It's just funny when you see those childhood toys again for the first time in 20-25 years and realize how much imagination played a part in how you perceived them as a little kid.

Anyone remember how bad ass this was in the 80s?:

How about a more articulate Battle Cat? :D

I would like to think some of my old toys are in my mother's attic or basement. I remember selling a lot of them at garage sales as an early teenager. D:

I'm interested >_>

All I ask is you cover the price of shipping $4.90 in the US, if you want to kick anything else in that's cool too.

Is it a supernatural Western?
!

Yeah, definitely so. Just finished the first trade/collection. Nice mix of genres, art is decent, supernatural stuff has more of a adventure feel than horror feel. Evil civil war generals, undead, shoot outs, supernatural gunslingers.... I was entertained for my $5.

Comics GAF, who here is going to watch the new Green Arrow show on CW? I was really into Smallville for like the first 4 seasons, but I got sick of the "villain-of-the-week" pace.

Ill watch the first episode at least. If it doesn't click, ill stick with supernatural.

Holy shit this is amazing!!! Look at all that hair! I need this action figure!!! Hairless Puck figure sucks!!!

Is it a supernatural Western?

I've always been intrigued by it, but have never gotten around to picking it up.

Time to delve into Black Kiss 2. Dicks, dicks, dicks, dicks, dicks, dicks, DICKS!

It is!

It's pretty good, I really like it!

I have always tried to sell more people into it but I suck!

Give it a try man, if you don't like the story at least the art is great!

Puck, why you so badass?

As both an Alpha Flight stan, and a devout worshipper of anything MojoWorld, I'm in for the long haul. AND we get Storm and Betsy? Just take my wallet.

You know what comic sort of deals with this issue the IDW transformer comics. They really get at the absurdity of it all to the point optimus and Megatron had to laugh at the pointlessness of it all.

Are you sure they weren't just laughing at the absurdity of being in a Transformers comic? :P

Those comments are absolutely amazing.
never read comments. ever.
I agree, this whole "miss thing" thang is ridiculous - there are so many other established characters that could be used...and if you're going to generate a new "super hero" why in the heck would you pick one of Johnny's flings and throw her into a Thing-Suit? I mean come one, how may times do we need to have it thrown in our face that Johnny is a "player," not to mention how it just somehow comes across as male chauvinistic...Is he trying to pay homage to Frankie Ray? If so: EPIC FAIL! It's just plain stupid...if you wanted an "everyman" or "regular person" seems like there could be a more plausible way of introducing that character. Example: Say there has been a receptionist and/or student that has worked at the Baxter Tower and has gone through all of the Secret Invasion, Fear itself and has a good knowledge of who and what the FF are, their trials and tribulations, she's invited into the family for one reason or another, and finds some kind of protective exoskeleton that she has to put on to protect the kids - voila! I'm tired of all the hero-knock offs...and you all know of all of them that I'm talking about...Get friggin' original Marvel!

Wow...did Matt Fraction think that joke at the end was funny? i didn't think so..its a question we've all been wondering it looks ridiculous! I already didn't take the book seriously because of the cover and Miss thing and now it looks like he isn't even taking FF (which was already a great book) seriously...so why should I? i will NOT be buying this. 4 good bucks i can save on a gallon of gas. if i was the interviewer and he told me "what if Katy Perry got a supersuit.." id just sock him in the face for saying that.

the only thing of fraction's that ill be buying is Hawkeye, which has been good so far, hopefully he doesn't screw it up in the long run.

-This rant brought to you by, zack
Will Give Both Of Them A Try

And as a curiosity, here in Brazil, we call Puck "Pigmeu", which translates, obviously, into Pygmy, which is why I had to google the name, because I always thought he was supposed to be a Pygmy.

Oh I plan on watching it but I do hope it'll be good ^_^;

Usually it takes two weeks if you factor in amazon shipping it to your Aramex account. But sometimes, when the planets and the sun in our solar system align, the gods bless us and provide the perfect conditions to allow Aramex to deliver it to us in a week.

Of course, it can get expensive sometimes

Alright thanks, I'm down for a 2 week wait TBH, gonna start ordering next week, thanks a lot for the help gang =D

Is Paul Cornell's Action run worth tracking down? I remember the Lex story getting some buzz, but I never got around to reading any of it.

Yes it is! I personally liked that run. FYI I hate Lex but Cornell's writing and stories were very good and enjoyable...heck the 10th Doctor works as Lex's aide XD

Also the IDW TF comics are good, quit hatin'

Somebody has to tell the post the ultimate universe sucks and no one cares about it.

The Ultimate universe is what got me into comics, and while it's nowhere near its prime since Ultimatum, I still care about it.

People heavily invested in Marvel's Ultimate Universe may want to avoid the internet today... here's why.
Goddammit.

Just keep that shit out of Ultimate Spider-man, you have a great character there but for 50% of the issues so far it has been some sort of cross-over.
For fuck's sake, let the character build a bit before tossing him into all this nonsense. He doesn't even have any enemies yet (anymore)!

Whats going on in Ultimates these days, im tempted to buy an issue just to catchup on all the madness....i literally havent touched anything from the Ultimate Universe since Spiderman #5.

