The beginning of next year starts out as Hank confronts Walt next to the pool.
Walt denies it, and becomes very offended.
The two stare at each other for about a minute when suddenly, Holly says her first words.
"I ****ed Ted."
Title sequence
I LOL'd but that is sick! couldn't it be "Mama........... FUCKED TED!"
I think what would really get to Walter White is if Walt Jr. and his friend have been going out and shooting up meth. Ever notice the kid ALWAYS wears long sleeves? it is hot where they live. The kid has been shooting meth mixed with heroin, at that one house Walt had to go get Jesse at
Fuck.
This is going to be the longest wait for a shit to finish in my entire life.
The pain will consume my body and soul and torture me in the throes of purgatory till next summer.
FUCK.
CHEKOV'S GUN FINALLY WENT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That shit was smart on their end though. Like for real. It was something that Walt definitely had, and the connection made with it was just plain incredible. I wonder how Walt will get out of it though. They honestly haven't got shit on him evidence-wise outside of that book, but THAT BOOK is soooo damn incriminating. FUCK.
shoot meth? what?
How does he get out of it with his new partners? What about the Czech republic thing? I personally think Lydia has snitched, or is recording the conversations and transactions as her leverage, and when they get that its over. Cooking is one thing but mailing that stuff to another country is FBI/Interpol territory.
If its nothing like that why the hell did they even add that? it was a lot of wasted time for this episode
So many unanswered questions, and 8 episodes left. One thing I really love about this show is that I literally have no idea where it's headed next. Shit is magical. I'm really intrigued on all of that too. There's so much waiting to blow up on him, but for all we know, it could be dismissed quickly like nothing even happened (I mean, I don't think it will, but think of the possibilities!).
I believe was in there to show that even without a reliable team to distribute, he was able to make his own. He was clever enough to stay his own boss. Kinda like how Lidia/Lydia mentioned that Gus Fring built his empire from scratch and how they had all the plans ready to implement with Fring, Walt and Todd both were able to become "Mike and the 9 Guys", and overall fill that void and let everything still go according to plan.
I think it was to show that he truly became self-sufficient (as far as he can in being his own boss that is), and was finally able to wear the pants in the business, IMO. Which is all he's been trying to do since the Fring stuff; be free, be in charge.
yes IVing meth, he never wears short sleeves, hes always going to hang out with his buddy and driving really fast do the math
Meth dissolves almost instantly in water, and a lot of users prefer the rush. I never liked smoking meth when I used to do it, I would always inject it myself.. The rush is stronger than heroin and lasts about 10 hours while a heroin rush lasts a short while compared. A LOT of meth users IV it. like Jesses junkie girlfriend remember her say "add meth" when she brought home the heroin for them.
Of course.shoot meth? what?
If you notice he was going to Ricin her, but she became another means of distrobution so he kept her alive. I think she knew she was going to get killed if she didn't bring up that plan. But also he could of added the ricin anyway, and kept another dose for later in the vial. He did comment asking if she thought he would just kill her in the cafe? well he might have! there is no time frame for the episode to know if she was poisoned and will be getting sick soon
Oh man, sorry, but this made me laugh out loud. Yes, that is the reason. Is there a reason they are making us wait a year? I never read an explanation for that one... Maybe they finished up filming the episodes of him bald, and are waiting for his hair to grow(his hair might grow crazy slow like mine.) But they already showed him with hair which I think they did while the show was off the air and he had his hair longer for another show/movie or just used a wig.
Also Lydia (Laura Fraser)
Laura Fraser IMDB.com
Currently looking for her nudes, because if they show Anne Hathaway nude i'm sure Lydia nude somewhere
I am in lone with her for her speaking german(turn on!), and what she does with her lips when she is panicking(i'm a creep i know)
Ah man that was sooo goood.
The murder montage was goddamn brutal, but i freaking loved it.
Anyways the wait begins.....
Here's how I now see Season 5b going down:
- Walt uses his leverage against Hank to get him into witness protection
- Walt doesn't indict Skyler, mostly so the kids will still have their mother
- In New Hampshire, Walt gets word that Declan has kidnapped Jesse and forced him to cook in Walt's place
- Walt returns with M60, lays waste and rescues Jesse
- Todd gets bit by that spider
- Junior wants breakfast

While this would be cool, I have yet to actually ever see any predictions (outside of the obvious Hank has to find out sometime) not get mercilessly slaughtered (especially mine!!!). It's the one show I have yet to ever see be successfully predicted by anyone in any kind of consistent manner. Here's how I now see Season 5b going down:

I thought the flashback was really fitting to be honest. It added to the tension and the whole "holy shit" feel to it all. Maybe that's just me though.....Episode was perfect except for the totally unnecessary flashback at the end - you can't even argue it's for people who didn't see S4 because they wouldn't know who "GB" refers to anyway. Would've been better to see Hank open the book, read the note, and then have that expression.
A+ season, Breaking Bad beat out its year's respective Mad Men season for the first time.

Has this thread discussed whether the episode should have ended with Walt's "you got me"? On the one hand, I think that would be absolutely perfect (I'm even tempted to edit out the final shot myself!), but on the other hand, for first-time viewers, I guess Hank's final reaction shot is important.

I honestly can say that I have no idea where Jesse's character is going to go from here.
And for that matter, I don't know what will happen with Todd.

Can't wait for Hank to destroy Walt and everything he stands for.
You think he'll destroy himself in the process?
Walt will spin it that Hank was his inside man and the reason he paid his medical bills etc. is because of that.

I have no memory of that book, or W.W., or any of that flashback whatsoever.
Hank's face man. Just the look on his face and the fact that he doesn't have shit on Walt aside from the book. There was so much weight in that moment. SO MUCH.
Also, it was an incredible way to release the UNBEARABLE tension that had building up that last 5 minutes. I was almost in pain from the horribleness I was waiting to happen. Also, well, you know, that dark humor the show is so great at.
You don't remember the flashback? That scene stuck out the first time I saw it.I have no memory of that book, or W.W., or any of that flashback whatsoever.
