i honestly don't think City would buy Rooney. I don't think Mancini would be interested. Just as an aside, its the first time in 7 years Rooney has not been on the FIFA cover in any country in the world

Obviously his shine is glowing darker

I don't think they would be able to resist.

An 11-year-old Brazilian boy has earned a place at the Barcelona football team's summer training camp - despite being born without feet.

Gabriel Muniz was initially offered a place at the team's training academy in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro, after appearing on a popular sports programme in Brazil.

His story and skills inspired the club's managers and he was invited to the team's Spanish camp in September.

Daily Mail has a list of 10 players still available on a free. Craig Gordon, Marcus Hahnemann, Papa Bouba Diop, Nigel Reo-Coker, Ivan Klasnic... surely someone should grab them. If Gordon can stay injury free he's fantastic, and the last two could definitely do a job.

Also linking Spurs to Granero, which would be pretty good I think.

Klasnic is well worth a punt on a free, surprised nobody's snapped him up.

That's fantastic. Like Kharma says, the speed he moves is great. Hopefully he can make a big impact at a future paralympics or something, should be great motivation getting invited to the Barca training camp.

Would do a great job for a mid-table team; even Newcastle might be worth having a look at him as back up for the Demba Dembas

Klasnic on a free? Nobody tell Fergie. I don't think he could resist.

Pretty surprised though, he's looked like he can score goals if given the chances.

The Jojo dream is over and I'm gutted. You could've been our new Del Piero. We would have made a legend out of you, Stevan. Alas, it was not meant to be. :( Enjoy your last season with Fiorentina and then you're off to PSG, Barca, Real, City, Chelsea, wherever. A dream is shattered, a new one begins. Welcome back, Borriello.

It's nice and everything but what's the point? It's just going to give the boy false hope that he can be a professional footballer, when he most likely can't. It's great determination and character from him to learn to play football as well as he can without feet, but it's going a bit far to suggest he could have a career in football, let alone at Barcelona.

Why do Arnie and Hixx have the same avatar?

oh snap

Would prefer to give the youth a chance.

True, but if you can get a natural goalscorer like Klasnic for free and on relatively cheap wages then its worth a punt.

Apologies but this post is hilarious.

If Juve's big striker signing is Borriello I'll poop a turkey

Stop saying that every good player your club signs is gonna be a legend. Please its annoying.

I was really confused because I thought you were responding to Zab and talking about Jovetic :lol

Dementor.

I'd have Klasnic at Newcastle. No harm and it's not like we'll buy a viable and young 3rd choice striker now. Klasnic would be a low-risk option.

ahaha
You will make an excellent parent some day.

Last 2 episodes of Breaking Bad S3 were AMAZING.

We need to see how Adam Campbell does. He has the pace and finishing ability of a 17 year old Michael Owen. Put him in those cup games asap!

I don't remember anyone saying anything of the sort? Well, maybe for RVP, but that would've been hard, given his age. Jojo would've taken Del Piero's, Baggio's and Platini's jersey. At 22. Excuuuuuse me for stating the obvious. Also, Jovetić isn't just good. He's great. Also, Bebe sucks.

Going to watch the pilot episode of Breaking Bad. This better be good! I'm expecting The Wire levels of awesome here.

I'm gonna say it, watching The Wire at the minute and it's alright, pretty good at times but not seeing what the hype is about.

As for Breaking Bad, it's a slow starter and takes a while to pick up.

Where are you in The Wire? Took me like 10 episodes to say 'yeah this is fucking incredible'

Which episode are you on? I ask because The Wire takes a handful to get going.

edit: damn you wilbs

If you finished season 1 but didn't get the hype then it's fair to say it may not be the show for you.

Of course it might also be the thing where you were searching too hard for something to like and it'll be later on down the line that you realize how great it was and go back again to watch it and then fall in love.

Rooney top scorer of last season for Man United

Man United fans question his desire

---

Silly Man United fans.
I don't think any proper fan is questioning his desire, I just want him to emulate Tevez and get himself fit, it will help him anyway. There's a reason why Rooney starts slow, he gets fitter as the season goes on. Same for Anderson.

Just keep Anderson's Greggs Pasties away from Rooney.

I didn't like the dock people.

I liked it. It's a great window into a piece of American culture that's slowly being pushed out into the fringes of society as unspecialized, manual labor becomes less and less required.

My favorite line from the whole show is from Frank Sobatka:

“We used to make shit in this country – build shit. Now we just put our hand in the next guy's pocket.”

How did I miss this. Regarding Ramsey and RVP.
D ‏@AFCAMDEN
They came to blows after City home last season "@Sunny_AFC:@AFCAMDEN One player who will benefit from RVP leaving is Ramsey.
D ‏@AFCAMDEN
It was because Ramsey didn't square it to him in the last minute and blazed it over. Simmered from the Everton match. RvP was "adamant' that
AFCAMDEN
"Assists were just as important as goals" to him and he was giving Rambo a hard time for missing chances when he set him up.

Gerrard was on SSN there saying he thinks he can still win the league. I eagerly await Salazar's verbose take on the matter.

How old is Gerrard, 32?

I suppose if Lampard is still going he's got a few years left. Lampard always struck me as the more intelligent player though, Gerrard's always been a dynamic player.

Udinese - Braga return match tonight. The battle for CL. Should be intense!

Also, Maribor - Dinamo Zagreb. If Maribor pass, it would be the first slovenian team in CL in ... I don't know how long. A decade, at least. Dajmo naši!

It's a step up from Carragher putting Dalglish up there with Shankly, Busby, Clough, and Ferguson as a manager.

Still bollocks of the highest order, though. Liverpool never disappoint in that respect.

I dreamt about Copenhagen going through tonight, scored a counter and while Lille went up 2-1 we still held on and got it because of the away goal. Then I woke up and hated everything realizing it what I had just experienced wasn't real.

Well, at least Palerm... Nevermind.

Speaking of which, Juve and Palermo are supposedly meeting for Ziegler today. Would be a good buy for Palermo. He's no Balzaretti, but still pretty decent/good.
