible :lol

Am very happy that I've managed to avoid any spoilers for Breaking Bad :D

Yeah I stopped watching The Walking Dead after the 2nd episode, just not my thing.

Breaking Bad on the other hand, <3 awesomeness. Keep avoiding those spoilers, there are a lot of them out there.

I've done that with shows before, worst offender being the Wire. I watched the first 4 or so episodes on a plane ride and got really into it but haven't picked it back up since. It seems like something you really have to devote yourself to since it's so dense

One of the hitherto best parts of the comics is coming up next season. They'll still find a way to make it boring though. The pacing of that show is so awful.

Well, that certainly is a rather unprofessional thing for his team to have failed to do. Paying your players seems like a rather basic criterion for running a team.

Apparently (and I do believe this given his history) Ronaldinho is a big partier, showing up late to training and not giving 100%. Its shitty not to pay him but that might be the reason.

Was he like that when he first arrived at Barca or did his partying issues start when he first won the Balon D'or?

He was like that before he came to Barca and then he stopped. Then he got bored at Barca in his last yearish and started doing it again. From what I understand he did it in Milan also. He seems to party when he is bored. I think all the fame went to his head in Barca sadly. Such a great talent.

You have to admire that about C.Ronaldo and Messi. As talented as they are and with all the success they have achieved, they still work hard to improve and learn more. Ronaldinho let it all slip away and Barca got rid of him before he influenced Messi in the wrong way.

I remember a story that after Barça won a league title, Ronaldinho, Belletti and Deco came to Messi's house to pick him up to go partying, but were greeted by Messi's mother who told them he had already gone to bed. The contrast!

This. Especially, Ronaldo; for all the hate he gets he does a lot to keep himself in the best shape possible.

Shame, most entertaining player I've seen. The team when there was Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Messi, Deco, Xavi, Marquez, Puyol. That team was great to watch.

Miguel Delaney review of Week 2 in the PL and talks about Rooney and Nani possibly leaving.

Rumours of Gaitan starting to go around again, imagine we ended up signing him lol

Lets just wait a few years. Messi to have the body shape of Maradona and snort coke off transgendered hookers butts in Argentina when home on vacation, Ronaldo (the original) style. Then Ronaldo will finally be the best footballer, at least until Bebe gets his real breakthrough on the international scene.

Deco was fantastic back then, he slipped off around the same time as 'Dinho. Messi was so good but so different in a way. I always like watching this clip of Messi vs Juve in 2005(I think he was 16 or 17 there)

First time I watched Messi play was against Chelsea in the CL, all the hype was about Ronaldinho and how great he was playing. Messi was the best player that night and iirc, he got a Chelasea player sent off (Ferrera?) and was injured too.
