New Granny Smith levels are actually somewhat difficult. Looks like they listened to feedback.

Anyone play Girls Like Robots? Wary of the 5 star TA review.
I'm still really liking GLR but it's sort of ridiculous you can't move tiles around on the board. It really, really sucks when I want to move one tile and it turns out it was one of the first I placed so I have to jam undo ten times after doing my best to memorize how everything was set up.

I'm craving a solid RPG experience, possibly Japanese.

Where should I start?
Outside ports of things like Final Fantasy and some original stuff like Chaos Rings there's Adventure Bar Story (no iPad/Universal, much like SEGA's old ports like Phantasy Star II I'd otherwise get) and various lesser stuff, copycats, grind fests, etc. I also liked Guardian Saga but it's really too basic. If you want a deep WRPG instead I'd recommend Avernum: Escape from the Pit, maybe Avadon: The Black Fortress, there are also some first person dungeon crawl-likes ported from palmtops. And that Cthulhu port.

I really can't get into Game Dev Story, it's just so boring. Maybe it's just not my game. =/

Wasn't there a cafe game out there called Hello Cappuccino? I can't seem to find it anymore.

Oh I have never been one to replay stuff. :)

I got this already.

I think King of Dragon Pass is replayable in the way Oregan Trail is. It's a shorter game with a lot of randomness and is meant to be replayed.

I think the best iOS games are the shorter ones that are designed with replayability in mind.

diggin polara as well. the nods to ikuraga are awesome and the platforming is challenging enough without being too frustrating. i feel like it's my fault when I miss a jump or color change.

here's a link for you lazy folks:

just to share some awesome cutscenes from the game

I can't be the only one who got a severe case of Wario Ware nostalgia from this shot, am I? *sniff*

I finally bit the bullet (as it were) on Zookeeper VS, and I love it, but was frustrated that you couldn't use the same account on two devices. But as I discovered, if you (using something like iExplorer) copy ~/Documents/savedata.dat out of the "VSZookeeper" folder on one device and slap it into the other, both will use the same account happily. Just in case anyone else ran into that issue.

I'm new to this iOS gaming.

I was shocked to be finally playing Bejeweled Blitz mobile. Then I checked out what else was out there and purchased Lili. I'm loving it!

I tried to find and dl Openfeint, but could only find GameChannel (I assume it's the same thing). GameChannel says they've merged with GREE, so I downloaded it as well.

So far, I'm really enjoying myself, and normally I couldn't give a fat babies ass about mobile gaming.

Delete them, forget about it. Game Center is the only social network you need to worry about it.

Have fun!

Polara is fairly awesome - kind of reminds me of the game Outland on PSN and Xbox Live a little.

Watched a little gameplay video, and it does seem to offer a lot of variety for a runner. It's a shame, though, they don't expand more on the story elements shown in the beginning of the game, perhaps breaking the levels up with a few things here and there. It otherwise looks like one long run. It starts out, though, more Mirror's Edge iOS than Mirror's Edge iOS does (strictly in terms of story).

Deleted GREE.

My hopes were up with them since I thought Capcom, Squenix, and Konami were working on some promising titles.

Just bought Beat Sneak Bandit and Happy Street. OMG, what have I been missing?
My Game Center ID is Epcott_x

There are more story segments throughout the game. Nothing amazing but decent artwork and decent story. (pretty much get a new story segment every 10 levels)

I'm enjoying it as well, but there's definitely some trial and error in the game at least earlier on. As you progress and get used to how the game works you can become pretty good at predicting what the game is going to throw at you, but there will still be the odd occasion where you couldn't have known what was coming up.

My main struggle with the game is getting my brain to quickly distinguish between needing to jump or change colour. Also, and it's possibly because my right hand is dominant, I find myself jumping before colour changing where the opposite is usually the more effective way of going about it.

I've played 12 or so levels of Polara and I still find the lack of iphone5 support really frustrating. Makes the controls feel unresponsive because the sides of the screen don't register

you can switch the controls around if i remember correctly :D

and try the different modes if you haven't already! that would be a true test

Yeah I'll try switching the controls at some point. I'll go to the other modes when I'm through the story mode (or frustrated with it, if it comes to that).

Check out Gasketball. You can download and play some of it for free and if you like it it's $2.99 to unlock more.

Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2l_wms-4NI

A few more quick recommendations:

Halcyon: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/halcyon/id387838417?mt=8
And a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKBasrEFSx0

The Big Big Castle: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-big-big-castle!/id515771744

Fingle: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fingle/id490109661?mt=8

That one is actually meant for couples and is pretty fun. Here's a trailer for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff0fku1r-gU

Sounds like the theme was going to be sci-fi but now it's going to be another fantasy title?

Either way, great news, will buy.

I think the fact that they want to call it a spiritual successor means it's sci-fi. But yeah, the wording is confusing, so it could go both ways.

How's Bard's Tale on this thing? Noticed it dropped to $1.99. I'm really more interested in having the three classic games since I already have the PS2 version of the new one.

I'm interested in The Bard's Tale after the price drop as well.

Oh, guys, I need some help. Which of these names is great for an iOS gaming related website?

TouchMyGames or iOSGaming? Any other suggestion?

Isn't it still $4.99?

It's got the 3 classic games and the new one. It's 4 full humorous RPGs in one really cheap package.

I have no suggestions (yet) but TouchMyGames is basically TouchArcade, so ignore that, and iOSGaming is really dull, which may or may not work depending on the tone of your site.

What do you mean it's TouchArcade's?

Also, it's a Danish (.DK) domain, not .com unless I change my mind and do an International project. =)

riptide gp got an upgrade that supports iPhone 5 resolution and uses all the graphical horsepower on the device. game runs super smooth and looks great. may be worth checking out if you wanna push your iPhone 5's capabilities. fun game as well.

Damn keen for Phantom Leader to make an appearance on the store. Should be this week or next, rumour has it.

If I could cast frivolous wishes about, Where There Is Discord: War in the South Atlantic would be a great iPad game.

Thanks for the heads-up. It's £1.49 in the UK.

One more for the backlog.

Has anyone used a Wiimote in conjunction with Blutrol? I can't seem to get it to work, not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm making profiles the same as I would with the iCade, except picking Wiimote as the controller and mapping the controls to Wiimote buttons. Then I connect the Wiimote in the Blutrol app, and start whatever game I've mapped controls for, but it never works, the apps don't recognise any input from the Wiimote. Any thoughts?

Bump for new page, anyone?

Have there been any good grindy action rpgs / korean rpgs in the last 6 months or so? Something in the style of Queens Crown or Zenonia?

I'm in the mood for a time waster and I always liked this style of game
