JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation |OT| Your next post will be... OH MY GOD!

The OP song isnt really good however the animation and style is, it gives a really good feeling to the anime and tops the openings that western comic based movies do. Dio looks great in it.

I think the song is written for the anime, the lyrics seem to say so. They contain stuff that's typical in the first parts of the jojo series.

As expected the transtition to the ending also makes it worth your time to continue watching till the end. Roundabout is an awesome song. Jojo blah blah is a great opening.

So many stills (some work, others really don't), animation for the action was weak and some more undesirable use of color.
Yet, this was still quite entertaining to watch.

I hope this becomes only more amusing from here on out.

DTL: Why would there be friendship? They're fated enemies! If you want bromance you need to wait for the Speedwagon scenes.

I have no idea why I haven't posted here yet. Anyways, I share the feelings most people seem to have about the series so far. The animation is not that great, but it's being adapted pretty well so far. The pace is kinda fast so far, but that's a good thing honestly, the faster shit hits the fan the better. The use of color is fantastic and totally Jojo. The over the top feeling it has is perfect. The music is great, and the choice of opening and ending are fantastic. Seriously DAT OPENING. It really feels like they're doing the best that they can do with this anime.

Also, Duwang subs are the best thing that could've happened to the anime.

Well, with a title like "Jojo -The Fate of that Blood-" I'd be extremely surprised if it wasn't. I really like that they did that, gives it even more of an old school anime feel.

Speaking of the opening, I don't know if it's just a coincidence that happened because of the way they do the colors or if it's a subtle shout out to Part 7, but I thought it was neat whatever it was.

Yeah, Dio is kind of an irredeemable asshole while Speedwagon is the truest of bros.

Ok so right now the first episode is out, but the Blu-Ray doesn't come out until next year? How many vols. have actually been released so far?

If you're referring to the anime, the disc releases won't be available for a while. Right now the first 2 episodes of the anime have aired.

There will be nine blu ray volumes with the last to release in Sep 2013 and the first to release in Jan 2013. So far its set for 26 episodes and the blu rays have eng subs. Its so far not been licensed for release outside of JPN.

Even though I felt this episode was a bit weaker than the first, it was still so much fun to watch. I never have this much fun watching anime, where I'm actually fully invested in what's going on and can't help but say/scream/laugh at things that happen. And to tell you the truth, it's making me want to actually watch more anime, which I NEVER feel like doing. The use of roundabout at the end was astounding. Cannot wait for next week. And as I said earlier, the opening is FABULOUS.

I honestly forgot how bad ass Speed Wagon was.

If I recall correctly, the hat-spinning part is pretty much his peak lol.

Also, you gotta consider that, in the big picture, Speed Wagon's two buddies are probably the luckiest cannon-fodder in the entire series considering what kind of fates befall those types of characters in later parts.

Heh, like I saw someone say before, Speedwagon's superpower is to be present at important moments and react screaming to appear like a relevant character. He also threw a hat once.

Still, it's hard to deny he's one of the most important characters in the series.

Speedwagon is the most badass bro in all of Jojo history.
He struck rich and what did he do? He made a foundation pretty much dedicated to support his good friend Johnathan's future generations. Speedwagon stayed a virgin out of respect for Johnathan, srsly that's dedication right there.

Jojo ep1

Absolutely fabulous, My shounen haato is burning up, I didn't expect it to translate over well but this adaption exceeded my expections.

David delivers

Dio you magnificent bastard and joestar you gentlemen among gentlemen, can't wait for speedwagon to show up next ep hyped.

Jojo Jojo Jojo Jojo Jojo Jojo ep2

Hot damn that Manly opening, I didn't read or look at anyones posts So I wasn't ready, now am going to be whispering jojo all day, some castlevania esque intro.
When man with tree trunk like legs says this to you, know to start sweating bullets.

Awesome episode, mora speedwagon mora everyone one cause there just so awesome.

Yeah I really don't think we need to be dicks here. This might be a really old manga, and yes the fans have probably all read it, but there are still people who are coming into this new, and they shouldn't get spoiled just because this is such a belated adaptation. :)

David Production is doing a pretty solid job even though they're not a top-tier studio in the industry, and it's great if more people get introduced to Jojo this way, especially if they actually get to adapt all of it eventually. :D

JOJO JOJO JOJO

Such a killer OP, i love this series already. Episode two was great if David Production can keep this up this could be one of my favorite adaptations. It seems they really care for the manga. I forgot how badass Johnathan was this early on. The scene where he confronts Dio :O

Can't wait for next weeks episode Dio in full magnificent bastard mode!

DIOOOO! JOJOOOOOOO! DIOOOOOO! JOJOOOOOOO!

All this testosterone just makes me want to rewatch Hokuto no Ken.

I'd say that's a compliment. Everyone should strive to look like the King of Badass. Face on the only similarities are the style of costume.

Of course, anyone that disagrees is already dead anyways.

Well, to not get too off-topic, while rewatching the op for god knows what time I noticed that they managed to sneak in a major spoiler moment at the end when showing those "manga" panels. Huh, wonder why it took me so long to notice it.

I would say the 2 episodes are about 1.5 Volumes, they only have 26 episode for 114 chapters.

I think they are upto chapter 9 or 10 now.

Yeah, and outside of the first episode, it's not like they were even rushing things. Amazing what having a supply of 1000+ chapters can do for an anime's pacing >.>

That's probably something you shouldn't ask in GAF.

Im not asking for a link, just the name of a good subber. Ive seen 3 different ones, and generally wanna stick to the same group if possible

also, me asking is just as incriminating as the other people in the thread posting subtitled pictures

Duwang is the best. Really accurate, and done quick.

Enjoy the beautiful Duwang.

Unless you're reading the new, much better scanlations. I feel that the Duwang scans should be required reading as some sort of history lesson though.
