Coz Liverpool can't afford them

If he's sticking to a 3, then Lescott, Kompany, Zabaleta with Richards, Savic/Nasta as cover and Clichy/Kolarov as wingbacks. Seems odd though.

Savic is off apparently in Nasta deal.

I can't see how he can be so sure on 3-5-2 working that he's ready to buy a player on £100k salary and shit on previous fan favourites (actually good players).

Zabaleta as CB is also a ridiculous long-term solution.

All these QPR signings/rumours are crazy. They seem completely random. They'd be completely screwed if they got relegated, right?

Guys. #basedmarwood does not panic buy.

People laughed at us when we signed Vieira. But the experience he passed on to the other players was unmeasurable. Same with Stuart Taylor.

Richards could be one of three central defenders, but his positional awareness has been so weird even for a right back. Rather unproven as CB too.

Yeah I meant Savic or Nasta, but I forgot about Kolo as well actually.

It's a poor long term decision but he's a solid enough player to do a job there while Savic or Nasta come to terms with things; for the latter his inexperience in the league, for the former his lack of ability and understanding that he's potentially the worst defender since Luis Suarez's legal team

The reward for staying i the Premier League this year is huge. Their idea is you have to try and that means spending like wildfire.

Didn't they also increase the amount you get as a "saving package" when you get relegated? Like £20m or something.

Kolo is barely worth remembering... bah. He's in such a weird position atm with ending contract, insane salary and lower ability.

And uh, please tell us what experience Sinclair will pass on to the other players? A reminder that you can make money by NOT doing anything?

Maicon
Sinclair
Rodwell
Nastasic

I can understand the signings of Nastasic and Rodwell. They're young players with a lot potential. But Sinclair and Maicon are just baffling to me. One is a decent winger who will never be a regular and the other is a 31 year old who probably only has a few good years left.

Maybe they spent all summer trying to find a promising right back and ended up with nothing, saying just "heck with it" and signed a proven CL defender? As you say, he has a few good years in him and he cost basically nothing. The salary will be high but maybe he can be worth it (lol).

Mancini has been wanting a fast winger for years. I almost prefer Sinclair over Walcott. Walcott would take higher wages and wouldn't accept bench. He's also home grown so that's good and is familiar with the league, compared to let's say finding someone abroad.

The new Wayne Bridge.

He will probably be happy just collecting a paycheck.

Sinclair will probably play some this season, not being another Bridge. Johnson started 18 matches last season, and was subbed on for 23. Sinclair is his direct replacement.

Plus, last season City had very few injuries, so he might even play more than Johnson if City are more unlucky this season. It's not like there is another good winger in the squad to take his place anyway.

He might even score some goals. I mean, he's fast and he has Tevez, Aguero, Silva and Nasri around him. Just make some runs and the ball will come to you.

Scudamore told clubs to invest the increase in club facilities and youth rather than wages....
Would be nice and idealistic if that actually happened.

Uh-oh tottenham might have some competition when it comes to training grounds now, players might not want to go there anymore

Jeez, including the money teams in the PL get for the final position (from tv-rights?), that's more than the entire Dutch League earns together...

Getting close to the CL draw, I'm pretty sure we'll find PSG in our group. When we sold Kakà we had Real Madrid in our group and Inter found Barcelona in theirs when they sold Ibrahimovic.

Milan, PSG, Valencia and Celtic. I'm sure as hell.
We'll end up on the 3rd place, of course

FUCK

Younes Kaboul is out for 4 months. What a damn shame, he was immense last season. No way Dawson leaves now, we need him.

Bendtner isn't bad. He's a cock but he's not a bad striker. He's done at least decently everywhere he's played except Arsenal.
Strikers Juventus have been associated with over the last few years: Aguero, Dzeko, Van Persie, Vucinic, Cavani, Jovetic, Damiao, Llorente, Berbatov...

Now we're going to buy Nicklas fucking Bendtner.

Ohhh this could actually be a fun game!

Let's list all the strikers Juventus has ever been linked to but have not signed. I'll add to Shake's list:

Aguero
Dzeko
Van Persie
Vucinic
Cavani
Jovetic
Damiao
Llorente
Berbatov
Pazzini
Giuseppe Rossi (don't forget the whole saga with him!)
Suarez
Di Natale
Cardozo
Lewandowski
Barrios
Drogba

and all I got was Nicklas Bendtner.

Edit: remembered more :P

Another game. For your team, name who you think will leave and who will join before the end of the window and then we'll look back and laugh on them all on Saturday morning before the games start. Not ALL rumours, just those you think will actually complete a move.
