I think somebody posted a video of him earlier in this thread. He was pretending to cut your hair. Very interesting.

It's so embarrassing. People will be right next to me and I literally can't understand a word they're saying. I went to a doctor and was told that nothing's wrong, but I'm looking to get a second opinion soon.I am not alone!
I'm partially deaf in my right ear...I am not alone!

Yeah. I feel bad about it.
I have to ask constantly "Sorry, but what did you just say?" or "I'm sorry, I didn't understand, can you repeat it?"... sometimes I just nod like I got what they are saying, because I don't want to ask AGAIN what people said.
I do the same thing, and it gets to the point where people are repeating themselves three or four times and I feel so dumb. I've been trying to use the context of the conversation to figure things out, but that's not always easy. It's strange, because I actually have fairly good hearing when it comes to things that are being said far off, and if I wanted to, it wouldn't be too hard for me to eavesdrop. Every now and then though, somebody will be talking to me and I'll have no idea what they're saying.Yeah. I feel bad about it.

what is ASMR?
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a physical sensation characterized by a pleasurable tingling that typically begins in the head and scalp, and often moves down the spine and through the limbs.
It all makes sense.I am not alone!
Still doesn't explain you.It all makes sense.
It all makes sense.
Well, since I finally made a facebook. I think linking this would be a worthy first post.
That's because the word "nice" isn't in your vocabulary. That's the only way I can be explained.No. In general, there's no explanation for you. ( ´_ゝ`)
Finally got a job. Finally finally finally.
Congrats man! I'm still applying for every job I can get but no such luck yet. Being unemployed sucks![]()
I have no idea why my hearing's become so bad, but it only started in the past two or three years, and it's on and off too. I don't think it's a problem with focusing though, unless I've lost the ability to manually concentrate. How is that you guys have loss of hearing in your ears? Is this just the way it has always been or did something happen?
I personally have permanent ringing in my ears that never goes away. Its really only noticeable to me when its dead silent and im trying to sleep, but its a noise that lulls me to sleep now. Not as bad as hearing loss.

The same as vision: hearing quality deteriorates with time and the auditory system can also get easily damaged over time.
Some people are more prone than others, so they experiment it at early ages.
In my case I was either born with it or it happened as an infant. Apparently as a newborn I had a pretty bad fever and this can cause hearing loss? I've gotten MRIs and such in the past but they didn't provide any clues as to what happened, or indications of a problem that could be fixed.
funny, a couple of years ago it was cool for a school kids to use a ringtone that was really high pitched and most older people couldn't hear it anymore due to the normal hearing loss. thankfully, i can still hear that at my age, but it's as annoying as fuck.
And I gots my haircut, ill post it since I posted an ugly shaggster pic yesterday.

Yes, that can do it. Things like ear infections, whereas not that serious in adults, can be devastating for infants and cause irreparable damageI had a friend in Kindergarten who had to use hearing aids afterwards.

Thanks duders. Unemployment does suck, but hang in there. Ironically I was trying all summer to find work (applied for somewhere around 57 jobs in two cities) and now only after coming back to school have I finally been able to get something. So you never know! 57th time was the charm I guess.
It's not much, just a couple of shifts a week at a smoothie shop, but I'm happy. Also waiting on a potential second job picking up another couple of shifts a week at my university's call centre...fingers crossed.
Edit; Roadie, you look like a mix between two good friends of mine and it's tripping me out.
Maybe im their son!? And grats on the job... yeesh @ 57. But now you're gunna be rolling in dough (maybe?)
It was nice knowing you. Congrats on becoming a big wig. Thanks! Just got an email from the call centre and it looks like I'll be working there too. Stoked.
