Spurs are a great choice for an American to follow due to the fact that they're London-based which gives you a really good chance to maybe see them in person one day. My buddy (Agent Dormer) has recently adopted them since he's decided to follow the PL this season. Helluva day for Spurs fans old and new.
I'm surprised they didn't snatch him up at that. When other clubs got a sniff at that deal I'm not surprised they made a move.

If he signs his contract he will, I am almost certain of it. It won't be all the time though, majority of his game time will be on the wing.

Why would be prefer going to Liverpool over Spurs?
I see just as many Dempsey fans as I do Donovan fans around, but then again, there isn't much else as far as talent goes for the US.
Think Dempsey wanted to go to a club that had lots of history behind it. Liverpool is still one of the most well known and supported clubs around the world.
Anyway, I can see Roman coming up with a crazy crazy bid for Falcao after this performance.

Well there's rumours going round that Fulham massively upped their asking price for us over what they agreed with Villa, so we told them to do one. If that is indeed true then I don't really blame us for that, but I do think we should have had other targets lined up and ready to go in place of Dempsey.
He just wanted to play on a bigger stage than Fulham and Liverpool seemingly gave him the best chance to do it. Spurs have a great chance at making the CL this season so this will end up working out much better for him.