Debating whether or not to click the spoilers. I've been keeping current on Ultimate U but not exactly heavily invested in it.

I will add this to the list.

Better late than never.

It has Deathstroke so I will want to see a little bit of it.

I really liked what I read of IDW Transformers :(

I tried to like these, but I dropped them after three or four issues. The writing suffers from the same problem a lot of contemporary writers have - a nescient desire to write snarky characters, but every character ends up sounding the same and doesn't serve the story.

The Giffen / DeMatteis Justice League is the model for this, only Giffen / DeMatteis don't let the snark get in the way of telling the story, write interesting character interactions, and manage to write characters with more than one voice given the context of the situation they're in.

In other words - Fritchman tier writing, see also the recently cancelled Defenders book for examples of every character being so snarky / witty and it failing the story.

Speaking of dicks. . .

Black Kiss 2 - wow!

Just, wow!

Jedeye would love this book if he could buy it over there in Yurop. Boobs, dongs, and beef drapes all over. Jedeye Snev approved!

Plus it has a hermaphroditic succubus - TToB Approved! :3

If this is Howard Chaykin having some sort of episode, I don't know, but I'm enjoying it so far. I'm not sure what the end game is, but there's an overt supernatural tone to it and Chaykin is putting more effort into a book about playing demonic tag with bodily fluids than a lot of artists put into their work for headline books at the Big Two.

Meanwhile, if you're seeking more representation in comics as an African American - read Hypernaturals! Although the character of Half Shell has a pretty crap design. Sorry, the whole robo-armor-kini thing is just silly in the context of the book. This is a case where I would really prefer to see a body suit on the character, just so it wouldn't look so damn silly.

Ignoring costume silliness, Half Shell is also dangerously close to a bad stereotype of the finger wagging, neck craning ghetto sista with attitude. I see what the writers are trying to get at, much like Grant Morrisson and his Tattooed Man one shot for Final Crisis. The bad news is, you're just writing a cliched one note character.

With luck they'll give her character some depth and a body suit. :X

Fortunately IQ (IIRC, sorry blanking) goes nicely against common stereotypes, so he balances out the stupidity of Half Shell.

That said - space adventure! Crazy sci-fi hijinks. Issues are pretty dense story wise and the logic of the world is a lot of fun.

Yeah, I read Black Kiss 2, it was pretty fun stuff. It's a super ballsy book (pun half intended), there's sex and then there's Chaykin drawing tentacle rape and dickgirls and everything, it's interesting to see how much the audience can accept with this kind of stuff. And it's also fascinating that not only will Image publish it but also that other people won't go quite as hardcore as this even when they can. There is definitely a kind of storytelling ghetto that books like this get pushed into, like as if having a hard dick in a panel automatically means the story must be shite.

That said though, the story was incredibly slight, so outside of the 'whoa' factor I don't know if I want to continue reading. But it's an interesting experiment into this kind of OTT expression of nudity.

LOL LOL LOL

They take the "good ideas" of the Ultimate universe and incorporate them into the 616, and the Ultimate universe gets extended Civil War fanfic! It would only be better if every time Cap faced a tough choice in office he started crying like Iron Eye Cody. XD

Red Hulk for president! Troll thuggin' president is best president.

I'm not sure where it's going either, but like Quinn and Vigil's Faust; I'm along for the ride.

I'm assuming since it's Chaykin there's a suitable resolution in sight.

Plus now I can tell my shop I'm dropping Saga because it doesn't have as many cocks in it per issue as Black Kiss 2! :P

If my jump to a conclusion is true, Newsarama are such hacks. Their front page about Ultimate Comics' big happening has a spoiler warning saying don't click unless you want spoilers, but the title right before that is
Yes, He Can

LET ME GUESS WHAT THAT SPOILER IS BECAUSE THEY DIDN"T MAKE IT OBVIOUS ENOUGH

Its impossible to not be spoile by whatever shocking thing is happening in comics nowadays because marvel and dcs entire business plans are to spoil big events as much as humanly possible before they happen

The 12 year old who's only been, what, 6 comics so far? I wouldn't agree that he's boring, at all. But I would say that he's barely gotten started. And I have a lot of excitement and dread, looking forward to the fallout from his uncle's death.

The original cover was pretty baller.

And yet another case for why skirt Wonder Woman is best Wonder Woman. You pants guys and shorts guys out there can both gtfo.

Holy shit! That's a great cover. So, did all the zero issues have actual covers before they went with the "popping out of the panels" theme?

If they did, Cliff Chiang is the only one whose shown his off. My guess is that he drew it before finding out about the popping out the page theme.

Bleeding Cool is the only source right now, so have your salt shakers ready, but the latest rumor out of DC has writer Paul Cornell leaving Demon Knights... and possibly jumping over to Marvel. The book may be canceled or be rebranded as a result.

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/09/18/is-paul-cornell-leaving-demon-knights-too/

Also, at one point Gail Simone and Greg Rucka were going to team up for a Question/Huntress series.

My main problem with the suit are the boring colors, so the big red one I think is cool and the stealth gets a pass becuase it is stealth and has cool lights on the right places.
