I love all the RE games! I've played 'em already!

But last time I was playing RE:DC the loads felt a bit long just to run a few steps and then load again...

I'm likely going to run through them all again anyway... I was just wondering if doing it on the Vita would have any benefit. I'd heard mention of faster loading for some games, but didn't really know anything about it.

Well I hear fast loading does help RE2. So maybe it does RE3 as well? If you have a DS RE DS lets you skip load times completely.

Coming from playing FF7 via remote play before, it looks a lot more sharp and less washed out running on the actual emulator. I don't think you should expect much of a difference visually other than that though.
 
Guys i just downloaded metal gear solid 1 onto my ps3 and when i try copying to my vita it copies and then gives error " could to copy some content items". Have tried several times..any ideas?

Do you have the copy bubble on your PS3? You can also try it directly from the PSN on Vita now, according to some people here. You'd need to find it on your search history, though.

From what i've played, it's an amazing looking 2.5d platformer with some very straightforward mechanics, his attack picks up the enemies and you can throw them or use them to double jump to higher places. I was also surprised that this game has some sort of narritive driven story that fits nicely. Oh and the music is great too, really sets the chill atmosphere.

No, all I have on my ps3 is the connection page that says all copying and other functions should be done from the vita and I've also looked at my download history on the vita and metal gear solid 1 is there but it says it cannot be downloaded on the vita..

Check the first page tutorial. You have to have Metal Gear Solid downloaded to your PS3 in that bubble state, or whatever you'd call it.

If you don't have this on your PS3, you can't install the game from the PS3 onto your Vita.

yes, I have the game in bubble state on my ps3 and followed the tutorial but still no go, i sometimes get connection timeouts to the ps3 itself..I'll try another ps1 game, maybe metal gear is corrupted.
 
Turns out the metal gear download was corrupt. Downloaded it on the ps3 again and it transferred to the vita first try. Would help others if this can be added to the OP as well as the info that you can switch to full screen for ps1 games on vita by pressing and holding the screen for 2-3 seconds until the menu comes up.
 
So what's the deal with Chrono Cross? I've wanted to play this damn game for 10+ years. Is it compatible in other places? What is the technical reason for some games not working yet?
 
so, i updated my ps3 last night cuz i wanted to download a ps1 game
after i installed it(to the ps3) the bubble stayed. did they update the ps3 firmware to leave the bubbles even after you install because of the vita or something?

Yes, the bubbles stay now.

Yes. Anything that can also be transferred to another device will stay on the XMB until you manually delete it. Anything that can't be transferred (PS3-only items) will be deleted automatically once you install it.
 
Other than Arc the Lad III and FFV pretty much all the RPGs are working. I guess I have stuff to hold me over until Dragon Warrior VII (hopefully!) comes out.
 
Accidentally bought FFVI the other day by mistaking it for VIII because I was sleepy when bought and both have white and red on the cover.

I transferred my saves to the Vita and compared the visuals of both of them while on 40" TV and Vita. The colors on the Vita, thanks to the OLED, really do look a lot nicer. It's richer in color, and looks so good with the filtering off.

However, the load times for menus are much better on PS3 than PSVita.

It is compatible in Japan. I have no idea why it isn't up in the US or EU.
 
Thinking about getting Arc the Lad, how is it and what am I in for? Not really big on SRPG's so hows the battle system in term of complexity/speed? Thank you in advance.

The first thing you need to know about Arc the Lad is that it's a really short game. It's only about eight hours long. It's more of a prologue to Arc the Lad 2. If you're going to play Arc 1, you NEED to play Arc 2 and vice versa.

The battle system is really simple. It's not a very complex system and it's fairly easy. Other than one or two battles, it's not a hard game.
 
So my main PSN account is my UK one, but since all our PS1 games are running in 50hz, and should be scorched from the face of the Earth, I buy all my PS1 games through my US account.

Is there a way I can get them on my Vita?

Never. Not on PSX, not on PSN. We missed out on quite a few gems back in the day (including Xenogears, Parasite Eve, FF Tactics, Legend of Mana and the Lunar games).
I imported it back then, so I at least got to play it.

Too bad the only one that remotely interests me is One, and I suspect that hasn't really aged all that well anyway. Well, I've got plenty I've been wanting to play through anyway like Alundra and Arc the Lad, so it's really not a big deal yet.
