Can you not just create your new Verizon account tomorrow and pre-order the iPhone as your starting device? It doesn't seem that complicated to me.

Just whatever happens, remember to end the at&t one AFTER you're set.
 
Hard to believe the conference will be over in less than 24 hours. And then the inevitable backlash will begin for the next 2 weeks.

Feels like it's still far away. Sucks I'll be in a class from 11 - 2.

When switching carriers the new carriers will ask the old carrier for the phone number in order to transfer it. If you cancel the ATT on your own behalf you might lose your phone number.

Is the undo function improved and easier to use in iOS 6? Because if it isn't they should just cancel the event tomorrow, dissolve the company and liquidate their assets, returning the money to their shareholders. I feel that would be the appropriate response for this gross oversight.


I don't think it will be called iPhone 5 because technically this will be the 6th iPhone going along with the 6th version of their OS. Next generation iPhone or "new iPhone" are far more likely.

Looking forward to any announcements regarding GameCenter.
 
Why is the top bezel so friggin huge? Seems like a waste of space. Would look so much better is it was slimmed down, either by simply making it smaller and taking away from the overall size, or by increasing the screen size so it's taller and taking up more of the overall phone.

It's like the 4G thing. Or any one of the many features iPhones include so much later than other phones. It only makes sense.

I think Steve would have done it by now. May he rest in peace.

I haven't seen him being particularly negative about Apple stuff. Your posts are readable by anyone on here - he was probably responding because your posts about record-breaking sales, customer satisfaction, legendary build quality and mocking, hubristic journos being proven wrong made you sound like a paid PR bot.

relax, it's ok if someone is allowed to a negative opinion on something related to Apple. I have a shit ton of Apple products myself, I'm pretty much knee deep in the Apple eco system, but when I say something negative about Apple I get called a troll

Regarding Foxconn, implying Apple doesnt care and has done nothing about the labour situation, although all the facts show that Apple in fact is doing the most out of any company that deals with Foxconn, with real monthly reports to prove it, and based on real, positive changes the FLA has announced that Apple has implemented. Consequently, its the 1st time in history a tech company hires such an independant body for an audit, not to mention gives full access to factories to media etc. He pushes false meme that Apple doesn't care and has done nothing, which is a blatantly lie, looking at the actual facts and reality compared to everyone else. Fucks given about Samsung's labor situation, in which they OWN their own factories: Zero. Shocking! Objectivity at work here folks.
(you can wiki Samsung to see how much influence they have, and how many industries they control- they even have a weapons division for Christs sakes, since we're talking about 'influence', the bullshit qualifier that he uses)

Oh wait, nevermind, that didn't exist. That was just the first page, which includes negative comments and spite on every aspect of the company and not a single positive one. I didn't pick and choose. If I kept going past the 1st page the number would have no doubt gotten to double and triple digits, with the top # remaining as is. Yet this is someone who will pretend to be open-minded about what will be shown off tomorrow, and not that he's already made up his mind about what he will say and how "dissapointed" he will be. He's attacked me constantly in this thread, and when confronted pretends to be a neutral observer who owns 28,293,023 Apple products. If this isn't the definition of a troll, what is? Is he forced to like Apple? No. But if he doesn't, why post incessantly in this particular thread? Yet people paint me as a fanatic, who happens to be posting in a thread about an upcoming keynote from a company I like, and products I'm excited about? Ok.

I can't stand the top and bottom bezel being as large as they are with respect to screen size, either, but its needed for surface area to shove all the megahertz inside while maintaining a slim profile.


Edit: holy shit paradox. For someone who hates apple thread shitting, you sure as hell aren't helping duder. Let it go man. Let it go.

Yeah, the front has little reason to change ever, plus it's a rather iconic part of the phone - 3:2, 3.5inch screen large top and bottom frame with rounded corners, with a small round indented button with a white outline of an app. The OG, 3G and 3GS all had the exact same front panel, 4/4S had a very minor addition of the front facing camera, and the 5 is the most radical change to the front of the iPhone ever. New 16:9 screen, smaller frame, smaller home button, new camera/sensor/speaker layout.

It is likely just as disadvantageous for Apple to make an iPhone that doesn't look like an iPhone, as it is for Chevrolet to make a Corvette that doesn't look like a Corvette. It is smart to stick to what is known to work.
 
Damn, I sure wish the event was held 7 hours ago instead of 17 hours time from now. I'm at home waiting for people to come do some compulsory bullshit fire safety test. I could be checking out everything now instead of having to do it at work tomorrow.

That's all I wanted to do, and as I said, will be my last word on the matter. I just feel the need to call people out on their bullshit once in a while based on facts, when they deny it. Instead of people saying 'HOLY SHIT', I hope instead they actually read the content and realize that I've more than backed up my sentiment.

It's the equivalent of I'm not racist I have a black friend / I own a bunch of Apple products but I hate everything about the company and will tirelessly tell you how much everything they bring out sucks
 
We fairly sure it will launch next Friday then? My Droid X is on its last legs.

Also, I wont be around a Best Buy if pre-orders are this Friday. Anyone have experience ordering online through Verizon through Best Buy? They just ship you the phone, or can you do in store pick up?

But the whole of the back of the phone is different. 3G/S and 4 both use the same design from the front.
