They just lost their shitty head coach, their QB may or may not be back, they have a shitty defense, and they're playing Bama. What do you really think will happen? The question isn't whether you will lose, it's whether Saban will have mercy and pull his first and second string at all or if he runs up the score.

What in the hell is this?

Pretty mild from us. Must be in the acceptance phase now of being a fucking joke. Tell me Bama fans after that sets in when does the fan base accept that being one of the historic big name schools in football doesn't matter anymore and the only way to get back to relevancy is to park 4 million plus in front of someone's front door?

Edit: also it really doesn't matter if Tyler Wilson is back as he can't block for himself or play defense.

Quit living in the past man.

You choose a rival, one that you still have a chance to beat (or at least think you have a chance) and fixate your year on that game. Alabama did this with Tennessee and Auburn (neither were juggernauts during the Fran/Shula years, outside of Auburn 2004).

You put your focus on the one or 2 good players, hope for some highlight reel plays and good stat seasons, hope they go early in the NFL draft.

Learn to love Jefferson Pilot Broadcasts and the 3 Daves. Unfortunately, the economy has robbed this one from you, so I don't know what else to say.

The rest are the regular stand ins. Hunt, drinking, videogames, hookers, other sports, cooking, sleeping, drugs, suicide.

I'm going to blame it on being on a new mattress and not getting much sleep since Friday. After that, I'm out of excuses. Should have gone to the Harvard of the South.

My favorite part was you were still optimistic if Wilson was going to play. Not gonna lie though, when you said they lose thier head coach, I went on espn.com to see if JLS was fired.

This is exactly where we are now. Although we still end up on CBS and ESPN a fair amount because of the teams we are playing/newer TV deal.

I'm happy to provide laughs since bluemax hasn't been around.

I don't know if this was posted after the Bama beatdown on Arky, but this is pure gold from JLS:

During his halftime interview, Smith was asked: "This team has had a tough week, though. How do you make sure they keep their heads up?"

And Smith answered in only a way that John L. Smith could:

"You slap 'em and say, 'C'mon baby, keep your head up.'"

I'll PM my list to TTK and if he wants to go with it he can. He's put in a ton of work the past few years on it and I was wanting to help, but I don't want it to be taken the wrong way.

Top 10 posters for last week's thread (actually 11 since jakncoke and I tied)

#4, Just were Kansas state should be after beating Oklahoma this week....

In my Dreams, we get destroyed every time we play Oklahoma...

Colorado would be 3-0 if John L. was their coach.

Simply put, their piss would be going supernova.

Emotional Energy out the wazoo.

Well, not gonna happene because it looks like Embree will have his full contract.

CU is super wary of hiring expensive coaches after Hawkins.

Eastern Michigan assistant coach Mike Hart will not be available to the media this week for the game against Michigan State. Wonder why he's so quiet all of a sudden.

Has he not been quiet? Help us out here.

Yeah I don't follow Eastern Michigan that well. I put all my obsessive fan tendencies into Georgia Southern when I'm not stalking Georgia players' Twitter feeds and Instagrams.

I'm gonna need some help on this too.

Mike Hart, played RB for UM, nicknamed Mike the mouth Hart. I posted about him the other day talking trash on returning for his senior season to beat Ohio State and win a MNC. Then they started out losing to appy st and destroyed by Oregon, then him and Henne went 0-4 career vs OSU.

Because Eastern Michigan is Michigan State's little brother?

:3

but he regularly kicked Michigan State's ass. If Eastern was playing OSU, that'd be different. He can talk all the shit he wants to about MSU because he shat on them annually.

This is just a really underwhelming story. I guess he probably means something to B1G fans.

There's more to it, he would always talk a bunch of trash leading up to big games. But I like that story the best because of appy st.

That was a great upset. I remember Mike Hart now, his name just didn't stick out to me and I didn't know why I should care that some coach at Eastern Michigan wasn't talking crap.

After the whole "Little Brother" comments by Hart after the 2007 MSU-MICH game, Dantonio responded saying that pride comes before the fall. Michigan has lost four in a row, and been especially beatdown at home in 2008 and 2010. But they're back now, so it won't be of much consequence this year.

So, can someone tell me what's its like when your alma mater wins a football game?

It's so much better to know your team sucks. I remember last year I could actually semi enjoy games instead of being a nervous wreck. But if you got a shot at winning something,
we can still get a trophy!!!!
, losing sucks so, so much more.

Here's this week's pick'em!
Don't worry, I'm not freaking out over the USC loss. I actually finally got a new apartment yesterday so I was a bit busy. Got andy's stuff, thanks for that -- I really appreciate it. I ended up going mostly similar but with a minor change here and there.
Note the Thursday and Friday matchups, and get your picks in early!

Sad thing is that AQM is probably going to drop the Buffs, even though their Willie Lyles who has funneled players to the Buffs in the past (Tony Jones/Yuri Wright) is still working on him, think Saturday was the last straw for him.
