Chance that Bayonetta could be in Smash Bros 4.
Best thing ever

So I hop back on the House of Crack stream and suddenly booty butt cheeks. Booty butt cheeks everywhere.

House of Cracks indeed. Kappa

Chance that Bayonetta could be in Smash Bros 4.
Best thing ever
Nintendo is publishing the game, but Nintendo doesn't make games that aren't largely family friendly itself. I can't see a true Bayonetta inclusion happening in Smash Bros 4.

Now, one of the Wonderful 101 characters? I think that has a good chance.

don't know why people are complaining about bayonetta when it would have stayed dead if nintendo did not want to publish it. you want to blame somebody then blame sony and microsoft for not thinking of getting it exclusive. i doubt it would have cost them much either.

I don't know where people got the notion that Bayo was "revived" by Nintendo as if the IP dropped dead within a couple years. The existence of a sequel was shrouded in mystery and uncertainty but not declared to be officially dead.

I don't buy that it's because of Nintendos saving grace that we are getting a sequel, seems like hype talking. It would be much better for Sega financially to release PS360 versions alongside a WiiU version but since they aren't this is a classic case of money hats. I know a money hat when I see one and that's......

Why is Nintendo publishing the game? Why not Sega? Only possible reason is because Sega didn't have faith in a Bayo 2 making money and refused to pick it up, while Nintendo did. The guys at Platinum obviously knew the risk of releasing the game as a Wii U exclusive and the only possible reason for them to turn to Nintendo would be because they have no choice.

IIRC, Sega canceled quite a few console titles earlier in the year, around May or April, and one of them was Bayo 2.

ShockingAlberto made it pretty clear that Bayonetta 2 was cancelled by Sega. This is a legitimate case of Nintendo reviving a dead IP, and people should be grateful.

Outside of ShockingAlberto, we know that Sega released a PR saying that all of their non-core titles will be canceled to streamline their title selection (basically, Sonic is left), and Sakurai went to visit Kamiya soon after this. Sakurai and Kamiya are good friends (and godlike developers). Kamiya has been wanting to work with Nintendo for a while, so I'm sure he's glad to have have his foot in the door now.

Bayonetta 2 is not worth money hatting, anyway. Not because it's not a great game, but because it's not a big seller. Nintendo is just not that dumb.

Edit:
Goddamn this video reminds me of how good this game is:

Huh? I've never heard Sega-Sammy going bankrupt.

Also cool fighting game thread guys.
Fighting game fans also tend to have a strong love for Kamiya games. They share a lot of the same mechanics. Sometimes interests briefly spill over!

I'm not sure if Bayonetta will work better on WNF or the runback? I'm thinking Thursday might be the best fit, but it is already pretty crowded. Hopefully they add more characters this time. 1 was a bayonetta fest every time I saw it played.

I haven't watched any SMACK DVD or battle rap in a long ass time, but since Bum was streaming it I checked it out.

At first I was thinking the shit they say now a days is stupid (first round was terribad), but eventually by the end they picked it up.
Sanford was talking about this shit all day yesterday and I had no idea what it was until it was posted in GAF-Hop.

Shit got bananas and dude got mauled by the end of it when the momentum picked up.

I rmemeber when Bayonetta 1 was first announced, lots of people didn't like it, then they flipped a 180 when it was released and they played and then it was like god's gift to mankind.
I wish the best for Nintendo and Platinum Games tho, alas I got no interest in getting a WiiU anytime soon lol.

At any rate GET HYPE YOU IGNORANT TROGLODYTES

So is Sanford really trying to be good in Marvel now or is gonna quit and call the game ass again.
He still thinks the game is ass, but respects the game and players a bit more now because of the expected increase in the overall level of play now that the game has matured a bit.

He's playing more now but eh, I don't see him getting serious again anytime soon. He's started and stopped way too many times for to expect that.

Yea on Bums stream last night, as soon as he lost Saltford came out and just kept dogging the game like always, he hates the fuck out of xfactor.

Not gonna lie, UMVC3 is my favorite fighting game, but goddamn do I feel scummy as fuck when I win with a level 3 Dr Doom. :/

That's why I usually pop with Sentinel in Level 1 to kill off their second character in the incoming mixup, or with Taskmaster went I get a BnB on them on the last character.

It... just doesn't feel right.

That feel. I know it. You win with XF3 and your pissed at yourself and feel like you played like shit for it to have to gotten that far. You see it all the time on streams when players are shaking their head after winning.

I take solace in knowing the other player used their XF less effectively for me to even get to that point though.

Anything about a console release? looks gorgeous

Sadly no word on a console release yet, but I will post matches an ranbats in the weekly thread if I find any =3

It's like I keep saying nerf KFC so it's only Lvl. 1 you would feel less scummy that way.
...then again you don't see SA2 Chun, SA3 Yun nor SA3 Kun players feeling scummy when they win.

You should've seen the TvC thread a couple years back when news broke that the game would only be Wii-exclusive. There were literally people there praising the game as the next big fighter who immediately shifted to "FUK U CRAPCOM I NEVER WANTED THIS GAME ANYWAY!" overnight.
I was definitely around for that. Its a (small) part of why I dislike mvc3 so much.

I seriously know that feel. Though in my case, it's slightly amplified by playing Strider on anchor. Nothing like laughing at Dashaborous in F3 destroying things even though you know you could do better. :P

Every time things go bad early and I'm down to just Taskmaster, I almost single-mindedly fish for that guard cancel into happy birthday.

The shame never completely goes away, even if Taskmaster has to make more honest comebacks than most.

Psh. I play to win.

i have anchor Strider lol

I have such bad luck. I see this just as it ended. How was it? I saw the score, and I can't even imagine what happened.

Spinking just kind of overwhelmed him, even when Shuuto DP'd out of pressure he was usually right back in it a few seconds a go.

That sounds great. I can't wait for the archives to come up. I want to see how Spinking approaches the neutral game against a top Mitsuru.

The only thing that feels scummy to my in UMvC3 is TACs. I never feel guilt over burning XF3. Maybe because my anchor sucks...

The only time I ever TAC is for the combo afterwards. People who intentionally TAC for the effect make me feel dirty for them.

At the same time, I'm a total advocate of "play to win". Weird huh? :lol

Does anybody still play SC5 online?

It's a wasteland most of the time when I go on at night.

When I first saw SC5's online set-up with all the rooms and regions, I thought it was cool, but still had doubts that the player base was big enough for that kind of separating.

As of now, I think it was a bad idea on some levels. The amount of people playing online is not big enough to sustain everybody being in different parts of the online structure.

I wish now they could consolidate it (like when an MMO contracts it's servers when there is not enough people to fill out everything).

Get rid of those city/country rooms. So the pool is bigger for matchmaking. Plus I hate the region select options in player matches. There is no "All".

IDK, just thinking out loud.
