Imagine the outrage if someone likes Atlus decides to go WiiU exclusive.
I can't wait to see the Persona 5 betrayalton thread.

On further thought, maybe Xenoblade sequel or Last Story follow up exclusive to a different platform could elicit a reaction.
Meh. The market is self-correcting and there's always PC.
Although on further thought, probably one "standard" with multiple vendors would serve better. Like with other hardware.

Still not interested in a WiiU.

Microsoft also has Xbox Live. You can predict that PSN will catch up to it next gen, but I have a feeling that they'll only catch up to where XBL is now, not where XBL will be. I think that's been the main attraction to the 360 over the PS3 for some time now.
I'm aware of that. I'm simply saying that they're the few titles I can imagine people actually caring about if they were "stolen."What other platform? Monolithsoth is 2nd party to Nintendo
As already stated, not unless the expectation is for Nintendo to moneyhat everything.Would acquiring Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive not be a first step in the right direction?

Truth be told it was a big reason but PSN+ does some really cool stuff XBL doesn't do and XBL has been rather stagnant. What holds back the PS3 (for me) is the piss poor cross platform support (PS3 often getting shafted) and poor hardware...ok that ties with 360.
XBL push for kinect has really started to bury it with shovelware and the arcade has been a nightmare as of late. And where the fuck is my extended friends list?
I think if Sony plays their cards right next gen and makes their console a little more developer friendly they can make a strong case to get back on top.
Follow the games, not the corporations. On further thought, maybe Xenoblade sequel or Last Story follow up exclusive to a different platform could elicit a reaction.
smh..you should start a petition for it.On further thought, maybe Xenoblade sequel or Last Story follow up exclusive to a different platform could elicit a reaction.

Or just rip off Steam. I dunno.
So this escalated all the way to death threats now? SMH

WTF is going on? This shouldn't be happening. Now I have to buy a Wii U? C'mon Sega c'mon
From what I can tell, there are about twenty times less freakouts than the people mocking them.
This is the first generation since the NES where Nintendo is launching first, and it looks like they aren't fucking around. If Nintendo wants to make a habit of resurrecting dead IPs, I approve of that direction. Not that I care about Bayonetta, but... this means Ogre Battle is a 0.00001% possibility, right? Right??
strong and steady, to the bitter end
I wouldn't. I doubt many would.Follow the games, not the corporations.
Anyway, if The Last Story 2 was made and was made as a Vita exclusive, I'd be buying a Vita.
A universal standard isn't necessarily a bad thing.smh..you should start a petition for it.
I didn't plan on getting the Wii U at launch, but I think now I have to buy the game even if I don't have the console, just to rub it on my titties! XD
I do wonder if Nintendo will commission a port of the original to the Wii U. Could sell it for like 20 bucks to fill in the post launch window cycle.
I am not buying a Wii U for one game.
Nintendo, show me Zelda, 3D Mario, and Samus, then you will get access to my wallet.
In all seriousness this was a very smart move for Nintendo; it probably cost them very little since the game was well into development before being cancelled, and it's a strong niche title that has enormous hardcore cred. If they market it properly (which Nintendo is very good at) and release it near launch, they have the opportunity to tie the franchise to their brand and grow it from here. It's good for everyone, even Sega since they must be getting some kind of cut for the license.
I don't think anybody expects third party exclusives for the Wii U on the regular. The big key has always been the question of multiplatform releases and whether Nintendo gets left out again. However, Nintendo was always criticized for not cultivating a "core" userbase on the Wii outside of the Nintendo fans. Hopefully, the Bayonetta 2 and MH3U announcements are the first steps in a grander strategy to get a more diverse userbase to prop up their system. As already stated, not unless the expectation is for Nintendo to moneyhat everything.
This is for all intents and purposes first party rather than third party publishing coming of its own volition. That's what people are skeptical of/waiting for and in general they're referring to western developers Bethesda, Valve, Rockstar, Epic etc.
I don't think anyone expects Bayonetta to be a system seller.
If there's something Nintendo doesn't really need help with, it's system sellers.
From a purely business stand point, what Nintendo is doing here is extremely risky.
I really don't think Bayonetta has the degree of fanbase to do that to any large extent.I think maybe they feel it's enough of a good game to actually pull some of the other platform gamers across?
One console future could be a good thing.
But having a single manufacturer would not. Now, get every company from Sony, to Samsung, to Acer releasing their own version of that core hardware?

The best third-party game ever, eh? Game sold a million copies. Sales don't = quality but you'd think more than a million people played the best third-party game ever. This is a nice get for Nintendo but it isn't a system seller outside of maybe a couple hundred thousand super hardcore Bayonetta fans.
If those are the games you're interested in, you should get a Wii U.
fixed &OMG, Shenmue 3 Wii U exclusive.
These days the lines are blurred anyway, at least with Microsoft and Sony.So bascially a PC.
